Everyone wanted a flawless and a healthy looking skin. As we age, we put more demand on our own appearance because of our work and demand from the society since looking good is percussion to a successful life. In our teens, we wanted acne free skin. In our 20s, we do not have much time for skin or many of us are battling adult acne. When we reach 30th birthday, we wanted a younger looking skin. No one wanted to look old. It is alright to be 30 or even 40 years old but looking like a 70 years old grandmother is definitely a NO! I think every woman would scream and throw glasses at anyone that ever say that she looks like a 70 years old grandmother. I know i would! On the other hand, we would be glad if people say that we look much younger than our real age.
This when i think that anti aging products are created at
the first place and will continue to be in demand because no one wants to look
old. We want to stay looking and delay
the sign of aging. First of all, many
are worried about if we are too young or too old to ever start using anti aging
products. Well, our needs maybe
different in our 10s, 20s, 30s and 40s but one is similar is that prevention is
better than cure. I think one should not
wait until all the problems start appearing to start the anti aging regime.
If you are in your teens or early 20s and do not have any fine lines appearing on your skin, don’t start denying that you do not need to use any anti aging products on your skin. I would say that it important to prevent wrinkles from happening and that is when one product comes into mind that is sunblock or sunscreen. Unlike many years ago where sunscreen are cream and cause clogged pores, now there are hundreds of light weight sunscreen with high SPF and PA that will help to block the destruction cause by the UV light to the skin. This product is definitely a must to maintain a youthful skin. BB cream, CC cream, foundation or even powder are not enough to block the harmful sunlight so always use a sunscreen or sunblock everyday. If you are in your late 20s or 30s with dry skin, then go ahead and start using anti aging products as they are much more moisturizing to the skin. It will help with preventing the formation of fine lines since dry skin cause wrinkles to appear faster than those with oily skin.
If you are 40s and beyond of course I do not have to mention about using anti aging products anymore as it is a must to target all the concerns- Pigmentation, dark spots and even wrinkles. Look for products that contain retinol, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, hydroxy acids, niacinamide or peptides.
Ingredients such as hydroxyl acid help to combat problem like rough, acne prone skin and they actually combat aging at the same time as they renew the skin by removing the upper layer of old, dead skin, stimulate the growth of smooth and even pigmented new skin. Vitamin E is commonly use to heal wounds and of course we don’t wait until you are 40 years old to start or suitable to use hydroxyl and vitamin E that actually act as anti aging products too besides combating problem like acne and blemishes.
With so many choices of ingredients that help to combat aging and we no longer have all those heavy anti aging cream that are meant for older woman 10 years ago, I think it there is no reason why one should not use any anti aging products until they reach 40s.
So, why not start using your anti-aging products today?
The opinions expressed here are my own and honest as always.

I'm in my late 20s and was about to purchase anti aging serum but most of the time, people, even the sales girl would stop me, saying I don't need it yet, or that anti aging products are for those who've hit 30 so if you use it before you're 30, later your skin will be immune to the formula. How confusing! I still wanna use it 'tho. Better to prevent than to cure :/
ReplyDeleteHi Nanda =) . I am also in my late 20s. I think the reason they stop you from purchasing is because they may think the formula is too moisturising for your skin type (if you have oily skin). They are usually meant for dry skin type. It may cause breakouts.
ReplyDeleteHowever, i have not start with anti-aging serum but i start with anti aging care. For examples, use Sunscreen or sunblock everyday, eat a lot of vegetables, less meat, less sugar. You can try using products that contain Vitamin C, AHA, hydroxyl as they are known to help renew the skin. Hydrating products will help and prevent the skin from developing wrinkles =). Hope this help.
