Okay, let's talk about this cleanser I have been using for FOUR YEARS, and it's still my absolute favorite. The 2024 version?

My sensitive acne prone skin feels incredibly clean, soft, and hydrated. The matcha gives it that extra boost of antioxidants, leaving me with a healthy glow. 

If you're searching for the bang for money cleanser and smells like tea, you HAVE to check this one out.

Packaging: New packaging for 2024 .  Box has very detailed information in Hangul and in English.  The plastic tube also has a new packaging with more information in English.  There's tamper evident seal.  The star ingredients are written as the ratio.

Ingredients talk: 

Paraben free, sulfate free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free,  silicone free, fungal-acne safe (malassezia), reef safe, fragrance free. 

Matcha leaves 2550 ppm , matcha extract 400ppm

It is a water based cleanser with green tea, centella asiatica, ceramide, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E.

Matcha is suitable for oily skin type or combination skin.  It is good for acne prone skin.

It is good for anti aging, dry skin, sensitive skin, brightening skin and scar healing

The rest the ingredients are for hydration, emulsifier and preservatives. 

Texture: pH 5.5 which is gentle for any skin type.  Natural colour from matcha.  Colour changes with time after exposure to air.  Green soft paste that foam into creamy dense foam.  Smells just like matcha.

Review: I went through many tubes of this cleanser and still enjoy using it.  One tube last few months for me.  I only need a little amount and it is gentle on my skin. Makes my skin soft, refreshed, calm, doesn't iritate and oil control without dryness.  I find it gentle even when I was having weak skin barrier.

Overall: Highly recommend for a very good affordable gentle matcha foam cleanser suitable for combination skin type.

Review: It feels light on the skin, clean the skin without dryness and doesn't leave residue on the skin after cleansing.  Skin does feel cleaner, clearer pores and clearer skin tone.  It removes makeup and sunscreen.  One doesn't need a second cleanser.

Overall: Light oil cleanser for any skin type.

I finally got to try TWG tea chamomile which is like epitome of luxury tea experience.

I used to just curious what's the taste of fancy luxury tea.  Of course, coming from no money makes me wonder what 'rich' unique experience these rich people have.

I am still working poor so I was very excited for this tea.

TWG Tea is a Singaporean luxury teahouse chain and a namesake brand of artisanal tea. 

The brand was established in 2008 as a subsidiary of the Singaporean lifestyle company, The Wellbeing Group - from which the acronym, TWG, was derived.

The luxury of choice and convenience, TWG Teabags contains the exact same handpicked, whole leaf teas as retailed in loose teas – conveniently portioned for the perfect cup.Soft and soothing, these rare TWG Tea chamomile flowers boast a rich honey aroma and yield a golden, theine-free cup.

TWG Teabags are entirely hand-sewn, free from metal staples and glue which preserves the quality and flavour of the tea.

Packaging: I only have a packet of this tea so sorry I forgotten the photos of the plastic packet. The design of TWG packet.  The inside is a nylon bag containing the ingredient.  Not reusable since the bag is sealed shut.  No staple. For many, good tea doesn't come in tea bags.  I don't mind because I don't like to wash a lot of utensils.

Ingredients: One single ingredient which is chamomile flower packet.

Review: It is marketed as luxury tea and given as gits for the beautiful packaging.  It tastes pretty similar to some popular brands such as as Twining.  I guess people go for the luxurious experience at the shop itself with afternoon tea and 'upper class' people or people who don't know much about tea.  Based on the taste of the tea, it is pretty normal.  For lower price with similar if not better taste , there are something more suitable for normie like me.

Overall: Okay tea quality.  It has nice packaging though.

Review:Absorb easily on to the skin, hydrate, brightening,  soothe skin the whole day.  It does brighten the skin and plump up the skin.  I find it gentle since using it twice a day for a month and it doesn't cause break out or irritating.  It is not for reducing blackheads or for treating acne.

Overall: Hydrating, brightening anti aging serum for dry skin type.

The main ingredient is Centella Asiatica extract and vegan ProBio-Cica (Centella fermented with TECA) which is good for anti-inflammatory and soothing.

There are other ingredients such as  niacinamide, ceramides, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants which are good for hydration, reduces irritation, scar healing, reduce redness and brightening.

Phytosterols, Glycerin, Diglycerin, fatty alcohol, plant oil, Shea Butter

The rest the ingredients are for emulsifier, texture and preservatives. 

Texture:Brownish rich creamy texture that goes on smooth, absorbs quickly and non greasy without any scent.

Review: Cream contains probiotics and fermented centella asiatica extracts that calms irritation, skin redness, strengthen skin barrier, gentle on weak skin, soften the skin, brighten skin and good for dry skin.  For my skin type, I use it as my night cream and very small amount as it is quite rich.

Overall: Great probiotics moisturiser for skin that needs need healthy skin barrier.  For combination skin, it is suitable as night cream and also during winter.
