This is the first time I stumbled upon a brand that offer 100% natural product and is very kind to my wallet *YES*! I would really recommend this brand if you do love natural product and it is surprisingly works very well too =) . Their products are animal cruelty free, 100%natural products and PETE.

Here is the list of ingredients. It is made from natural products and no harmful ingredients. The fragrance is from natural oil. The shampoo smell nice and it is not chocking on me at all. It does smell a little like lychee or pamelo but I just couldn’t figure it out the exact scent.

Before I start telling you how amazing this shampoo is to my hair, I would like to just update my scalp type and hair type. I have very oily scalp and normal hair. So, the problem with my hair is it gets oily fast. For this type of hair, it is best to use clarifying shampoo but not on daily basis as it will disrupt the scalp barrier.

The bottle is really very simple and white. It is non slippery type of bottle.



The shampoo is colourless and really very watery. However, do not look down upon it. The shampoo sure lathered up very well. I get a lot of foam just from a little amount of shampoo. It cleanses my scalp really well and to my surprise there is no residue left on my hair. Love the pampered feeling of the calming smell of the shampoo. The effect of having clean, oil free scalp lasted for three days which is marvelous because normal shampoo couldn't stop my scalp from being greasy when the sun sets. That is how greasy my scalp is.

This shampoo cleanses my hair really well and this is super cheap considering that it is only RM24.90 for 200ml! Normal clarifying shampoo normally cost more than that! I will sure buy this again once I finish my bottle of shampoo.

FOOD REVIEW AT MACAU EXPRESS 2

This is the second time I come here again because of some reasons.  I had already write about this restaurant Here.  I am not familiar with JB so this is the only restaurant that my parents would go in Aeon Jusco because of the porridge.

The seafood spaghetti sauce really tastes weird and I couldn’t finish my food.  If not because of the sauce, it would turn out great because prawns is sure crispy and tangy inside my mouth.  The vegetables are cooked just nice and not soggy.  Too bad about the fish fillet soak with the weird sauce tough.  The fish turned out soggy and not to my liking.

About Rm13.90 I think

The fish burger was exceptionally delicious because of the crunchy fried fish fillet in it.  Lettuce is fresh and the bread is heat up with a little margarine.  No bad for a person who likes fish burger.

Mango sago is sure a disappointment.  They use the mango cordial and it taste nothing like fresh mango. The sago is okay but the few cubes of the mango doesn’t help with the mango cordial taste.  I won’t order this again.

FOOD REVIEW ON KYUNG JOO KOREAN RESTAURANT

This is not the first time I came to this Kyung Joo Korean Restaurant but that was before I started blogging.  I brought some of my friends here before and they immediately fell in love with Korean food.  This is the third time I brought few friends to this restaurant again.  This restaurant never fail to impress my friends.  It is perhaps of the Korean fever?

This is a non-halal Korean food restaurant in Midvalley.  They are most famous for the barbecue but because we wanted somthing filling that we had decided to just order this whole set of kimchi hot pot, the rice, a plate of beef and also the side dishes.  You can actually refill the side dishes but too bad that all of us are too full to be able to asked for refill at the end of the dinner.

The workers are mostly non Malaysian but they can understand and speak English. =) Just speak clearly.  They are very polite and bow to us the moment we entered the restaurant.

 It is a little salty but nice.  The meat is soft and tasty.

 The six side dishes are delicious on its own and one can for refill but it would be little troublesome since we have to either to go to the counter or shout waiter which I find rude for me.  The place is a little crowded since it is quite small and everyone can see what the other tables are eating.  Some even asked us what is the name of the hot pot we are having since we probably look like we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Bibimbap

 The rice is the famous Bibimbap is korean type of "mixed rice". Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul(sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce , or doenjang. A raw or fried egg and sliced beef are common additions.  We are supposed to mix it all together and eat it.  I only ate a bit because I don't really like cucumber especially fresh one.

The kimchi hot pot contains seafood (two prawns, two la la, squid, some crystal looking vermicelli and lots of kimchi vegetables).  The kimchi is the common type which is the cabbage kimchi.  I like the kimchi soup very much but we couldn't finish the soup because we were so full.  Everyone enjoyed the hot pot very much although we wanted to order the barbecue plate if we could.  I am really sorry for the missing ingredients in the hot plate.  We finish eating it already and then only I realised I have not taken any photo of it. XP  So sorry.

So, between the barbecue pork and kimchi we decided on the kimchi hot pot since it is a must to try kimchi when one is in a Korean restaurant.  It is the same when one goes to Korea.  Kimchi is a must buy souvenir since it is what the country is most famous for other than their skincare products =).

The exterior of the restaurant look expensive and being at KLCC on a public holiday doesn’t help with the crowd.  Everywhere was crowded and it is one reason I do not fancy going to KLCC.  I had to wait for 20 minutes after making reservation and had to wait for another 10minutes before we got seated.

The restaurant is clean with simple modern furnishing.  It is quite and serene inside.  This made me felt like I was transcended to another place.  It is just that I preferred a more reserved place which is next to the table were seated.  It was empty for more than 30minutes I was there.

The service is fast the moment we were seated.  The menu is very details because even children can understand the food because there are pictures next to the name of the dish.  I ordered Tai Nabeyaki Udon because I prefer something soupy.  I was expecting that the udon to be smaller than the photos but I was shocked when the waiter place a portable butane gas stove on my table and a huge bowl on it.  It was a surprise that the udon was not small like the katsu don (rice) but then I was wondering if I could finish eating it.  I was stuffed by the time I finish eating the Tai Nabeyaki.  It contains fish, vegetables, mushroom and tofu.

 So, share with another person if you do not normally large portion.  The portion is twice the noodles one normally eat at mamak.  I think it is worth the price for such a delicious udon and on top of that at KLCC.  The udon is just nice and not chewy at all.  The tofu is really soft.  Nothing that I do not like about the udon.  Overall, good experience at it other than high price tag.

I am not sure how katsu don taste like since I am too embarrassed to ask for a scoop.  However, I am sure it is not bad but again high price tag.

I do like this serum becausel it doesn't contain ingredients that cause sensitivity and harmful to our skin =)  .  There is some sort of fruity smell that disappear after 10minutes.  I prefer using serum to moisturise my skin since serum is generally lighter than lotion, cream or emulsion.  They get absorb into the skin faster and doesn't leave a greasy feeling after that.  It doesn't clog the pores too since it the ingredients are mostly plant based and beneficial for the skin. Tocopheryl Acetate is actually Vitamin E that can moisturise your skin and heal it at the same time =).  That is why it is good for anti-aging too.  I sure do feel the difference with this moisturising serum in long run =)

My skin is sure very hydrated when using this minus those greasy feeling after that.  Oh, it is really useful to use a moisturising serum if you are using a lot of products for acne since acne products are generally drying.  The skin can heal faster when it is moist. You certainly don't need to pile your skin with too many moisturising products. I generally use RM0.10cent for my whole face since I don't need too much for my type of skin.

Overall, moisturising serum is worth investing in if you do not like using heavy moisturiser in a country like Malaysia where everyday is either rain or scorching hot.  The serum makes my skin silky soft and smooth to the touch. =).

FOOD REVIEW ON NYONYA COLORS MIDVALLEY

One need to line up and know the number of the table so it is better to get a seat first before lining up to make the order. They will send the order to the table later. The nasi lemak is wrapped with the banana leaves and it will be heat up for the customer unless you requested that you want to eat it cold. It is quite small but it is really tasty considering that a common food such as nasi lemak is also well-made. The rice smell of fresh coconut milk and the sambal is just nice. It is not too spicy or salty. The rice comes with half hard-boiled egg, anchovies and groundnuts. RM2.50

ABC

ABC is cooling especially on hot weather such as Malaysia.  There are generous of amount of cendol, jelly and also groundnut.  The cendol jelly is not fragrant but it soft.  The ice cream is really soft and melt quickly. Overall, this is average.

Pulut Panggang was not bad. The filling is not much but it is okay. The ‘pulut’ is a little hard but okay. Not that delicious but okay.

On the other hand, the mini green ku is actually tasteless. If not for the filling, it wouldn’t be edible. It is soft and quite bouncy. Just that I don’t find it particularly delicious.

The talam is sticky, tasteless and hard. I don’t enjoy this kueh the most. The green comes from colouring and not from real pandan leaves.

Mee Jawa

Mee jawa gravy is thick and a little salty but it goes well with the plain ingredients. The yellow mee is cooked perfectly that it is not too soft or hard and it goes so well with the jawa gravy. The portion is of medium size and I think that the prawn cracker that comes with is okay. Too bad that there is no prawn on the crackers or else it will be better.

I like the packaging very much.  It is looking so much like cosmeceutical products.  The black glass bottle is to protect the active ingredients from getting destroy from the sunlight! There is the dropper to control the amount of essence use and for hygienic purposes.

Mandelic acid is one type of the chemical light peel for skin =)  .  It is just like those salicylic peel, enzyme peel and glycolic peel on skin.  So, it is really mild on skin but one can still obvious effect on the skin.

Since it is in form of essence, it work and it wouldn't be too strong until our skin couldn't take it.  The essence smells flowery and does not smell anything acidic at all.  The smell disappear once the essence get absorb into the skin.  I love the smell very much.  Absorbtion rate is really fast

DO's and DON'T
1.  The products is actually very effective on its own so DO NOT use any AHA (alpha hydroxy) , BHA (salicylic)or retinol products when you are using Shills Acid skin renew essence.
2.  Please follow the instruction properly.  Use a hydrating serum or hydrating moisturiser.  NO pore minimizing, oil control moisturiser at NIGHT with this Shills mandelic acid!  Mist is NOT ENOUGH.
3.  NO SCRUB on you face.
4.  USE the Shills mandelic acid only at night.  ONE or TWO drops for an area. (cheeks, forehead, nose+chin).  DON'T USE TOO MUCH.
5.  During day, make sure you wear sunscreen or block and best to use some hydrating products if your skin feels dry.

This is an essence but it is in form of oil.  The oil is colourless and will just soak into the skin like water.  That is why it is called essence.  Seriously, I don't even need to massage the essence or anything.  It just disappear into thin air immediately leaving no trace at all.  Seriously, no even a hint of oil on the skin!  So, don't let the essence on your palm for more than 2seconds or else you would need to use more.  I use about one drop for one area so 3-5 drop is enough for the whole face.  I think one bottle could last me 3 months.

When I am using this Shill Mandelic Acid Skin Renew Essence, I don't even have bumps on my face!  It prevent the skin from having those bumps for even appearing which is super amazingly considering that it is just a drugstore product!

The results?  My skin is super super smooth after few days of usage.  On the first day, my acne is already disappearing and healing.  The skin texture is also turning to feel smooth.  This is one of the product that I will put in my list for acne prone skin that is a SURE MUST TRY product.  Just remember to really follow the instruction and the "Do and Don't"  .

SKINCARE TIPS: HABITS THAT CAUSE BAD SKIN

Of course, sometimes we do not realize what do to our skin and later on gets shocked by the amount of pimples or acne on our skin later. Then, we have to go crying to dermatologist or google up every day on how to cure acne. I had been through that phase before except the part of going to see dermatologist.

1. Keep trying and changing skincare products
This is a habit that really cause havoc on your skin. I didn’t realize that I was committing this mistake until some time ago.

I was having full blown acne and yet I keep changing skincare products within a short amount of time like 2 weeks. Used a new sets of skincare products, then change to another set after two weeks. Seriously, this can just destroy your skin since there are too much chemicals reaction going on your skin and your skin balance is thrown out of the window.

Sign of your skin is out of tune will be red skin, more acne or pimples popping out on your skin. Don’t try to use whole set of newly bought dermatologist claimed products to calm down your skin now. It won’t work.

You would have calm down your skin by either going to see the dermatologist, skin clinic or use real products such as seaweed, kelp, egg white or aloe vera. Do not try any skincare products at that moment except very gentle skin cleanser (no whitening, brightening, acne or deep clean cleanser).

I heard that one can use seaweed powder or seaweed to calm the skin. However, I couldn’t find it in Malaysia unless you ask your friend to get it from Sabah. The closest I can get for seaweed is the La Belle mud powder mask.

2. Trying skincare products that are not suitable to your skin type

This is another common mistake. We normally wanted the best for our skin but then we are easily blinded by so many skincare products, reviews and we usually wanted if possible fast result.  Thus it is easy to make the wrong choice.

Acne prone skin shouldn’t use skincare products meant for dry sensitive skin because it can clogged the pores and more pimples popping up.

That is why some would go and see a good dermatologist to know the products suitable for their skin type. So, understand your skin type and your skin condition.



3. Not knowing ingredients that can cause you reaction/ sensitivity

This is a no brainer. As we grow older, the skin reacted to different type of simulation. No everyone has the same reaction to the ingredients in the skincare products. So, only try one products at one time to know if you are allergic to it.

Next, avoid that ingredients that next time.



4. Too enthusiastic or too lazy to take care of your skin

This is of course a no brainer. No one would have a beautiful skin like a baby after 20 years old without taking care of it. Don’ trust your friend if she tells you that she only use that one cleanser and she have super smooth skin. They might be going to see the skin doctor or use special active products or tons of products behind your back. After all, most women in Malaysia do not like people to know that they are going through so much effort and money to have fabulous skin. They might even tell you they wake up looking that great. How I wish that is true.

On the other hand, if you are too enthusiastic on using too many products on your skin can cause disruption to your skin. Don’t over exfoliate your skin with scrubs, deep clean mask or cleanser. Nothing good comes out from being overboard so be moderate but don’t be lazy! If your skin is already fabulous, don't try to suddenly add some ingredients that said to fabulous into your skincare regime.  You might break out from it.


5. Not monitoring your food intake

You should know they type of food that can cause you allergy and food that can cause you acne. Of course you could eat them sometime but not everday no matter how much you like to eat them. I wrote about food that cause acne some time ago.


6. Not sleeping on time

I don’t know if this is true since I find that people who do not sleep on time tend to have bad skin. However, it is one of the factor that cause the skin to be bad and some dermatologist said sleep deprivation has nothing to do with acne. Well, I don’t know if that is true now but I am sure my skin look so much better when I have a good night sleep.

So, it is up to you to not believe it but it sure can cause trigger the skin to age faster.

REVIEW ON THAI RESTAURANT IN MERSING

This is a new shop. Previously there was another name to it. I find that this shop is in Chinese and those tourist that comes to Tioman and they wanted to order beer but unfortunately none could speak or understand English.

Even the menu is in Chinese and I have to order in Chinese or else I don’t get to eat. One has to be able to speak Mandarin or understand Chinese to make order in this shop. So, I find all the western tourists looks for the other Chinese shop nearby for beers.

I ordered a few dishes from this shop. The seating in this shop is comfortable. Service is quite fast too.

Three starlight taufu dish was also only okay. The dry tofu was too dried up as it was cooked for too long. It shouldn’t be cut into too pieces as it had made the tofu hard. The sauce was not bad as it was salty enough and does go well with the rice. Too bad the sauce was too watery as too much water was added into it.

 We ordered three dishes . The first sweet sour pork is okay. The pork is fried too crispiness but too bad the sauce soften the meat and the crispiness was lost. The sauces was not salty enough as it was bland. The vegetables accompanied it was cut into too big pieces.

Wong tai vegetables

Wong tai vegetables doesn't contain too much of chilies seed and it was not too spicy at all. The vegetables was cooked quite well. It was not too soft or too hard that the crunchiness was lost. I think it was the best vegetables among the three dishes served. I do like this dishes as it goes so well with the rice. Sauce was not too salty or too spicy.

REVIEW ON LA BELLE GOLD ESSENCE AND LA BELLE HYDRA ESSENCE

Hi, I hope everyone is having a good day =) .  So, here am I back with another review.

I wrote about the amazing La Belle Acnex ampoules and mask here so check it out if you haven't.

So, here I am to introduce you to few more types of essence.

Essence is not a toner since it contains active ingredients with specific reason for skin.  If you are unsure, Here is a post I wrote.

LA Belle Hydra Essence- Hydra Essence contains high concentration of H20 &HA as well as blended with natural herbal extract is perfect combination to hydrate and & rejuvenate skin. It locks moisture and restore elasticity of the skin, hence minimize wrinkle and give the skin a youthful appearance.



Overall, Hydra essence makes my skin more hydrated, moist and no feeling of tightness.  The fine lines on my forehead are not obvious when I frown.  The makeup adhere to skin which is more hydrated too.  My skin is more elastic.  Since I don't have wrinkles yet I am not sure how it will perform on my skin.

So, here is the Gold essence.  There is really gold inside the essence and it makes me feel like a princess using luxurious skincare on me =) .  The essence is just a little thicker than ampoule but it is also watery in texture.  Penetration is very easy and there is no oily residue left on the skin so be sure it is very comfortable in using them.  I love it because I don't like anything that is thick and oily.


 For better results, use it together with ampoules.  According to Cheryl from http://sweetampoules.blogspot.com, mix Eye Luxe ampoule with Gold  Essence and you will see the results within few days of usage.  Well, it is true and it works amazing to reduce the eye bag and dark circles.  My skin is much softer on the days when I am using the gold essence.

Voila, can you notice the results?  Could you that my face and eyes area was much brighter. I was already out of the eye lux ampoule so I used the La Belle gold essence on its own.  I used it on my eyes since my eyes need this the most, more than other parts of my face.  My eyes actually look worse because I went camping.

SKINCARE TIPS: KOREAN SKINCARE TIPS 2

Hi everyone, I shared few Korean skincare tips and I am back for second post. Everyone wants a good skin =) . So this is what I had gathered after watching their famous beauty show up to now.

1. Using soda water to clean skin
This is quite expensive if you plan to use carbonated water every day. One can of soda water cost about RM1.60.  It is such a rave in Korea now.  There is even carbonated products in the market already.  I saw one bottle of Spritzer carbonated bottle is selling for RM3.90 in Malaysia.  It is said to deep clean the skin from dust.

2. Using spinach water to clean skin
Seriously people like me would never do this because I will usually end up eating the spinach than using the water on my skin. It is said to deep clean the skin.

3.Using sea kelp/algae to clean skin
This is know for cleaning and calming the skin. Just blend the kelp with water. Put a paper mask on the face and put the kelp on the face.  It is very hard to find algae in Peninsular but it is common in Sabah.  So, next time do buy some when you are there.
Again, I am too lazy to do it.

4.Using yogurt to clean the skin
Yogurt is good for skin but again it will just go into my stomach. OMG, so many things go into my stomach and I sound like a serious glutton.  Yogurt is good for acne prone skin because it has lactic acid. However, sorry I love food so much that it is better to go into my stomach.

5. Using watermelon to cool the skin
I know this from the Korean beauty show Get it Beauty. They use watermelon as mask. Ermm, again I rather eat this.  Into my stomach it goes. Too lazy to DIY.
Watermelon is known to cool down the body by cooling the skin by 3 degree which is the highest among other fruits =) .

6. Use CC cushion for more moisture
According to the test the beauty show did, CC cushion contains more moisture than BB cushion so it is recommended to use CC cushion for the moisture benefit.
I tried CC cream and BB cream and I found that CC cream does contain more moisture than BB cream.


7. Using Epsom salt with cleanser

I tried using Epsom salt with cleanser and it does help to clean the skin as well to calm the skin down. It doesn’t get rid of acne totally but it is antibacterial. I think some people use it as mask too.


8. Drink 2litre of plain water everyday
This is a no brainer for a beautiful skincare. There is even an article by Daily Mail of the miracle of drinking 3litres of water everyday and the skin look younger 10 years! Just make sure that your food plus your water intake reach about 2 litre. Yes, of course it works. =) So drink up. No pun intended.
