Sparkling water or carbonated water has become famous and after trying the Spritzer sparkling water , I happened to come across another sparkling water in the Malaysia market.   This Monte Verde sparkling water came from Italy and the bottle is the made from glass hence the price tag.

I would say that the taste of this sparkling water is better than the Spritzer sparkling water I have tried.  It tastes like mineral water with bubbles inside the mouth if you hold the water inside for a while.  Since it is made from glass, I think the goodness of the water is still maintained.  The water does bubble up upon contact with skin but the bubbles are too small to really be noticed.

Does it really work?  Again I am not sure but it is sure better to use sparkling water to just spray it on the face as mist than using the tap water.  It is expensive to use the whole bottle of the water every day for the sake of my face as I can’t afford it and besides I am too lazy.  So, not sure if I would buy it again.  I think some Korean products has higher and more effective amount of carbonated sparkling water in them than the sparkling water available in the market.

The cream comes in peachy in colour and has some capsules that will break.  It has peppermint smell that is very soothing and will remind you of toothpaste.  It is a self heating cream to help burn the fats and firm up the skin.  The cream get absorb into the skin fast so it is not sticky at all.  I feel a little warm but nothing unbearable.  Don't apply too much if you could not stand the heat first time.  The warm feeling lasted about 20minutes and it gradually fade off.

It doesn't leave a stain on the clothes after letting it dry down. So, no worries of it staining your clothes.  I have been trying it for a month and applying it daily.  My muscles is firmer and toner up but of course don't expect anything miracle if you don't exercise.  I think it work best with exercises.  If you want sick packs or get rid of the muffin top, then try using this with exercises.  Sorry, am too lazy to actually exercises so well this is quite useful.

If you have known me for a long time, you will know that I am constantly trying or looking for remedies for acne without going to see the dermatologist. Although my acne is currently under control, sometimes I still have one or two in a month or when I am under stress.

Of course I am envious of those who don’t need any hard work to maintain a good skin or when they tell you that they are only using a cleanser or just plain water on their face. Besides, some parents like mine would just tell me that drinking water and eat enough food is enough to have a flawless skin. Right!!!???????

If only all that is the source of problem, then those acne problems would have already disappeared when I was using nothing on my face but nothing happen to those acne too. It was staring straight at my face and I looked bad.

Anyway, this is one of the cheaper remedies that helps with healing the acne. Zinc oxide and calamine are ingredients that are both good to help with the acne condition. Acne sufferers are known to have low amount of zinc so putting zinc on the skin helps your skin.

There are many skincare products out there with these two ingredients in them but I would say that those products are more expensive than this.

I would suggest one to find liquid which is a lot pinkish than this. The darker colour of pink, the better because it means higher amount of calamine. I don’t have much choice here so I could only experiment with two varieties.

Many people rave about the magic of using zinc oxide and calamine in their skin care routine. I personally tried it and yes it does help to ease the skin problem. My acne size does shrink overnight and my face redness was reduced.  It doesn’t work with cystic or those underground tough acne though.

It is cooling to skin and work on sunburn skin which is good. It doesn’t clog the skin because there is bentonite(clay) in it. The problem of using calamine and zinc oxide is you could only use it at night when you don’t have to meet people. Your skin will be opaque white when you are using it and a splash of water is not going to remove it if you are planning to go out or someone turn up on your doorstep out of sudden.

So, overall it is one emergency kit that you should have. It works for skin allergy, for chicken pocks and also eases the redness of the skin because of acne. I heard that it works wonderfully to help shrink the acne overnight to many.

The box comes in with 10 masks. There is extra essence inside the mask. This Mexico cactus mask is hydrating and moisturizing to my skin. I don’t like that the sheet mask is too thin to the point that it drip down my face onto my clothes. It is kind of troublesome when the mask drip.



There is no strong smell for this mask so I find it okay. Overall, the mask is just okay and it is not that suitable for my skin type. If you do not have any problem with your skin and just want some moisturisation because of dryness, then this mask is for you. I don’t think this mask suits oily skin and acne prone skin like me.

REVIEW ON NEUTROGENA DEEP HYDRATING MASK

I have been a fan of Neutrogena mask because of their hydrating purposes.  The first time I use it was because my skin was peeling because of skin dryness and so I bought this without thinking much.  Turns out it hydrates my skin and the peeling disappeared.  Fast forward 10 years and I got this from Neutrogena Malaysia.

Direction: Use after cleansing. Open pack, take out the mask and unfold. Press lightly with fingertips to set in place over face. Relax for 15 minutes and remove mask. Massage any remaining fluid into skin. Discard mask after use.

Yes, please laugh as I know I looked very silly here.

The mask sheet is not too thin and the shape is just nice for my face.  It is not too huge until I have to cut it.  The essence doesn’t drip too and applying it to my face is just a cooling treat. It does temporary brighten my face.  It doesn’t have any fragrance and it is alcohol free so that are good points.  Sorry forget to take the after face.  I was too tired and forget about it after removing it. XD  

It a good weekly treat to hydrate the skin =).

Direction of use:

1. After cleansing, apply toner over the face following skin texture.

2. Take the upper mask out and place the sheet on the apple zon area.

3. Take the lower mask out and place the sheet on the chin area.

5. Leave it for 20 mins and remove the mask.

6. Pat lightly until the remaining essense is fully absorbed.

Hydrogel masks are different than sheet masks as they are better for absorption of the ingredients into the skin.  It is something like the second generation of those piece of mask.  Sheet mask > hydrogel > bio cellulose. So they are generally more expensive than sheet mask but they produce better effect too =). It doesn't dry up and harden up too even after 30minutes.

There are two parts of the mask.  The upper one for pore care which is basically sheet mask and the lower part is made from hydrogel which is for shaping the face.
One need to remove the hydrogel from the paper and then place the V band carefully on the jaw. The mask 'stick' to the face better than paper sheet mask.

REVIEW ON CHICA Y CHICO TOTA-S 3.0

Chica Y Chico means Girl & Boy in Spanish. It is also a sub-brand of Skin&Lab. They are very famous for the Beta-Salic 2.0 (Miracle Cream) which are really famous and has many reviews on it too. Another famous products from this brand would be the Molang Cream.

So, here I have chosen Chica Y Chico Tota-S 3.0 cream since I am really curious on what this cream will do. Besides, I haven't find any reviews in English on yet. So, I hope my review will be helpful.

Let me just update my skin type before I move on to the product.  I have combination(T-zone oily&normal at other areas), acne prone (I tend to break out at jaw, chin&cheeks area), sensitive even to weather so I can't use physical type of scrubs. Although now, I do not have severe acne but who likes it even when there is just one painful bump on the face staring right at you?

CHICA Y CHICO TOTA-S 3.0

 Apply Chica Y Chico Tota- S 3.0 just like moisturiser after cleaning and toner.  I used it day and night. Apply it under my makeup to avoid pimples popping up.

 The packaging. It comes in form of a 30ml tube.  I think it is affordable since product for acne/trouble skin doesn't come cheap. Even visit to the dermatologist will cost more.

 It is for all type of skin including extra sensitive skin.  It doesn't cause me redness upon application so I guess it is suitable for any skin.  Unlike benzoyl peroxide, this does not sting at all.  Instead it is really cooling.

 There is the seal to avoid being open.  It comes in form of a plastic tube.

Chica Y Chico Tota- 3.O comes in form or a transparent gel.  The gel disappeared upon application.  There is also a very nice luxurious ginseng scent which disappeared upon application so no worries if you dislike herbal smell.

Here is the results of using it for about 5 days.

Yes, look too good to be true right?  I thought so until I see the photos myself. No photoshop here too.


I didn't use any other pimples cream when I am using this cream except cleanser.  The product is good if you are the type who prefer natural products as this is effective in banishing those pesky pimples or trouble skin.  Unlike those acne products, this would not cause more breakouts so no worries!  My redness was gone after one week of usage and will keep using it because this natural acne cream works =) .  My skin became so much smoother that I just want to feel my skin all the time. Chiya Y Chico Tota-3.0 works to heal those pimples which I popped too and this leave no scars.

I would suggest anyone that like Korean and also natural products to try this.  I have tried some Korean brands for acne and this works for even underground acne.  The cream can last about 3 months and sure worth to try.

However, if you are used to strong acne products, then you might just find this too mild and does nothing.  This cream is more for someone who likes gentle, non drying products or have sensitive skin that is unable to tolerate all the other acne treatments.

Bio Cellulose Mask
-Natural fermented Coconut Fiber.
-Used after cosmetics procedures in aesthetic clinic to cool down the skin.
-The moist absorption is 10 times better than normal paper sheet mask.
- The 3-Dimensional mesh density,no sticky feeling and no artificial adhesive added
-it ‘sticks’ to the face so that it won’t budge so it doesn’t constraint movement. So have to make sure of the face structure or else it won’t budge once it touch the skin.

Do check the ingredients in the masks as some certain things can cause sensitivity and redness. Ingredients such as synthetic fragrance, alcohol, silicone- dimethicone and even lemon or aloe vera can cause redness and breakouts.  Make sure to use luxewarm water to clean the skin after using mask such as mud, clay, cream and peeling mask to get rid of debris.

Also follow the instructions as many of the mask should not be left on the skin more than the instructed time or it will cause more harm than good.

I will try to update this from time to time.
