Hydrocolloid patches for pimples are good alternative than using our dirty hands to pop our skin that can potentially leave scars. Today, I am reviewing Acne Patch Day & Night (9+9’s) from Miacare.

There are 9 patches for night and 9 patches for day.  Both patches are seal individually so to avoid contamination of the products.  I think it is really for hygiene reason.  There is also graphic photos to show the steps on how to use which is really useful for first time user.

The day patches are thinner and not obvious on the skin unless you are standing very near me.

The night pacthes are stronger in terms of absorption of pus but of course it look more obvious on the skin.

Change it once the patches turn white or after 12 hours. If you do not have pimples, then it just stay looking like that without turning white.

There is no smell and once it is on the face, you can't see it.  I don't have pimples with visible pus but as you can see here, the area is red and hard, so I applied the Day patch on that area. The patches did a wonderful job of reducing the redness and suck up the pus from the under the skin!

KOREAN SKINCARE TIPS 3

Beauties,

I am really excited to share with you on some skincare tips I got from watching some of the Korean beauty shows.  Some of it are really useful and I have personally tried it myself.  For the past months, I have been under the weather and thus fewer posts XP. (lack of motivation)

Along that, I was actually thinking if anyone cares at all.  I think I wouldn't still be writing if not for readers who say they love, care and find my blog helpful.  Thank you again for patronising my blog and also leave comments.

So, while I feel motivated to write, I decided to share this skincare tips.  I already wrote about skincare tip and skincare tips2 so do check it out.


I am horrible in doing makeup and that is the reason I care more about using skincare products and the techniques.  I prefer to go out bare face than do the 'no makeup look'.



1.  The whitening pack mask-using powered red beans+ water and leave it on the face for 30 minutes.

2.  The cleansing- add aloe vera to the foam cleanser for a better clean and calm the acne/trouble skin.

3. Apple mask-apply the grated apple on the skin for 2minutes to peel the skin.  sensitive skin can wash of after 1min

4. Vitamin C- use vitamin C serum after the peeling. some use the vitamin C from body shop.  I love this Vitamin C serum from Korea.use vitamin at night or you will risk getting pigmentation and dark spots.

5.  Massage your face and neck for better absorption of skincare.

6.  Beer for soaking your feet to remove dead skin

7.  You can actually mix two types of cleanser for better cleansing.  Saw the girl actually mix a pore cleanser with a hydrating cleanser.

8.  Vitamin E doesn't really help with the scars.  Some people can get irritated by it.

SEAWEED NOODLES RECIPE

Dear readers,


Sorry that I didn’t have any food review or recipe this month because I was busy, sick and too stress up to be able to cook. Someone told me that she likes to read my food post and so here is one.

A simple recipe where anyone can cook.


I do this when I am busy and just want something with soup and after all seaweed is good for the body. Just don’t eat too much of it. > < Everything in moderation.


This is simply Chinese way of cooking so I am not sure about other Asian cooking. Nevertheless, it is easy =) .

SEAWEED NOODLES RECIPE

SEAWEED NOODLES RECIPE

Ingredients:

15g anchovies

600ml water

1 stalk of celery (up to your liking)

Slices of carrot

1g of seaweed

Fishballs

I packet of noodles(You can use different type of noodles )



1. Boil the water along with the anchovies and carrot for about 15minutes.

2. Then put in all the vegetables and boil in for another 5minutes.

3. Put in the noodles and boil until it is soft.



Try this simple recipe yourself =). It is not that difficult.

The shampoo bottle has a bigger cylindrical look but it contain the same amount of shampoo.Becareful when you pour the content because it is filled up to the cap and the solution is a watery.

Here is the ingredients list.  Phyto doesn't have any artificial colouring or anything that anything ingredients that can potentially harm the scalp or cause sensitivity.  Phytopanama has a ph of 6 -7 which is suitable to balance the ph on oily scalp.

Next good reason is because there is no thickener to thicken the texture of the shampoo which might irritate and clogged the scalp of people who has oily scalp.  So, next time, do check if the texture of the shampoo.

The shampoo foam up very little almost none at all but it does not mean that it is not cleaning the hair well.  In fact, the shampoo really cleanses my hair very well without any irritation.  My scalp is not too dry but very well balanced and I love it!  Even without any conditioner, my hair feels really soft and light.  It doesn't dry my hair at all even if I use it everyday.  How to fall in love with a shampoo that is so gentle, cleanses so well, smell so herbal and fabulous?

The shampoo itself is so good on its own that it save my pocket for I don't need to use conditioner or all those sort of hair mask at all.  Phyto brands also mentioned that there is no need for conditioner or other hair products for oily scalp as it can worsen the hair condition.  How not to like a brand that provide such honest and helpful tips?

I also loses lesser hair with every wash after I started using this Phytopanama daily balancing shampoo compare to before. Love this shampoo very much!

Next time if you have problem with your hair, do check out Phyto brands. Phyto sure has many really good amazing natural products and many usually return after their first try of their products.  I am sold too after trying their products. =)

REVIEW ON TIMELESS TRUTH INSTANTANEOUS BRIGHTENING COOLING MASK

Hi Beauties,

This review is overdued.I just realise that it is sitting inside my draft for so long...hahahaha.

I got this mask recently from my haul here.  It is quite a famous mask from Taiwan.  Since, the weather is so hot, I decided to just try this cooling mask because I just can't stand the heat.  It is either so hot that even the ground cracked and the trees wilt or worried that it might flood anytime because it rains non stop.  So, to feel as if I am putting my face inside the freezer I decided to get this mask.

I do love the metallic blue packet.  The mask sheet is quite thick and it is durable.  It has cooling effect on the skin after I applied on the skin for about 2 minutes.  I can feel the cooling effect through the time the mask was on my face.  It does brighten up and hydrate my skin for few hours. My pores temporary look smaller too.

I think it is not bad for the price.  It is good to use to reduce the size of the pores and for the cooling feeling that the mask provides.  A sure treat for the face for a weather or in summer.

NEW HEADER&BLOG DESIGN

Dearest readers,

Thanks for staying with me.  I was sick for the past few weeks and have not recovered yet.   Today, just wanted to share about this new header and template.

Do you like my new template and header?  I know that for the past few years I have been using some free header and template.  I lost the photoshop software along with the laptop.  Besides, I am not good in editing my photos so that is one of the reason that many has to bear with my ugly header for quite some time until someone told me that many bloggers around the world are using the same header.  Thus, I changed it to a another header temporary until I come up with this one.

Thanks to readers who leave lovely comments in my blog and brands that has been very kind to me too.

I had messed up a lot of my previous free template so I have decided to discard it.  It was quite hard working with a free template and it took me a month to fix that up.

Currently, I am just using one of the simple blogger template. I edited, changes and add in some build in. It is easier to work with the template that blogger offer than with some free templates that only allows you to edit in HTML codes which just look like bunches of foreign language to me. > <

Do let me know if my blog is working fine or if you would like me to change the font or size for easier reading. I am not sure how it looks for your.

I am not a programmer and many of the changes are made with help from googling.  Some tips offer in some site doesn't work.  I added the drop down box but still figuring out how to actually link it without using the labels. Unlike Wordpress, Blogger doesn't have many function to offer.

If anyone wanted to edit their template, consider the concept, header, colours and words.  I think that itself has taken me quite a lot of time to just work on that.  Make sure you do put lots of thoughts into your header.

KOREAN BEAUTY 2015 TREND

I know that I am late in posting this but better late than never right?  So I am here is the latest 2015 Korean trends.

Skin type


It is the glowing skin, poreless and fair skin here. The younger the skin looks, the better. Bronzer or darker kind of shadow is just to give the V shape to the face. I don’t think Asians like tan skin. It is always fair here.


Also the makeup is usually the “no makeup look”. So, most of the makeup usually look really natural. Besides, most prefer to invest their time into skincare than buying the latest makeup products.




DIY skincare products



I think there are already emerging brands that offer the opportunities to DIY their own skincare. However, I am not sure about the choice because from what I see, choice is still limited to few ingredients and skin type. Most of the ingredients are using essential oil which not everyone are suited to. However, some will opt to DIY their own because it doesn’t contain any preservatives or more ‘natural’.


The only thing I don’t suggest one to DIY their own will probably be sunscreen and serum. Those need to be made by professional in a secure laboratory to ensure their potency.

Currently there are also bloggers that shows how to recycle makeup products into something else. I commonly saw the eye shadows and lipstick recycle into blusher, cc blusher cushion and also shadow sticks. I think the common one is to recycle your eyeshadow into nail polish.


I like the ability to make your own bb/cc cushion. You can actually mix up endless of products but since it is currently new and we have lacked of chemistry knowledge, then we are not sure of what will happen to the product on our skin in long run. One thing for sure, it might be cheaper than buying the readymade bb/cc cushion since we can just use our foundation or bb creams and turn them into cc cushion.


Again DIY products usually don’t last long as those made in the sterile environment of the laboratories. Still you can make use of those products that you do not use into something that you can use right?

I wouldn’t say that Korean brands has all their skincare in ‘organic’ form but most of the brands try to make their skincare products safe from harmful ingredients. So, do read the ingredients up if you are particular about free from paraben, synthetic ingredients or dye.  Fermented products are still in trend and more natural products will be be included in their skincare products.

Animal masks-there are many brands now that came up with fun looking animal mask and also there is some geisha looking mask. It started in Japan I think.

Horse oil

Horse oil-this ingredients came out for it moisturizing properties and even many celebrities were using it. It is mainly for dry skin type so I avoid this.

Honey mask

Honey-honey trend just make its come back in form of the I’m from honey mask which quickly becomes loved by Korean. It is a mask for every type of skin.

Donkey milk toner

Donkey milk-this one came out as one of the anti ageing skincare products in sleeping pack. Not sure how it will work



Gold mask- this is a new trend of applying the gold mask on the face which turns rubbery after that. There are few brands that currently make this mask but I am not sure on how famous it is compared to the honey mask.  Many said that their face look so glowing after using gold mask.

Lip tint pack

Berrisom Lip tint pack-this is a pack where it is like a tattoo for the whole day.


24hours makeup-2015 is about producing cosmetics that can last the whole day without clogging or disappearing after few hours. These products are tattoo which doesn't disappeared after just one application.  There is the lip tint, eyeliner and eyebrow.



Cushion makeup-here come the cushion blusher and cushion eyeliner after the cushion swept the world beauty cosmetics.

Cooling products- Skinfood pore fit cushion bottle is a cooling cushion in form of a bottle that you shakes vigorously. It really cool down the skin for a smaller looking pore. I saw many people were already asking for it here but the products haven't reach my country yet. The coverage is light to medium.

Patches- you name it, the Korean have it for whatever patches that you need. Be it for butterfly zone on the face, the apple zone, the legs, arms, waist,lips, eyes or even for the neck. These patches are for variety of reasons and because of the convenience.

Avène is a familiar French skincare brand for their thermal spring water which is suitable for sensitive skin. I really like their Eau Thermale Avène Micellar Make-up Remover which is really gentle.

As for the product today, it is their new Cleanance EXPERT emulsion from the Cleanance range.  Avène Cleanance range is suitable for oily, acne prone skin. So, if you have oily acne prone skin and is looking for suitable products, do check this out.

Here are some details about Avène Cleanance EXPERT emulsion.


Its benefits:

I do like the simple clean look of the products.  I think the screw lid is especially helpful to prevent spillage especially during travelling.

AVÈNE CLEANANCE EXPERT EMULSION 

Avène Cleanance EXPERT emulsion is for mild to moderate acne skin type.  This emulsion is an acne treatment for oily skin type.


I think it helps to control the oil production making my face matte through the day. Oil started to appear on my nose by noon but with this emulsion my nose stay matte through the day.

I like the scent of the emulsion.  All the skincare products in the Cleanance range has the same scent which is not overpowering.  The emulsion is also gentle enough not to cause redness or sensitivity on my skin so it is great even for sensitive skin given that the first ingredients are thermal spring water =) .

AVÈNE CLEANANCE EXPERT EMULSION AFTER 2 WEEKS

Application of the emulsion is really smooth. The emulsion is really soft and absorb into the skin fast.  It is really good as makeup base to prevent pore clogging. After using the emulsion for 2 weeks, my skin sure does look clear up and the redness are reduced.  You can actually use the emulsion with other acne products but I did not because I wanted to see how fast the emulsion will show the effect on my skin.
