FOOD REVIEW ON SYED ALI RESTAURANT

This is the mixed rice but beware it is spicy for those who are not use to Malaysian Chillies.

Here is the price for everything

tosai telur

Tosai telur

The food here had deteriorated in taste.  I wonder why.  The tosai telur came with a little of water as you can see from the plate.  I guess probably it is because now that they are too busy since there is  a lot of customer patronising this restaurant that the quality has drop.  If you are seated at the back of the restaurant, then you will get the view of the restaurant and it is nicer than sitting inside the restaurant.

Tioman is currently beautiful with very green water.  There are a lot of tourist visiting too now.  =)  Anyway, becareful with your belonging and things since it has become dangerous.

I wrote about this restaurant some time ago so if you want to know more then check this out Here  .

REVIEW ON BEAUTY CLINIC MEDIHEAL LEMON ADE MASK

BEAUTY CLINIC MEDIHEAL LEMON ADE MASK
BEAUTY CLINIC MEDIHEAL LEMON ADE MASK

Sorry for the blur, I took it long ago before I bought a new camera.
I tried the Cacao ADE mask before and it smell amazing just like this one.  The fit is great and it does brighten up my dull skin.  I like this fit as the mask is stretchable and it is fit my small face.  Most mask are too big for my face. It is quite troublesome for me to cut those wet mask.  Again, it doesn't drip and I think one can see obvious effect within 2-3 usage compare with other type of mask.  Overall, I do like this mask more than others as it doesn't drip and it is really comfortable.

I am not sure about the brightening effect as I do not notice them.  So sorry for there is no photos.  It is moisturising and cooling on the weather like Malaysia.  Can't believe it is 40 degree here.

FOOD REVIEW ON LUCKY STAR SEAFOOD RESTAURANT 好运海鲜饭店

The Chicken feet noodles comes with the chicken feet.  There are two version of it but I wanted to try the one with chicken feet.  The chicken feet does taste good and it is soft and not hard at all.  The seller must have clean the chicken feet well as there weren’t any smell at ll.  The noodles on the other is just right and tasty.  I love the mushroom as it is soft and juicy indeed.  The portion is quite big and not small at all.  The stall only sell on Sunday after 6.30pm.  Weird?

Rm3.50 per bowl

FOOD REVIEW: SOUVENIR FROM TAIWAN

I don't get to travel a lot since but I am thankful whenever I get souvenir from others.  So, this is what people will usually buy when they came back from Taiwan.  This is the pineapple cake.

The packaging is not bad. There is actually a box but I have already tore it open and throw it away before realising what I did.  Ermm, the food monster in me XP. Told you before that I forget everything when I am hungry or if I see food right in front of me.  Do you know how much self control I need by just looking at food???

This is the pineapple cake
This is how the pineapple cake look.  Inside there is some pineapple and it is not a lot but okay.

Overall, this is the famous souvenir from Taiwan and the taste is not bad.  It is similar to our Pineapple tart.  It is just in form of cake.  Is it very soft?  Not really hard or soft.  So, it is just medium.  I don't know about everyone raving about this but I think it is just okay.  Not too bad.

The Japanese banana cake?  That one taste horrible for goodness sake.  I don't even want to review it.

FOOD REVIEW ON AL-ARIP RESTAURANT

Al-Arip Restaurant
No. 44, Jalan Ismail, Mersing Kechil, Mersing Town, 86800

Anyone who comes to Tioman may pass by this restaurant if you are going to the Hotel Sri Malaysia or Giant.  Mersing town is pretty small.  I will write about it if I get enough 'push' to write about Mersing aka the place for tourist to disembark to go to Tioman Island if anyone request for it.  Many would envy me looking at the sea but currently this is the only place that is still with NO water.  I have to eat outside most of the time but let me save the ramble for another day.

DHAL MUTTON CURRY
dhal and mutton curry

Most people would like to seat outside since it is less hot and there is a LCD TV outside. I prefer to seat inside actually since I dislike noise. Taking order was really fast but slow in sending my food. I wonder why did I need to repeat my order few times. This place is just opposite the Giant store which is quite convenient.  They have all sort of drink except liquor because it is a HALAL place.

The roti canai is crispy and not burn. I really like it plus the nice curry actually but again stingy. I have to ask for a refill for the dhal. Overall, not expensive since it is RM0.90 for one piece of roti canai but one is never enough for me.

MALAYSIA MAMAK RICE

Looking at their array of food which is very clean because it is totally covered up, I took a risk and took rice. The eggplants is really tasty-not too soft or hard. I like the level of the spiciness too and I think RM5 for eggplants, egg and also longbeans is really worth it. It is just that there is not much of rice. I wonder if it is because I look too thin to be able to eat a lot.

Overall, I think the food is great and yes I would come again.

Roti canai RM0.90

So, here is my answers to the two questions .  I hope it is creatively or passionately????

1) Why do you need 24 hour no-shine fresh hydration?

I always have this weird problem. When I travels or go for trips, my skin will usually just turn dry to the point of peeling. When it is dry, then all sort of problem will appears. Not only my skin will turn super oily, pimples will start to pop up one by one. Who likes it when their skin just go crazy without warning. I found that my problem is with my moisturiser but then I haven't find a moisturiser than will really works with providing  hydration and doesn't cause me breakout.Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream is lightweight gel cream strengthens skin’s moisture barrier, leaving it velvety-soft and looking virtually shine-free minimizes. It’s fragrance-free and will not leave a residue! Great for my sensitive skin! I really wanted to try if the Kiehl's Ultra facial oil-free gel cream if it is really the moisturiser that will balance up my skin. I wish to try it tooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

2) What do you love about Kiehl’s?
I have a few things that I like about Kiehl.  One is getting samples to try before buying as well as the good customer service.  I mean who likes to be mistreated when we are going into the shop to buy right?  Besides that it would that Kiehl's product really works even for sensitive skin.  I also heard a lot about many wonderful experience with Kiehl's products =P  .  They have so many breakthrough products such as the Ultra Facial Cream, Super Multi-Corrective Cream and the Micro-Blur Skin Perfector that makes one look photo shopped!

How much do I love Kiehl?  I love you a lot actually but my hands is too short to express it.  XP

SKINCARE TIPS: HOW TO CHOOSE SKINCARE PRODUCTS FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN

HOW TO CHOOSE SKINCARE PRODUCTS FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN

It has been sometimes since I write about skincare tips and here I am back with another post on how to choose product for acne prone skin.

I am a skincare junkie and yes I love skincare products more than makeup =). I am not good in makeup, lazy and I think having a good skin is better than having the best concealer in the world.

Whenever I am in Kuala Lumpur, I would sure visit Sephora but now we can also order the products online through Zalora website . \ ^ v ^ /  How amazing is that???  My friends love Sephora eyeliner because they are cheap and it is really nice considering the price.  Oh, let go back to the skincare tips =)  .

1. First of all, know your skin type. It might be dry with acne , oily with acne or combination with acne. Do not assume that everyone has the same skin type.

2. Check your age. Acne products that works for adult is not the same as the acne products for teenagers as the skin built is not the same. Look for brands that cater to certain age.

3. Use a good simple cleanser for your skin. The Koreans follow the double cleaning method which is use oil cleanser first follow by the foam cleanser. Or you could use cleansing water which is also very popular for oily skin.  Treat your skin like a baby.
SEPHORA&ZALORA

4. Then after lotion/toner, applied the essence or moisturizer.

SEPHORA&ZALORA

5. Apply eye cream to reduce the stress around the eyes and prolong your youth.

SEPHORA&ZALORA

6. Do pore cleansing mask and then sheet mask to reduce the flare up. Most Korean do “A sheet mask A day” and it does help but since I don’t have deep pockets, I can’t do that every day. Choose the mask for acne/sensitive/trouble/blemishes and ingredients such as green tea, honey and hydrating ones.

I think that is some simple skincare tips on choosing products for acne prone skin.  If there is anything that you would like to know, feel free to let me know at the comment section.

REVIEW ON HUMAN NATURE NATURAL CLARIFYING SHAMPOO

This is the first time I stumbled upon a brand that offer 100% natural product and is very kind to my wallet *YES*! I would really recommend this brand if you do love natural product and it is surprisingly works very well too =) . Their products are animal cruelty free, 100%natural products and PETE.

HUMAN NATURE NATURAL CLARIFYING SHAMPOO

HUMAN NATURE NATURAL CLARIFYING SHAMPOO
ingredient list
Here is the list of ingredients. It is made from natural products and no harmful ingredients. The fragrance is from natural oil. The shampoo smell nice and it is not chocking on me at all. It does smell a little like lychee or pamelo but I just couldn’t figure it out the exact scent.

HUMAN NATURE NATURAL CLARIFYING SHAMPOO
HUMAN NATURE NATURAL CLARIFYING SHAMPOO liquid -very watery

Before I start telling you how amazing this shampoo is to my hair, I would like to just update my scalp type and hair type. I have very oily scalp and normal hair. So, the problem with my hair is it gets oily fast. For this type of hair, it is best to use clarifying shampoo but not on daily basis as it will disrupt the scalp barrier.

If you're a fan of hair styling products like mousse, gels and serums, you'll love our new clarifying shampoo! It's our foamiest shampoo yet with a clean, fresh fragrance. Use just twice a week instead of your regular shampoo to remove residue and build up from hair products. Make sure you're getting a conditioner to use afterwards. You'll feel an extra deep clean like never before!

Key Natural Ingredients Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis), Betaine, Naturally-derived glucosides, Anisic acid

The bottle is really very simple and white. It is non slippery type of bottle.

The shampoo is colourless and really very watery. However, do not look down upon it. The shampoo sure lathered up very well. I get a lot of foam just from a little amount of shampoo. It cleanses my scalp really well and to my surprise there is no residue left on my hair. Love the pampered feeling of the calming smell of the shampoo. The effect of having clean, oil free scalp lasted for three days which is marvelous because normal shampoo couldn't stop my scalp from being greasy when the sun sets. That is how greasy my scalp is.

This shampoo cleanses my hair really well and this is super cheap considering that it is only RM24.90 for 200ml! Normal clarifying shampoo normally cost more than that! I will sure buy this again once I finish my bottle of shampoo.

Here is the results =)
my hair is really clean after the wash

Head over to Down to Earth website to purchase affordable 100% natural products.

FOOD REVIEW AT MACAU EXPRESS 2

This is the second time I come here again because of some reasons.  I had already write about this restaurant Here.  I am not familiar with JB so this is the only restaurant that my parents would go in Aeon Jusco because of the porridge.

MACAU EXPRESS

The seafood spaghetti sauce really tastes weird and I couldn’t finish my food.  If not because of the sauce, it would turn out great because prawns is sure crispy and tangy inside my mouth.  The vegetables are cooked just nice and not soggy.  Too bad about the fish fillet soak with the weird sauce tough.  The fish turned out soggy and not to my liking.
About Rm13.90 I think

MACAU EXPRESS

MACAU EXPRESS

The fish burger was exceptionally delicious because of the crunchy fried fish fillet in it.  Lettuce is fresh and the bread is heat up with a little margarine.  No bad for a person who likes fish burger.
About RM8 I think

MACAU EXPRESS

Green tea-RM2.50

MACAU EXPRESS

Mango sago is sure a disappointment.  They use the mango cordial and it taste nothing like fresh mango. The sago is okay but the few cubes of the mango doesn’t help with the mango cordial taste.  I won’t order this again.

Rm3.60

I am not sure of the price since they do not give me receipt even after I asked and I had totally forgotten about it since I was busy babysitting my family.

FOOD REVIEW ON KYUNG JOO KOREAN RESTAURANT

This is not the first time I came to this Kyung Joo Korean Restaurant but that was before I started blogging.  I brought some of my friends here before and they immediately fell in love with Korean food.  This is the third time I brought few friends to this restaurant again.  This restaurant never fail to impress my friends.  It is perhaps of the Korean fever?

This is a non-halal Korean food restaurant in Midvalley.  They are most famous for the barbecue but because we wanted somthing filling that we had decided to just order this whole set of kimchi hot pot, the rice, a plate of beef and also the side dishes.  You can actually refill the side dishes but too bad that all of us are too full to be able to asked for refill at the end of the dinner.

The workers are mostly non Malaysian but they can understand and speak English. =) Just speak clearly.  They are very polite and bow to us the moment we entered the restaurant.

beef-i didn't ask what it is called
It is a little salty but nice.  The meat is soft and tasty.

the side dishes
The six side dishes are delicious on its own and one can for refill but it would be little troublesome since we have to either to go to the counter or shout waiter which I find rude for me.  The place is a little crowded since it is quite small and everyone can see what the other tables are eating.  Some even asked us what is the name of the hot pot we are having since we probably look like we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Bibimbap
The rice is the famous Bibimbap is korean type of "mixed rice". Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul(sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce , or doenjang. A raw or fried egg and sliced beef are common additions.  We are supposed to mix it all together and eat it.  I only ate a bit because I don't really like cucumber especially fresh one.

The kimchi hot pot. Sorry finish eating by then XP
The kimchi hot pot contains seafood (two prawns, two la la, squid, some crystal looking vermicelli and lots of kimchi vegetables).  The kimchi is the common type which is the cabbage kimchi.  I like the kimchi soup very much but we couldn't finish the soup because we were so full.  Everyone enjoyed the hot pot very much although we wanted to order the barbecue plate if we could.  I am really sorry for the missing ingredients in the hot plate.  We finish eating it already and then only I realised I have not taken any photo of it. XP  So sorry.

So, between the barbecue pork and kimchi we decided on the kimchi hot pot since it is a must to try kimchi when one is in a Korean restaurant.  It is the same when one goes to Korea.  Kimchi is a must buy souvenir since it is what the country is most famous for other than their skincare products =).

Korean Green Tea RM3.80 (refillable if it is warm green tea since you are given tea bag)
Korean Citron Honey Tea RM6.80
Strawberry Shake RM7.80
Ice Water RM 0.50
Special Set RM98.80

JAPANESE YUZU RESTAURANT KLCC

JAPANESE YUZU RESTAURANT KLCC Tai Nabeyaki Udon

The exterior of the restaurant look expensive and being at KLCC on a public holiday doesn’t help with the crowd.  Everywhere was crowded and it is one reason I do not fancy going to KLCC.  I had to wait for 20 minutes after making reservation and had to wait for another 10minutes before we got seated.
The restaurant is clean with simple modern furnishing.  It is quite and serene inside.  This made me felt like I was transcended to another place.  It is just that I preferred a more reserved place which is next to the table were seated.  It was empty for more than 30minutes I was there.

The service is fast the moment we were seated.  The menu is very details because even children can understand the food because there are pictures next to the name of the dish.  I ordered Tai Nabeyaki Udon because I prefer something soupy.  I was expecting that the udon to be smaller than the photos but I was shocked when the waiter place a portable butane gas stove on my table and a huge bowl on it.  It was a surprise that the udon was not small like the katsu don (rice) but then I was wondering if I could finish eating it.  I was stuffed by the time I finish eating the Tai Nabeyaki.  It contains fish, vegetables, mushroom and tofu.

So, share with another person if you do not normally large portion.  The portion is twice the noodles one normally eat at mamak.  I think it is worth the price for such a delicious udon and on top of that at KLCC.  The udon is just nice and not chewy at all.  The tofu is really soft.  Nothing that I do not like about the udon.  Overall, good experience at it other than high price tag.

I am not sure how katsu don taste like since I am too embarrassed to ask for a scoop.  However, I am sure it is not bad but again high price tag.

Honey Dew Juice RM10.00
Carrat Juice RM10
Katsu Don RM28
Nabeyaki Udon RM25
Tai Nabeyaki Udon RM27

Water RM0.50

There is a 10% service tax and 6% government tax
