Finally I tried the many HGs of Korean powder cleanser, Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash for its gentleness and low price.  It is one of the cleanser recommended to carry during travelling because of that liquid restriction in carry-on-bags during flight.

This enzyme powder wash deep cleanses pores to wash away all the buildup - like sebum and dead skin cells - with papain enzyme. Loaded with vitamin E, this cleanser lathers up to leave skin soft and clean. Since it's a powder cleanser it's super travel friendly. A little goes a long way with this unique and gentle cleanser.


Ingredients:
Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Sodium Lauroyl Aspartate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Palmitate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Titanium Dioxide, Badger Oil, Maltodextrin, Papain, Alcohol Denat. Methylparaben, Fragrance

Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash comes in a bottle which is pretty convenient but the cap doesn't close that tight.  Also try not to break the cap by letting it fall down to the floor.  The opening is also pretty big so becareful during pouring.


Silicone free and Eu allergen free.  I don't mind it having alcohol since it is a cleanser and there is also need for a preservative in my skincare products since I don't want mold in my skincare products or having more dangerous preservatives than paraben.  Corn starch in cleanser is okay since you are not going to leave the skin on the skin more than 1minute.

The ingredients are okay if you don't mind the badger oil.  It does have some light exfoliating ingredients which is the papain.

It is a powder cleanser that has pH5.5 which is gentle for every skin type.   I just find that the grain is a little bigger than other powder cleanser so I do have to make sure to foam it up properly on my hands before applying it on my face.

I don't really like the scent of some industrial products.  It smells like burnt plastic for me.  As for the cleansing effect, it is pretty good and gentle.  It doesn't irritate my skin, does not cause redness or cause more acne.  In fact, my skin does feel calm when I was using this cleanser.  Price is also affordable.


Overall, Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash is a gentle pH5.5 powder cleanser that is great for travelling and affordable.

Here is an affordable new Korean brands, Pureforet that offers centella asiatica line for acne prone skin.  I reviewed the balm HERE if you are interested to check out.

Centella asiatica is one of the ingredients that I use for calming my skin and when I wrecked my skin barrier since I hav picking problem. This toner has BHA and centella asiatica to treat acne prone skin. It is not news that I have acne combination skin and over there years, I have been using acne products. It is a lie if anyone tells you that acne goes away once you hit 21 years old. It doesn't happen to me since I have hormonal issues and I just don't want to go on pills.

Pureforet centella Multi toner comes in a dark plastic bottle.  It has ingredients listed in English on the bottle.  This packaging the old packaging. The packaging is more colourful.

The main ingredient is the centella asiatica water which is one of my favourite ingredients. Other ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, peptide, green tea, Scutellaria Baicalensis , Houttuynia Cordata, BHA, vitamin E, Allantoin and Betaine which are for hydrating and to reduce irritation on the skin.  There are some ingredients such as Sunflower  seed oil, Tea Tree oil and lavender oil which is low on the list but can cause irritation for some skin type.

It is paraben free, sulfate free, silicone free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free but it is not Fungal Acne Safe though.

The slight browinish liquid toner is watery which absorbs really fast into the skin without any stickness.  It has herbal lavender scent.  I don't mind the scent.  It does hydrate the skin and I layer this toner a few layers on days that I don't use moisturiser.  It is something nice to use during summer and on hot days.

After using it for 3weeks, I think it is an okay toner if you are not allergic to the ingredients or have fungal acne.  It doesn't really get rid of my moderate acne or worsen the condition so I guess it is okay.

Overall, Pureforet centella Multi toner is a light toner for oily combination skin with no allergic to some of those ingredients.

Make P:rem Tamanu Calming Serum comes a box with English written words and simple packaging.  The bottle comes in a airless pump which prevent oxidation and problem with mold.

The star ingredient which is the second ingredient is Tamanu oil (10%)  is from Madagascar, known as the source for pure quality and is extracted via the Cold Press method.  

There are three hyaluronic acids which are:
– Upper Layer (Heavy Molecular Weight): Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer
– Middle Layer (Moderate Molecular Weight): Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate
– Deeper Layer (Light Molecular Weight): Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid,  Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans

There rest of the plant ingredients are:

Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract –antioxidant, soothes skin, anti-aging

It is paraben free, sulfate free, silicone free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free.
It is not Fungal Acne Safe since it has olive oils.  There is lavender and also citrus but it is okay for me since everyone's sensitivity is different.

The ingredients are geared towards dry skin type or normal skin type and it is really great for cold weather. If you have combination skin, apply it as your moisturiser.

This serum is opaque avocado green with cream type consistency.  It does blend into the skin smoothly and make my skin soft.   I applied it after all my other watery serum and use this alone as my moisturiser.

As for the scent, it has this herbal scent or scent of spice. It is not too strong for me but everyone's idea of scent is different.

After using it for two weeks, I do find that this tamanu calming serum reduce and treat my dry area gradually.  It does take some time to work but the dried patches never come back even when I stop it for a week.  This serum treat the underlying weak barrier of that area in the long run.  I use it as my moisturiser on my driest area of my face and where my fine lines.

Overall, Make P:rem Tamanu Calming Serum is nice affordable serum for dry acne prone weak barrier skin type.  It is especially essential great item to have for those living in cold weather and during winter to protect and heal your skin.

Texture: The texture is a light opaque white gelish cream that glides onto the skin like a dream, absorbs well without any stickiness.  There is no scent.

Review: I find it really gentle on the skin and calming on the skin after skin procedures.  When the skin feels 'hot', the cream does feel cooling.  I find that this cream keeps the skin hydrated for hours and doesn't irritate the skin.  It doesn't sting the skin at all even when my skin is red with anger.  The hydrating effect is game on as it does keep the skin soothe after 12  hours.  Dry skin after laser will appreciate it for sure.  It also does speed up the healing effect by keeping the skin hydrate.


Overall, Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream is an excellent gentle moisturiser for post procedures at skin clinic for healing the fragile skin condition especially after laser or other procedures.

Promotion idea: Advertisement on social media website, reddit, influencers, Kbeauty shows such as Get it Beauty so that more people will know about this product and what it can do.  I find this product great but if it could have that fungal acne safe features it will receive more love from people with acne prone skin condition.

8 MONEY BEAUTY SAVING TIPS

The largest organ is your body is your skin 

Skincare and beauty is one of the essential importance things nowadays for health besides looking presentable to get a job.

😂Don't tell me to leech on my parents because my circumstance doesn't allow it.  Also no, I am not a popular blogger and I do not get truckloads of products to my doorsteps.  Here are my 8 money beauty saving tips.

1.  Educate yourself on skincare

By educating, I don’t mean buy whatever suggested by beauty magazine and people who has 6 HGs every months.  Look into your skin type and skin concern.  A few selected products for your skin works way better than having 20 products.  Learning about your skin type and ingredients that are suitable for your skin opens up your choice to vast amount of affordable products that you can choose for your skin. Also do not throw everything all at once to your face least you break out and have no idea what went wrong.

I mostly buy one good serum and everything else I just buy affordable ones (lesser than usd25).

With good skin, I rarely spend on makeup.  I do have few makeup items that I only buy once a year.  A lipstick/lip tint, eyebrow pencil and mascara (buy Japanese or sample size).

2. Set a budget

Set a budget for your beauty products for the whole year and not individual products because who knows going into the beauty stores for one thing and came out with 5 other more?  Once you set your budget, you only look for products within that range.  Stop looking at high end just because Beyonce use it.  Beauty products shouldn't be more than 1% of your income.

3. I avoid high end department stores

Sorry, no SKII, La Mer, Chanel, Dior, Clarins, Kiehl, Estee Lauder, Diptique etc.  I think you know how much you can end up spending when you are at that high end beauty counter especially with pushy sales girl.  Unless you are in that kind of circle where snobbish people use only expensive stuff to sound posh, chances is nobody will know.  If people shame you for not using branded stuff, then you probably have to evaluate what kind of friends you have there.

High end and expensive does not mean it is guaranteed magic potion.

4. I avoid too cheap products
I like being cheap but not to the point of putting whatever crap poison onto my face.  There are some very cheap products which has questionable ingredients that are just not safe to put on the face.

5. I avoid MLM brand

I also avoid MLM brand since most of the time the expensive price is just to pay the up line and not the quality of what goes into the beauty products.  That is why many keep changing products to entice people into buying that crap.  Now, many are trying to use beauty influencer in the name of ‘business’ to get people to be free salesperson.  Why pay USD50 that I can get the same if not better with just USD15?

6. See a good dermatologist

If you have severe acne, then it is best to go and see a good dermatologist.  Just like doctors, there are good ones and lousy ones out there.  So, look for reviews and pay for a good dermatologist.  It better than wasting money after money to try out products that claim to do magic. 

I haven’t see a dermatologist since I was able to control my acne but don’t do what I do unless you don’t mind your face be the guinea pigs.

Also, ask pharmacy for generic brands which is just essentially the same thing but you pay less.

7.Shop smart

I only buy things once or twice a year.  The best time to buy is the end year Holiday season or in May.  Look for bargains, coupons and compare the prices for the products that you need.  If you just want to try some new shiny thing because some youtubers claim magic, then look into some samples or travel size to avoid wasting money if the products do not work for you.

For some things such as fake eyelashes, cotton pads, cushion puff, compressed sheet masks, konjac sponge etc Just go and get them at the dollar stores such as Daiso which you probably only need to go once a year.  Why spend the extra usd10 just for a brand to stick upon the box?

8.Eat Healthy, Healthy lifestyle

Sorry this is a no brainer but I am just going to repeat this. There is no need for whatever Detoxification food out there.  Your body is good enough to do all that if you just feed it right.  Check out that food pyramid and see what you are eating.  Stop smoking, drinking some many beers and eat too much sugary food.  Check out that meal plan to start.  You can’t expect glowing skin with craps like fast food inside the stomach.

Overall, that is how I actually beauty all my way  for 7 years now because I need to look presentable because one can't get a decent job with unpleasant face appearance.  A decent looking appearance does matter.

Maple Syrup from Vermont area. If you are ever in Vermont, get their famous Maple Syrup which is just so good.  It smells good too and so good with toast.

Trader's Joe Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. Seriously this is so sweet and yet so sinfully good. I am just addicted to this and it is better than the Reese peanut butter cups I think.

Try out some Trader Joe Dark Chocolate Almond which is an indulgence. I like my chocolate with almonds.

Peperidge Farm Milano Dark Chocolate

Try this Peperidge Farm Milano Dark Chocolate. This is seriously good and reminds me of some soft cookies with nice chocolate in the middle.  It is way better than the super sweet macaron popularised by Ladurée .  This is so simple yet taste so good.  It also reminded me of the famous Shiroi Koibito "White Lover"

Oreo from USA

Oreo from USA is actually different from the one we have in Malaysia.  It is pretty sweet though but you do need to try it to see the differences.

Barnum's Animal Cracker. It is pretty cute and since it is made of wheat flour it is pretty healthy.  It is just my first time of eating a different kind of cookies.

Maple Syrup candy from Vermont

This is actually Maple Syrup candy from Vermont which is just so good. SOrry for the sightly melted looks because I think this Mapple syrup had a hard time in the heat and melted on its way to my mouth.   I love it so much and it reminds me of some traditional Chinese candies which has extinct in Malaysia already.


So here is all the lovely yummy snacks that I actually ate it all up in a week once I received it from my friend Luscious.  I am so glad that we are able to meet through internet and this small blog that I started long ago. 😊
