REVIEW ON MALAYSIA DAISY HANDMADE BODY PRODUCTS-PAPAYA SOAP,RICE SOAP, SINUS SOAP,CLAY SOAP,PEPPERMINT FOOT SCRUB&SEA SALT BODY SCRUB

I think it is time for me to talk about some indie products produced in Malaysian soil.  Daisy handmade brand produces very affordable handmade products locally and they have many great body products.  A friend gifted them to me since I love body stuff and I am thrilled to find some products with ingredients such as rice and papaya.

The clay mask is suitable for those who have very oily body skin.  The clay mask is mix with some other ingredients that you can feel the 'beads'.  So, do not scrub the soap directly on the skin.
If you have sensitive skin, it is not recommended.  The mask is really made from clay as it smell like one XD.  It is really great in getting rid of all the oil, sweat, clean up the pores from underarms for those who sweats a lot.

The Papaya Soap suits those that looks for whitening soap.  It provides exfoliation on the skin to get rid of dead cells so it can be slightly drying if you have dry skin type.  You do need to combine the soap with other products for better whitening effect.

I love the Rice soap the most as it smells like rice bran and it makes the body skin feels soft and moist.  It is not for getting rid of acne but recommended for those looking for soft skin since rice bran is good for normal skin to dry skin type.  I think this soap is great for those that looks for rice products and wouldn't want to spend tons of money on rice products.  I like this soap =)

I am sorry that I haven't try the Sinus soap since I do not have sinus so it won't have much affect on me.
All the soaps lathered up easily with a lot of foam.

Sea salt body scrub in Lavender

The Sea salt body scrub in Lavender  makes my body soft to the touch.  Your whole bathroom will smell like lavender =)  .  The salt is rather soft actually.  They have more other interesting scrub such as mangosteen which smell different XD.

Peppermint foot scrub

The peppermint foot scrub is really fine.  It is easy to wash the products off and doesn't leave a sticky feeling on the leg.  The peppermint scrub smells so nice, minty and fresh.  It cleanses the feet well without feeling harsh.

Overall, I am loving the rice soap very much and the peppermint foot scrub.  Daisy handmade also have products for post-natal which is useful for mothers.

I have posted about the launch of Mentholatum skincare products and products from them are affordable and decent.

With the current weather in my country, I have decided to give Mentholatum Botanics Oil&Blemish Control Foaming Wash a try since I am out of my favourite cleanser and I do like tea tree inside the cleanser.

It contains Ylang-Ylang and Tea Tree Extracts as the main ingredients as well as Wild Pansy that are effective in curbing blemishes.Skin will feel revitalised and refreshed after a wash. The scent of lemongrass is simply refreshing and it calms you after a long day at work. Suitable for oily and combination skin.

MENTHOLATUM BOTANICS OIL & BLEMISH CONTROL FOAMING WASH

The bottle is made from plastic and the foams came out when you press it.  One pump is more than enough for the whole face.  The bubbles is as in the photos quite big but it deflated fast so use it fast.  It cleanses the skin well and smell of tea tree.  It does have this slippery feeling if not cleanse well so make sure to rinse it well. Overall, it a good cleanser if you have really oily skin or combination that is on the oilier side.  Else it will be drying on your skin.  It is a decent drugstore cleanser given the price.

REVIEW ON HIMALAYA PURIFYING NEEM FACE WASH

Himalaya is a herbal brand from India with Ayurveda products. One of the products that I have been using and recommend to people with oily acne prone skin is the Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash.

It is a cheap affordable drugstore cleanser for acne prone and it is one of my favourite cleansers.  I have been using Himalaya and tried many of their products for over 10 years even before I started blogging.  Himalaya came out with many cleansers but I only like this one out of so many of the other cleansers they came out with since then.

Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash

Specially formulated to give you clear, problem free skin, a soap-free, daily use face wash gel that cleanses your skin by removing excess oil and impurities without over-drying. Neem, well-known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem-causing bacteria. Combined with Turmeric, it helps control acne and pimples leaving your skin soft, clear, refreshed and problem-free.

Directions for use:
Moisten face and massage all over, avoiding the delicate eye area. Wash and pat dry. For best results, also use Purifying Neem Scrub and Purifying Neem Mask.


The Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash came in form of gel cleanser and has a low PH of 5.5 which are two reasons why I like it. It smells of neem but it is not sticky at all.  I am not really a fan of foaming cleanser since those irritated my skin most of the time and so gel cleanser is always one of my to go cleanser when I look for one.  It doesn't dry the skin but is able to clean the skin well.  However, it doesn't clean waterproof makeup so use a makeup remover, oil cleanser or micellar water/cleansing water before using this gel cleanser for better cleansing.

The cleanser cleanses my skin well, doesn't irritate and smell of neem which is invigorating to me.  This gel cleanser doesn't foam at all, feels like jelly, it doesn't have SLS, no paraben and contains neems.

As it is only a cleanser, do not expect it to get rid of the acne only with using this as cleanser doesn't stay on the face for more than few minutes.  You will need to use other spot treatment to help getting rid of acne.  I would recommend this to someone with acne prone oil skin type or combination acne prone skin type and if you are living in humid and hot weather.

REVIEW ON CHARMZONE SAMPLES-GINGKO NATURAL FOAM CLEANSING CREAM, ALBATROSS POWDER SUN SPF41 PA++&ALBATROSS WATERFUL CC CREAM

Charmzone is a mid range Korean brand.  They are famous for their ginkgo based skincare products and mostly target people above 40 years old.

It is not a roadshop brand so it is not as popular because of the less mentioned by others.

I got to try three samples- Charmzone Gingko Natural Foam Cleansing Cream,Charmzone Albatross Powder Sun SPF41 Pa++ & Albatross Waterfull CC Cream

Here are short review on them.

GINGKO NATURAL FOAM CLEANSING CREAM, ALBATROSS POWDER SUN SPF41 PA++&ALBATROSS WATERFUL CC CREAM

1. Charmzone Gingko Natural Foam Cleansing Cream
Contains 600mg of gingko extracts
This cleansing cream's fine and rich foam cleans pores, provides moisture while cleansing, and reduces stretching and greasiness in skin with its plant extracts.
150g All skin types

Review: The cleansing cream turns into soft thick creamy foam with contact with some water.  It smells faint of fresh green plants and cleanses the skin well without irritation.  The skin is soft but not overly dry which is enjoyable.  It is a good milk cleanser for all skin type.  The price is of the higher end though.


2.  Charmzone Albatross Powder Sun SPF41 Pa++
Proves its quality with just a single use
A sunscreen which leaves you feeling soft and dry and smooth like being powdered Provides UV protection & functions as a makeup base
Can be used on all skin types.

Review:  It has titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.  It comes up in form of slight yellowish opaque white cream but turn into slightly powdery satin finished after a minute on contact with the skin.  The satin feeling does last few hours under the cc cream and this sunscreen doesn't cause the makeup to pile on the skin.  There is a slight white cast on the skin if I am not wearing foundation.  It smell of perfume which disappeared once I top something on top.
It is a good sunscreen if it is not for the fact that I am easily irritated by the titanium dioxide in it.


3. Charmzone Albatross Waterfull CC Cream
Contains 30% birch sap
Two functions in one touch: skin care & makeup
30 g
Can be used on all skin types.

Review: It has titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.  This is supposed to care for skin while providing some for of coverage for the skin.  It has birch sap which is hydrating to the skin and protect the skin from wrinkles and premature ageing.
It comes out in very light brownish cream since it is a CC cream and you are supposed to use the finger to go in a circle until the colour turn.  It was still a shade lighter than my skin tone so I don't particular like it.

Skin does feel moisturise but I guess the cc cream is more suitable for dry skin type than mine.  The coverage is light so scars can be seen through the cc cream.  It has a perfume smell to it to but the smell disappeared after 30minutes or more.

Overall, since I only get to try three things, I think I will try the cleanser which I think is great if I have to choose among the three samples that I have tried.  The other two samples are just not suitable for my skin that don't work well with titanium dioxide.

EOSUNGCHO-FERMENTED KOREAN SKINCARE 

The samples are enough for one or twice usage so I can't tell you what are the effects in long term.  The mask powder, the essence and the sap toner have the same ingredients and but the have different fermented flowery herbal smell.  If you enjoy smell of ginseng and herbs then you will enjoy the smell =) .

The cleanser has soft foam, cleanses the skin well but it won't be able to clean waterproof makeup of the face, doesn't dry and doesn't irritate the skin.  It smell of herbal roots XP.  It has low ph since high ph immediately turns my skin red.

I am not sure what the essence and sap toner do to the skin. The sap toner is very watery while the essence is yellowish gel.  They absorb well into the skin.  The peeling gel also smell like herbs.

Moisturising cream is actually gel, provide a light hydration and suitable for oily skin type since it is not sticky.  It does have a nice light hang bang scent to it.

The powder mask is mix with the toner to create a paste which is to apply on the face.  It smell like light herbs and doesn't stain the face.  You need to get the mixture right or else it will easily become pasty on the skin.  It did calm my skin and sooth the acne slightly but I don't see much effect from one usage.


Overall, from the samples that I tried, I will recommend the cleanser, peeling gel that really makes the skin soft with one usage and the powder mask to feeling fancy.  It does like an Empress to use hang bang skincare for your face .

REVIEW ON EPURE AMINO HYDRO INTENSE CLEANSER

Epure is famous for their jelly mask which gets rid of skincare problems such as blackheads, acne and make your skin smooth after 45 minutes of usage.  It was really popular at one point of time.  It is also known for being gentle and relaxing on the skin.

Here is the texture of the cleanser.  The opaque milky lotion appearance comes from the OP301 ingredient.

I actually google here and there but couldn't find the full ingredients XP but managed to get it by contacting the company.


So, here is the break down of the ingredients of the cleanser.

Miami L-30 is actually  sodium lauroyl sarcosinate (30%) which explains the foam in the cleanser.  It is an amino acid derivative.   Emal S Paste is Sodium lauryl sulfate, Amphitol 20HD is actually low irritation surfactant.Prioly B750D is a blend of  Lauryl Phosphate/ Polyoxyethylene(1.0) Monoalkyl(C12-15) Ethers Phosphates/ Ethylhexylglycerin/Potassium Hydroxide/Dipropylene Glycol/ Water. Kalcol2473 is just a raw material for cleanser and Kathon CG is preservative

Cleanser doesn't stay on the skin for me than 5 minutes so it is kind of a waste to have some amazing ingredients in them especially with amino acid, morus bombycis mulberry roots extract, honey extract, hyaluronic acid, XERADIN™ which is from the plant Salvia sclarea L supposed to give 24 hours long lasting moisturising effect to then skin.  Unfortunately, since it is a cleanser, the goodness is just less effective.

Alright, I am going to be honest that while I think the ingredients are absolutely amazing, I do think that it is quite pricey for 100ml cleanser. but since it foams up so will need a very small amount of cleanser.  It does removed waterproof makeup unless it is sweat proof.  It is gentle and doesn't irritate my skin.

It claims to be suitable to all skin type including highly sensitive skin since it is Soap-free, alcohol-free and fragrance free.  It is not unscented since there is some smell of rose in it.

I have to be honest that I do not see anti ageing effect on my skin or the feeling of having moist skin if I don't run to apply moisturiser afterwards.  So the '24 hours' moisture is probably not going to live up on dry skin, hot and dry weather.


I think it is a decent cleanser for those that cannot live without foam cleanser, gentle, remove makeup, smell nice, doesn't contain alcohol and don't mind the price.  Please do not think that this cleanser is going to be  "All-You-Need" for your anti ageing regime. XP

REVIEW ON BIODERMA SENSIBIO H2O

Bioderma was the pioneer that had swept the world with their micellaire water. After that, many brands follow suit. However, it has remained as one of the favourite brand for micellar water or also called as cleansing water. The cleanser won Number 3 for the famous Korean Get it Beauty 2015 Show.

If you are into double cleansing, cleansing water is the first steps to remove makeup and the follow up with another cleanser to clean the skin. For those that dislike the oily feeling of oil cleansing, cleansing water will be another option as the first cleanser for their gentleness and ability to remove makeup.

I find that cleansing water is more suitable for my skin because of the feeling of water on my face and not greasy feeling. Besides, some oil cleanser broke me but it does not happen for cleansing water.



It doesn’t sting my eyes even when I put it on my eyes. There is no particular smell to it. Make sure to look at the embossed expiry date at the bottle. Expired Bioderma water has very strong smell of treated water when you take a sniff.

I adore this gentle cleansing water that removes everything including waterproof eye makeup products without tugging at the skin. It is also very gentle on the skin too.



If you love French products, having sensitive skin, want a makeup remover or first cleanser which is not oil cleanser and willing to spend a little more on higher end products, this is a “must try product” in your beauty regime.
