REVIEW ON NONGSHIM SHIN RAMYUN NOODLE SOUP

Hi foodie,

My first experience with Korean culture is actually with their Nongshim instant noodles which after that lead me into more of their food and Kbeauty.

Still after many years, Nongshim Shin Ramyun noodle soup is still one of my favourite noodles.

The company Nongshim is a food and beverage company that lead Korean culinary culture since 1965.

Packaging:  The packet does have ingredients list and instruction in English.  There is the powder and the other is the mix dehydrated vegetables.  The noodles come in round shape which is how they look since 10 years ago.  Cooking them is actually easy and straightforward.  The word spicy is probably the moderate spiciness which is just right for me.  It is not too spicy but if you are the type that can only handle spiciness of potato then this is probably going to burn you.


Review:   I do like the taste of the soup and the tangy scent of kimchi.  The noodles are just soft springy which is delicious.  The portion is okay if you are not a big eater.  If you do want something more do add a slice of instant cheese which is how Korean mostly eat their instant noodles.

Overall, Nongshim Shin Ramyun noodle soup is pretty good after years of them.  I just wish the taste is a little bit more savoury though.

I'm From Mugwort Spot gel comes in a nice box with the tube comes with a nice dropper head which is pretty convenient.

Ingredients:
Mugwort Extract, Denatured Alcohol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Purified Water, Methylpropanediol, Butylene Glycol, Salicylic Acid, Artemisia Vulgaris Oil, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Oenothera Odorata Extract, Cordyceps Mushroom Extract, Potassium Hydroxide

It is paraben free, sulfate free, silicone free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free. one fungal acne triggered  PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil


As for the ingredients, the first ingredient is 90% mugwort. It does have one fungal acne triggered so do test it first.  As for me, it doesn't cause more fungal acne or treat my fungal acne.  The ingredients are pretty interesting given that it has a lot of mugwort extract and BHA in it.

Kudzu helps stimulate the synthesis of skin structure elements. It also helps redensify the skin and reduce wrinkles
Pine is use for masking the scent since without it, the product can be too vile to most of us.
Potassium Hydroxide is use as pH adjuster.

I don't mind the alcohol in it since it has 90% mugwort and alcohol based acne spot treatment works for my skin type.


Scent and texture: gel transparent texture.  It does have the scent of alcohol.  It doesn't pile and does absorbed into the skin without any stickiness.


Review:   After using it for about 2 weeks, I find it works on moderate acne.  It does reduce the oiliness on the skin, treat acne severity with BHA and mugwort, reduce redness and promotes healing.  I find that it works similar to benzoyl peroxide but less irritating.  Then again, do not apply on broken red patch or it sting a lot.  I tried it on this one pimple that I picked so it hurts.


Overall, I'm From Mugwort Spot gel is for combination or oily skin type that works best with alcohol based treatment or for those in hot environment or during summer.  You do need to use it very little and apply thinly.

Purified water, glycerin, dipropylene glycol.  1.2-Dioxane diol, broccoli extract, betaine, butylene glycol, xanthan gum, panthenol, hydroxyethyl acrylate / sodium acryloyl dimethyl taurate co-dimmer fragrance



Packaging: The packaging is nice with Pierre-Auguste Renoir / Dance At Bougival / 1882.  It doesn't have ingredient list written in English so you probably need to use an apps to translate it.
The sheet mask materials from cotton with medium thickness.  It is not the silky type but not hard paper that tore easily.  The size of the sheet mask is average.  It is probably just the right size for a small Asian face and does have slits to adjust the sheet mask.


Ingredients:  The ingredients is okay with the usual sheet mask ingredients.  This has brocolli extract which helps with brightening and calming.  The other ingredients are for hydration which is alright with sheet mask.

Scent and texture: The scent is pretty light and doesn't linger.  There are a lot clear watery liquid which is enough for a second time sheet mask.

Review:  I use the sheet mask for about 20minutes before it starts drying up fast.  It does provide hydration and calm slight redness I have.  It doesn't irritate my skin but it is not really amazing but with the very low price of sheet mask I do think it is good for those that just want daily sheet masks or something to use before makeup.


Overall, Oerbeua Clearing Mask is a daily sheet mask affordable sheet mask for hydration or just before makeup.

REAL LIFE STORY OF A HAUNTED ROAD IN MALAYSIA

Hi,

A place more famous that the E8 express highway?

Today is just a story about a haunted road that I mentioned in one of the videos I had posted. Feel free to just switch to listening mode since I am just going to use whatever photos as fillers. I am sorry since I couldn’t actually take photo of that place. I had tried but I couldn’t.

So, let move to the story about this haunted road. It is not the famous E8 express highway most known as the Karak highway which I did use as well. That is also a story save for another time. If interested do let me know.

Anyway, this part of road I am going to talk is actually famous with the locals for being spooky.
The road cut through a famous national forest. Many that went for a trip to this national forest saw things such as flying fireball and spirits. Some parts of that road do not even have phone coverage.  On the way, you will pass by graveyards and also some abandoned buildings.

The road takes about 3hours drive. Accidents happen every week in the same spot. It is common to see 6 cars got involved in the accident and each time it involves live taken. So, many road sign were placed but accidents still happen.

Contrary to what people think, that particular spot is actually wide compared to the entire journey. It is hilly as well as winding so it does feel being in a roller coaster except that this is real life and you are in a vehicle controlled by human beings.

Even regulars got involved in accidents.  It is not just spooky after the sunset but also whenever it rains, the road will become very slippery. Now you get to be the main character on Tokyo drift with no Superman' strength and eyesight.


If that is not enough, the second danger of the illusion of the road turning to the left will have you drive straight into the huge ditch.
Drive carefully and only during day time? Not buy into in illusion because you have some ghostbuster protection?

Now, try meeting 3rd obstacles-the wild animals. Yes, monkey doing suicide mode by walking backwards so that you will knock it but if you don't you go into the ditch. Oh, you managed to stop in time? Hopefully the car on the opposite lane  does not go into your road or the car behind you stop in time.

Some people said there was a loud bang on their car but when they got down there was nothing.  I will never get down if it was me.  You don't want to be face to face with something supernatural.

So, don't drive alone, never when it rains and never alone.  Bring a holybook with you and also switch on safety mantra when you are on this road.

Packaging:  The luxurious golden glass bottle is just so pretty and feels like a bottle of perfume.  The opening of the bottle is just perfect for dispensing the essence.

Ingredients:  Still check the ingredients if you any ingredients that you are allergies to.
Ethanol-free, Silicon-free, Steroid-free, Artificial coloring-free, Artificial fragrance-free, Paraben free, Fungal Acne (Malassezia) Safe.  It has the ph of 5.2 so it is just the right pH for your skin.

It is safe for those that are worried about fungal acne.  Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract(10%) is a gentle BHA so it helps to reduce inflammation and also clear your pores from the sebum that clogs pores and helps to normalize the lining of the pore that contributes to acne.

However, you are allergic to aspirin then you might need to talk with your dermatologist since they are similar but not really the same thing.

Other ingredients such as Centaurea Cyanus(cornflower) , Schisandra Chinensis Fruit Extract and  Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract (lotus) are interesting combination of plants that is used as medicine to reduce inflammation, anti polution and strengthen skin barrier.

The ferment inside this golden bottles are Saccharomyces/Honey Ferment Filtrate, Saccharomyces/Xylinum/Black Tea Ferment, Propolis Extract which are popular for their antioxidant, antibacterial, hydration and speed up healing.

The rest of the ingredients are to aid hydration, preservative and also pH adjuster.


Texture:  It doesn't have any smell or scent at all.   I like the light texture that absorbs into the skin really fast.

Review:  I do like it because it calms my skin, exfoliate the pores, speed up healing, doesn't irritate my skin, and do provide light hydration and strenghten my skin barrier.  It doesn't cause fungal acne so it is a good essence to use during the day and also at night.  It is gentle, suitable for sensitive skin acne prone skin and makes my skin soft.

Overall: By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence is a great essence for acne prone skin, those that like light watery texture products, oily to combination skin living in hot humid weather or just for any skin type.  I do enjoy using it daily.

With the current social distancing instant noodles has become one of what I often eat 😂
When you talk about Korean traditional food it is kimchi for sure.  So here is the Samyang Kimchi Ramen (Ramyun) is a Korean food product which is really popular.

The most popular dishes from Samyang is the Samyang Hot Chicken stir-fried noodles which I had tried and is just too spicy for me.

Packaging: It comes inside a plastic packet written with English wording along with pictures on how to cook it so it is easy to understand.  It is certified Halal.  Inside there is the powder seasoning that has some vegetables and kimchi.  The noodles is in regular retangle shape.  It has medium size noodles and after cooking it, the noodles are soft springy and really nice.  The soup looks red but it is not spicy.  It is of medium spiciness to me because I can't eat that Buldak black packaging one.


Review:   Overall, Samyang Kimchi Ramen (Ramyun) is just my type of noodles because I cannot tolerate much spiciness.  I prefer mild version of delicious Korean kimchi and light tangy taste.  There is another one with totally white packaging and that one has even a milder taste reviewed Here

It’s a water-like exfoliating toner with low irritation and no viscosity. Packaging: Klairs Daily Skin Softening Water comes in a huge big dark green 500ml plastic bottle.

This toner is Paraben free, sulfate free, silicone free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free. fungal-acne safe.

Cucumber water and Apple water are great for hydrating.  The sugarcane has exfoliating benefits of AHA but the low gentle formula of glycolic acid makes it possible for everyday usage.  Panthenol, Betaine, Glycerin are there to keep the skin hydrated with the humectant and emollient properties.

Citric acid which is very low in the list is to act as pH adjuster and it is the only ingredient which some extreme sensitive might fine it a trigger. The rest of the ingredients are safe and gentle for daily exfolation which acne prone skin like mine need.


This softening water is actually odorless. The closest I could describe is it has very faint scent of plastic which disappeared once it dries down. The liquid is just like water and absorb very fast into the skin and have no whatever stickness. It is great for hot humid summer and for combination skin type.  You can also soak it in a compressed mask to create a light exfoliating sheet mask. (not more than 5min on your face)


review: The pH4.4 is ideal for light exfoliation and closes to the skin pH which is between 4.4 to 5.5.  I tried it for 3 weeks and I think it is a very gentle exfoliating everyday toner.  It very gentle to my skin and doesn't irritate my existing acne prone skin.  You do need to continue use other skincare products to deal with more than mild acne.



Overall, Klairs Daily Skin Softening Water is a jumbo affordable non irritating light exfoliating toner for combination oily skin type .  If you have fungal acne and want to be safe by avoiding the By wishtrend mandelic acid prep toner, this can be a good replacement of that.

How to use:
Spray the tonic on scalp whenever it feels dry or itchy. This tonic is so gentle, you can even use it on your face and body.

Truezyme Healing Multi Tonic comes in a silver plastic bottle.  The box has all the ingredients and information listed in English so it is great for looking for information.

It is paraben free, sulfate free, silicone free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free and Fungal Acne Safe.

As for the ingredients, there are many great ingredients.  The only ingredient that some people may have problem is lavender which isn't a problem for me.

It has a light lavender scent to it.  It comes out in form of watery mist and absorbs fast into the skin leaving no residue or stickness behind.  I spray it on my hair and it does absorbs fast too.

This tonic does calm the scalp and helps with healing.  My scalp and hair is much healthy when using it.  It does reduce the dandruff and oiliness with my scalp.  It is a nice tonic to use to protect your hair especially if you have weak scalp, perms a lot along with hair tools to 'fries' your scalp.

On my skin, I like this a lot since it is easy to use.  It calms my skin , reduce irritation, strengthen my skin, doesn't sting my skin at all even after I pick on my skin and speed up healing scars.  It doesn't cause acne or worsen it.  In fact, my skin barely break out when I was using Truezyme Healing Multi Tonic.

I think the price is justiable for the amount you get which is 100ml and you can just this one bottle for your whole family during travelling.


Overall, Truezyme Healing Multi Tonic is a really great Hanbang products for multi purpose usage and for your whole family.  It is safe for you and also for the environmental conscious.
