REVIEW ON BIO OIL

The name Bio oil is a highly mentioned when it comes to scars.  I think I have gone through few bottles of it.  They are useful on their own.

Bio-Oil helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, good for ageing and dehydrated skin. Bio-Oil has won many skincare awards and has become the No.1 selling scar and stretch mark since 2002.


Bio oil main ingredient PurCellin Oil, is also highly effective for other skin conditions including ageing and dehydrated skin. It is formulated for use on both the face and body.

The bottle is light and since it is transparent, I can how much I have already use.  It applied it on my scars and all over my body.  I don't really fancy the smell inside the bottle but the smell changes upon application on my body. The 60ml is going to last me very long as I hardly made a dent on it after 2 weeks considering I apply it on my whole body 3 times a day.

It is in form of oil which has a sheen on the skin after application.  I find it a value for money considering that you can use it for a long time.  Not bad as a body oil for dry skin type and to even the skin tone.  Consider that it does not have any harmful ingredients, it is an item that even children can apply.

As for effectiveness, it will work better with new scars.  This old scar is way too long and permanent to have drastic improvement.  It does fade slightly.  However, it is a good moisturising oil =) .

Enzyme Scrub Mask

Direction:
Apply a generous layer to your face and neck with your fingertips after cleansing and toning. Leave for 5 to 15 minutes. Then gently scrub in circular motion with your wet finger followed by sponge off with warm water.

I was sent this scrub for review purposes. The name and packaging is really colourful and cute.

 The first ingredient is water while the second ingredient is a Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride which is perfume. That explains the nice smelling scrub.

The third ingredients gives sort of texture control and provide moisturize. It has cetyl alcohol so it can be drying and potential irritant for acne prone skin type. It has willow bark extract which is like BHA but not exactly the same thing.

It has these tiny beads inside the scrub so it can hurt your skin especially if you have really sensitive skin.


Overall, it is an okay physical face scrub. I don’t scrub my face with it because my skin is really thin at the moment and anything physical can just make it bleeds. I just applied and wash it off quick enough before it dries down.

REVIEW ON NEESYA ILLUMINATING ESSENCE

Is this the cheaper dupe for the famous Facial treatment essence? I will wonder each time I came across any water based essence as these essence always intrigued me with amount of interesting ingredients in them.

Neesya is a local brand producing products for Malaysian. Why not support products made locally?

I got this from the BFF community and I was happy that I got to try this Illuminating essence.

Here is the list of ingredients.  There is Silver Vine and Alpha-Melight™ that claims to inhibits formation of melanin and helps to brighten the skin.

There is the Neesya holographic sticker to make sure that it is original

NEESYA ILLUMINATING ESSENCE

This is a water based essence. It has faint smell of herbal. It has slight viscosity but absorbs well into the skin without leaving any traces. If you put more than your skin can absorb, it does feel a hint of stickiness. The essence does hydrate my skin without feeling sticky especially in such hot weather. I love it as sheet masks too =) I think if you are looking for a local dupe for Facial treatment essence, then try consider looking into this one. It does have interesting ingredients such as sodium PCA, watermelon extract, apple extract, lentil extract and saccharomyces ferment lysate filtrate.

It doesn't clogged my pores or cause me acne but I can't say that my skin is really whiten because after all we can't get any fairer than our original skin colour.


It claims to smoothens, brightens, evens skin tone and with LumiScience Technology. I think the hydrating properties can boost up the hydrating properties of your serum and moisture level.  However try not to have ridiculous expectation on Neesya Illuminating Essence because it will not do much on its own. No, you can't get 'photoshop' skin with this bottle alone.

Bioderma was the pioneer that had swept the world with their micellaire water. After that, many brands follow suit. However, it has remained as one of the favourite brand for micellar water or also called as cleansing water. The cleanser won Number 3 for the famous Korean Get it Beauty 2015 Show.

If you are into double cleansing, cleansing water is the first steps to remove makeup and the follow up with another cleanser to clean the skin. For those that dislike the oily feeling of oil cleansing, cleansing water will be another option as the first cleanser for their gentleness and ability to remove makeup.

I find that cleansing water is more suitable for my skin because of the feeling of water on my face and not greasy feeling. Besides, some oil cleanser broke me but it does not happen for cleansing water.



It doesn’t sting my eyes even when I put it on my eyes. There is no particular smell to it. Make sure to look at the embossed expiry date at the bottle. Expired Bioderma water has very strong smell of treated water when you take a sniff.

I adore this gentle cleansing water that removes everything including waterproof eye makeup products without tugging at the skin. It is also very gentle on the skin too.



If you love French products, having sensitive skin, want a makeup remover or first cleanser which is not oil cleanser and willing to spend a little more on higher end products, this is a “must try product” in your beauty regime.

Lakme has etched its name in the world of makeup and fashion. Lakme’s range is renowned in India for being affordable and with quality. It is now available in Malaysia. If you are looking for pigmented matte lipstick to define your lips, the Lakme Absolute Matte is one to look forward.

Here, I have the Lakme Absolute Matte in Burgundy Affair for review. Burgundy is sure my favourite colour for being versatile on every skin type.

Here is my no makeup look with the burgundy affair-it looks light because of the lighting. I did the gradient lips because I just look ugly horrible with full lips makeup.

Here is another photo with better presentation of the burgundy colour. It is actually the inspired F(X) red light makeup look which was popular years ago.


The lipstick is package in a dark grey exterior shell which is simple and elegant. The lipstick is highly pigmented with just one stroke. It is really matte so make sure your lips are well moisturized to avoid the crack or lip lines showing on the lips. The colour does last long through the day and will only fade a little after eating. It does transfer to cups.

REVIEW ON PERIPERA PERI TINT IN PINK JUICE

Loves ‘the no-makeup makeup; or ‘light makeup’? Then, tint maybe one of your favourite make up products XP.

Peripera is famous for their lip tint. Tint is actually a multi functional product to give a hint of natural colour on the face without looking like you are wearing makeup. It is mostly use for lips but you can use it as blusher to give a healthy flush to your face.

One look at it and many will think that it will looks like blood red on the lips. It is alright to buy really darker colour because the colour will turn out light on the lips. Most people doesn’t really like water tint because after wearing it for few hours, there will be patches of colour on the lips. It doesn’t look that pretty. It can be avoided if your lips in heavily moisturized before applying the water tint. Try applying two layers instead of one layer for the colour to appear on the lips too.

After opening, it will last for twelve months. The one with the ‘can opening’ is how long a product last.

Here is the colour on my lips. It is really light with just one stroke so don’t let the dark blood water fool you. It doesn’t show much on the upper lips XP

Here is my face doing the Japanese Igari with the Peri pera tint as blusher. Do I look drunk?




This is the dupe for the Benefit tint. Even the design is similar to Benefits. It has the wand application which is enough for the lips with just one swipe. The colour is slightly brighter than the Faceshop lovely me:ex aqua tint juicy red. It is very watery without any viscosity at all.

Overall, it is a good dupe for the Benefits tint but the colour couldn’t last long enough. But for the price, I think it is good as a blusher for a natural flush than as lip tint. I have to apply few times for the colour to show on my lips when it dries down. The not wonderful thing about water tint is that you have make sure to apply lipbalm or it will make the lips ended up in patches of colour which it not sexy to look at. The good thing about tint is that it doesn’t leave mark on the cups which I like.

However, If you are looking into more pigmented and longer duration tint for lips, it is better to look into the Ink tint and Marker tint. I am not really into bright tint so that is why I bought water tint after trying it out on my hands at Watsons.
