REVIEW ON NEULII TEATREE BHA BLEMISH CONTROL SERUM

A gentle BHA that suits sensitive skin but offer light exfoliation for acne prone skin?  You may be interested in this Neulii Teatree BHA blemish control serum.


Neulii is actually a skincare brand that is newly launch by RoseRoseshop.  I did the samples review of the Tea tree BHA blemish serum& the Green tea BHa pore tightening serum.  I have been trying out this new product and here is the better review of the full size.

The box is reflective on the outside.  The colour of the printing and on the box follows the type of serum to avoid confusion.  Red is for blemish serum.  I think this is a good move because sometimes, I accidentally grab a moisturiser when I want a toner because everything look the same.

The bottle of Neulii Teatree Bha Blemish Control Serum is actually a slight looking frosted plastic bottle.

The serum has smell of alcohol and tea tree but the smell disappeared once the products get absorbed.  It has yellowish tinge to the clear liquid, really fluid and absorb into the skin fast.  Remember to use a sunscreen during the day.  Make sure to apply moisturiser to avoid the skin drying out from the AHA.  I find that the serum does help calming my acne prone skin and get rid of those existing acne and prevent new ones from forming. However, it might too gentle and you might not see any effect for those that are already using glycolic acid or other stronger form of AHA as this contains only tea tree leaf water and betaine salicylate(0.2%) .  Tea tree leaf water and betaine salicylate (0.2%) are kind of weak given than if you are so use to using 'strong' stuff, gentle things will probably be too weak to 'work' on you.

I will say this is the BHA to go with the affordable price and if you have tried many forms of BHA products out there and every single one out there just make your skin turned angry and 'shoot to the moon' with more exploding volcanoes.  This Neulii teatree bha blemish serum gently exfoliate the skin because it has ph of 4.2 which I think is really great since my skin is 'sensitive' and I have to stop all sort of strong exfoliation or strong topical acne cream.  The pimples are also less red and look more calm the next day. This serum will work better with other acne products to get rid of acne.

I am not sensitive to the ingredients in the serum but you should check it out for any potential irritant.  I am actually using the serum the way it is recommended by Neulii which is right after cleansing.  Then I followed up with my hydrating toner, eye cream and moisturiser.

Overall, I do like this serum and will repurchase unless I could find something better and even cheaper than this.  A girl can dream right?  XP  If you want to know if it is my HG, you will probably need to wait another 2-3 years because my HG products have to stand the test of time.

Please do not expect miracles because the serum is meant to be used everyday on a consistent basis and for light to medium acne.  If you have severe acne, I suggest you probably need to look into your lifestyle and consult a good dermatologist.

You need to push the aluminum gold coloured head to the side until it pop out.  Don't be like me because it took me a good 30minutes to figure out how to open the ampoule XP .

Each ampoule if for a day so a box lasted me 5 days.  You can either apply this ampoules at night without other skincare because it is already hydrating and rich on it's own.  I will already do the cream, sleeping job so if you apply too much, your skin probably could not handle the too much moisturise.

The ampoule texture is watery and smell of fermented ingredients (collagen mix with ginseng) .  However, don't have to worry as the smell disappeared fast.  It absorbed into the skin fast without leaving any traces of residue and my skin does feel hydrated, soft and bouncy the next day. You will need to use it continuously for five days to see much more obvious effect than using them on alternate days.

If you use only one bottle of ampoule it will make your skin hydrated, makeup will go on well and be long lasting on your skin but of course don't expect miracles XP .

Overall I will suggest using a box of it a week earlier before a special events so that you will look fabulous XP.

The sunscreen comes out in form of opaque white.  It goes on smooth on the skin, brighten the skin and smooth out the skin like a primer.  It is transparent once applied on skin with sheen so it won't cover the red scars if you have any.  The skin is primed to be brighter which I guess suits the glowing look of summer.  There is a slight white sheen along with moisturized skin which is really great for makeup after that.  Skin feels matte to the touch but not to the point of dryness or taunt skin.  The sunscreen is water resistant since I couldn't clean it off with just plain water.  Make sure to remove your sunscreen well at night even if you do not use makeup.

I just do not really fancy the smell of those orange flavour dehydration salt.  It will only disappear few hours later. XP

I like that this sunscreen has only zinc oxide because titanium oxide just doesn't work that well with me.  Zinc oxide is really great for healing and appears on rash cream or used for skin rashes.  It did help to protect my skin and did not irritate my skin.  There is also the anti ageing ingredients, Astaxanthin, Cucumis Sativus (Organic Cucumber), Hyaluronic Acid, (Red Algae) Extract, Organic Green Tea Extract, (Organic Pomegranate) Seed Oil and Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Essential Oil.


However, there are some essential oil that may clogged some skin type so do check out the ingredients first before purchasing.

When you need to do sheet mask daily but looking for affordable sheet masks to not break you account.  Sheet masks is not cheap here but I like using them for the cooling especially in this warm and dry weather.

I actually went to the local drugstore shop and saw that the there is only a box of this Japan Gal VC+Nano C mask left so I guess it must be cheap for it to leave one box.  It turns out this is daily sheet masks and the price is affordable given that is 30 pieces.  Inside the box is actually a zip lock bag containing all the 30 pieces of masks.  Use a cleaned tweezers or some other tool to take the mask than your hands to avoid contamination.


The cotton masks is decent.  It is not particular soft but it is okay.  The fit is vertically longer that horizontal wider.  I wish that it is wider.  It doesn't fit my face and I have to cut the mask sheet each time.  The mask doesn't cling to the face but doesn't fall of my face which is okay.  The essence is not bad and it doesn't have any fragrance to it.  Not drippy as the mask dries up within 15 minutes so do not use it more than 15 minute else it will stick hard on you face.  It does help to calm my face, doesn't irritate and hydrate my skin.  Overall, it is a decent mask for daily usage.  You will need to use the mask daily to see brightening effect.  Although it is not particular amazing, I will buy it again for being affordable, the decent effect that it gives and also it doesn't irritate my skin. =)

I didn't include the photo of before and after but if you need it let me know.  It is okay and so I don't see much effect other than better hydration and slight brightening.

Blame it on the erratic weather that is currently happening.  My dry body becomes drier than the leather and it dawn upon me that I no longer have the option of ignoring it or being lazy.  It can get really itchy and red that the usual light body lotion just doesn't make the cut.

I was really glad when I was handed L'Argan Bio Body butter for very dry skin.  This is different from the body butter and cream that I have tried before.

The body butter has creamy-lotion like texture instead of those thick, uncomfortable heavy body butter.  It is really easy to smooth the body butter on my skin and it sure feel more like a night cream since it doesn't leave any residue or shine on the skin.  it is occulsive enough on the skin so I guess it is suitable for those looking for cream for the body products but are unsuccessful with conventional body lotion.

The smell disappeared after 1 hour.  The effect does last on my skin the whole day without me feeling dry with just one time application in the morning.  I think this is a great organic body butter for extreme dry skin.  It is sure economical considering that you only need about a dime(1inch diameter) for your whole body. =)

It has taraxacum mongolicum (dandelion), smilax glabra roxb (tu fu ling or sarsaparilla ), lonicera japonica (Japanese Honeysuckle) .  No turtles kill in the process.

Guilinggao chinese herbal jelly powder packet

Ingredient:
1 packet of Guilinggao chinese herbal jelly powder (make sure it is original as there are many imitation out there)
250ml of water

Instruction:
1.  Take out two spoon of water from the 250ml water.  Pour in the packet of the herbal powder into the two spoon of water and stir until it is well mix like the glue.  Then, pour the rest of water into the cup and stir again.

2.  Next, boil the mixture just now on the stove.  Use low heat.  Make sure to stir slowly until the mixture turn thicker like glue and then quickly turn off the heat.  (Don't stir until it harden like a lump of jelly)

3.  If you like it sweet, then add in about 20 g sugar into the mixture.  If don't, you can don't have to add in the sugar.  You can serve it with honey later on.

4.  Then pour the mixture into the mold for it to cool down.  Don't use plastic because it is going to be toxic and it is not good for consumption.

5.  Once it cool down, put it inside the fridge and serve it cold.


So, overall do you like it?  It is a fairly easy to make herbal recipe for health and for dessert.  It is actually slightly bitter so children may not like it for sure and we usually eat it with honey or with the plum sweet XP. I am used to the slight bitterness because there are other way bitter things that I have tried before.  It is like eating jelly but with traditional medicinal herbal taste =) .

REVIEW ON CHARMZONE SAMPLES-GINGKO NATURAL FOAM CLEANSING CREAM, ALBATROSS POWDER SUN SPF41 PA++&ALBATROSS WATERFUL CC CREAM

Charmzone is a mid range Korean brand.  They are famous for their ginkgo based skincare products and mostly target people above 40 years old.

It is not a roadshop brand so it is not as popular because of the less mentioned by others.

I got to try three samples- Charmzone Gingko Natural Foam Cleansing Cream,Charmzone Albatross Powder Sun SPF41 Pa++ & Albatross Waterfull CC Cream

Here are short review on them.

GINGKO NATURAL FOAM CLEANSING CREAM, ALBATROSS POWDER SUN SPF41 PA++&ALBATROSS WATERFUL CC CREAM

1. Charmzone Gingko Natural Foam Cleansing Cream
Contains 600mg of gingko extracts
This cleansing cream's fine and rich foam cleans pores, provides moisture while cleansing, and reduces stretching and greasiness in skin with its plant extracts.
150g All skin types

Review: The cleansing cream turns into soft thick creamy foam with contact with some water.  It smells faint of fresh green plants and cleanses the skin well without irritation.  The skin is soft but not overly dry which is enjoyable.  It is a good milk cleanser for all skin type.  The price is of the higher end though.


2.  Charmzone Albatross Powder Sun SPF41 Pa++
Proves its quality with just a single use
A sunscreen which leaves you feeling soft and dry and smooth like being powdered Provides UV protection & functions as a makeup base
Can be used on all skin types.

Review:  It has titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.  It comes up in form of slight yellowish opaque white cream but turn into slightly powdery satin finished after a minute on contact with the skin.  The satin feeling does last few hours under the cc cream and this sunscreen doesn't cause the makeup to pile on the skin.  There is a slight white cast on the skin if I am not wearing foundation.  It smell of perfume which disappeared once I top something on top.
It is a good sunscreen if it is not for the fact that I am easily irritated by the titanium dioxide in it.


3. Charmzone Albatross Waterfull CC Cream
Contains 30% birch sap
Two functions in one touch: skin care & makeup
30 g
Can be used on all skin types.

Review: It has titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.  This is supposed to care for skin while providing some for of coverage for the skin.  It has birch sap which is hydrating to the skin and protect the skin from wrinkles and premature ageing.
It comes out in very light brownish cream since it is a CC cream and you are supposed to use the finger to go in a circle until the colour turn.  It was still a shade lighter than my skin tone so I don't particular like it.

Skin does feel moisturise but I guess the cc cream is more suitable for dry skin type than mine.  The coverage is light so scars can be seen through the cc cream.  It has a perfume smell to it to but the smell disappeared after 30minutes or more.

Overall, since I only get to try three things, I think I will try the cleanser which I think is great if I have to choose among the three samples that I have tried.  The other two samples are just not suitable for my skin that don't work well with titanium dioxide.

EOSUNGCHO-FERMENTED KOREAN SKINCARE 

The samples are enough for one or twice usage so I can't tell you what are the effects in long term.  The mask powder, the essence and the sap toner have the same ingredients and but the have different fermented flowery herbal smell.  If you enjoy smell of ginseng and herbs then you will enjoy the smell =) .

The cleanser has soft foam, cleanses the skin well but it won't be able to clean waterproof makeup of the face, doesn't dry and doesn't irritate the skin.  It smell of herbal roots XP.  It has low ph since high ph immediately turns my skin red.

I am not sure what the essence and sap toner do to the skin. The sap toner is very watery while the essence is yellowish gel.  They absorb well into the skin.  The peeling gel also smell like herbs.

Moisturising cream is actually gel, provide a light hydration and suitable for oily skin type since it is not sticky.  It does have a nice light hang bang scent to it.

The powder mask is mix with the toner to create a paste which is to apply on the face.  It smell like light herbs and doesn't stain the face.  You need to get the mixture right or else it will easily become pasty on the skin.  It did calm my skin and sooth the acne slightly but I don't see much effect from one usage.


Overall, from the samples that I tried, I will recommend the cleanser, peeling gel that really makes the skin soft with one usage and the powder mask to feeling fancy.  It does like an Empress to use hang bang skincare for your face .
