What is your skin Profile?

 

Whether you are new into the skincare journey or skincare experts with many years of experience in skincare, skin profile is important to find skincare products suitable for you.  Some people called it skin type, skin concern, skin problems or what you need for your skin.

So it is important to have a skincare profile in order to know your skin better.  Don't worry since it is not a job interview.  It easier to choose skincare products that suits your skin needs after you have a skin profile.

Here is a simple skincare profile

Skin type: dry, oily, combination and sensitive (I like to call it imbalanced skin)

Skin problems: blackheads, redness, acne, big pores, red acne scars, aging skin, wrinkles, dull skin, dark circles, dark spots, freckles, hyper pigmentation 

Your skin type can change because of weather, age, hormone, stress and many other reasons.  So, don't think it will be permanently one type only. 

As for skin problems,  you can have many at the same time. Most people treat one at a time first. For example treat skin barrier first before treating the acne scars.  I understand most people just want clear skin fast but it isn't a rocket science so do treat the issue one by one.

Please do find out Skin allergies by getting it check out at an allergiest or hospital.  It is different than food allergies since some ingredients such as grass, snails, dust or cat's fur can cause skin irritation which some people think it is acne without getting it checked.  It is also easier to check for ingredients to avoid when you want to buy skincare products.  It is never a good idea to made a wild guess of what you are allergic to yourself.

Water, Panthenol, Peg/Ppg/Polybutylene Glycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, Sodium PCA, Diglycerin, Urea, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Sorbitol, Lysine, PCA, Allantoin, Lactic Acid, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol

Paraben free, sulfate free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free, silicone free  and fungal-acne safe (malassezia). 

It has a simple gentle formulation which lightly exfoliate skin with lactic acid.  Although it is mentioned that lactic acid in this formulation is not high enough to exfoliate skin, it can still irritate skin that are exposed to strong actives or those that make this toner 'strong' by treating it as sheet mask.

The hydrating ingredients such as panthenol, glycerin, sodium PCA, urea, rice protein, sorbitol, allantin, vitamin E, lysine keeps the skin from irritation and dryness.

The rest the ingredients are for hydration, emulsifier, texture, pH adjusting and preservatives. 

Texture: It is a watery transparent liquid toner that absorbs very fast.  As for the scent, some people said it smells like new shoes. For me, it smells like how those slightly fermented rice smells like.  It is not the best thing in the world but the scent disappeared once it dries down.

Review: It is not a hydrating toner so don't soak this toner with compressed mask else you can overexfoliate your sensitive skin.  It is a pretty nice light exfoliation toner that does not dry the skin and really good for combination oily skin type.  If you are not using other actives, this toner is a good gentle start.  It doesn't clogged my pores or irritates my skin which is nice.  It does help to make my skin smooth without dryness.  My skin does feel smoother after using it for about 2 weeks.  Using it with cotton pads before make up does make makeup last longer and looks better too.

Overall: It is a nice gentle light exfoliation toner which is fungal safe for acne prone skin.

I actually went to this Kopitiam Suria Chuan Seng, Kluang, Johor, Malaysia seeing so many people going in and on youtuber recomendation.  It is located near a gated fancy housing area and behind a very expensive fancy restaurant.

Pros: 

- self service

- Affordable price of coffee, nasi lemak and kueh

Cons:

-slow to serve or asking us what we want to drink

-not much choices of breakfast

-most people just get the nasi lemak and some kueh

Personal experience: I probably am too lazy to come again because there are too many people with slow service.

Pricing: took a few Kueh and nasi lemak and it was only RM10. The coffee is about RM2 per cup.

Let me honest, I got this because it is cheapest table online and way cheaper than I buy one from the shop.

So this arrived with the two pieces of pictorial guide.  It is written in Chinese so figuring out from the photos is just painful.  So here is a youtube videos from me which will take 1hour for assembling with 2hours extra to figure out the pictures.

Sorry already assemble the drawer which should actually be easy to figure out from the photos.  I can say about the rest of the shelves and desk though.

Review: Boom Rock Bronze is a very nice pretty natural colour.  The colour doesn't fade unless eating like how I do.  Application is very easy and I just feel safe eating it. 

Overall: I like having a safe lipstick that I don't have to remove when eating.  It is a good natural safe lipstick that have very nice selection of colours for everyone.  Highly recommended.
