Dressing in Malaysia?
Food in Malaysia?
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate

Today is about the Seasons In Malaysia for K-Influencer August 2021 Mission
Seasons In Malaysia for K-Influencer August 2021 Mission |
Unlike other countries with four seasons - spring, summer, autumn, and winter, Malaysia is a country with eternal summer.
Since we live at the equator, we have tropical climate with high humidity at 80% and above.
We do technically have two seasons.
One is from March to October with the eternal summer.
The other is from November to February with the monsoon. meaning raining non stop, dark gloomy sky in East Coast and so will the coldest and wettest months.
It is not good to visit the East Coast where the beautiful islands and beaches are located during the monsoon as most places are just going to get flooded. The best time is always the May where it is just so hot and the sky is clear.
Even on highland the weather is still hot during the day and only gets colder at night and that is probably around 15-20 Celcius.
What seasons do most Malaysians like?
None will tell you that they like this eternal summer here since it is mostly 35Celcius over here. If you are inside the car without air conditioning, it is 45Celcius. You can even cook an egg inside the car.
Just like most people from other countries go to the beaches during summer, over here people for vacation during the end of the year when many countries are going to have winter just to see snow and experience it first hand. Social medias will be vacation overseas with snow.
Dressing in Malaysia?
If it is not for working, weddings or formal occasion then the default clothing for everyone is T-shirt, shorts and flip flop. The weather is so hot that 90% people will wear that throughout the year. For more fashionable people, it can be sneakers, jeans and blouses. We don't do layering since the weather doesn't permit it.
Food in Malaysia?
Since it is so hot, ice cream is a favourite. We also have this ABC or ais kacang and fresh coconut juice which are also nice food to have. I prefer the whole coconut than those from those bottles.
Hot pot is also really good over here. It is good to sweat it out with hot pot so many Malaysians love hot pot too even when we do not have winter here.
Not to forget the Nasi Lemak which is if translated called "fat rice". The rice has coconut milk in it so if you eat it everyday, you can become fat.
We do have seasonal fruits which is the ...you guessed it King of fruit "The Durian". If you don't like Durian you can have mangosteen. Both came out the same time and they are seasonable fruits.
Overall, I think I covered everything about the season in Malaysia. Do I love the weather here? No, I prefer it when it is temperate which can only happen when you switch the air conditioning on.
