Looking for a mild gentle gel cleanser for acne prone skin?
Do have a look into this By Wishtrend Acid Duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser which I have been using for more than a month already by now. It comes in 150ml bottle which last me for 3months which is pretty good.
I usually use a gentle powdered cleanser or gel cleanser which I find is less irritating than foam cleanser. I bought this cleanser since I am curious on the performance if it works with my skin.
The Acid Duo Mild Gel Cleanser is a gentle cleanser containing Capryloyl Salicylic Acid LHA and Gluconolactone (PHA) that cleanse the skin from dead skin cells and impurities. With the pH level of 5.5, it helps restore the skin’s pH balance and is gentle to the skin.
Ingredients;
Water, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Lauramide DEA, Diglycerin, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Sodium Chloride, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Gluconolactone, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Panthenol, Maltodextrin, Citric Acid, Beta-Glucan, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Jasminum Officinalis (Jasmine) Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Calendula Offininalis Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Cyanocobalamin, Sodium Benzoate, Chlorphenesin, 1,2-Hexanediol
By Wishtrend Acid Duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser cames in a nice rose box with ingredients printed in white with English written ingredients. The plastic bottle has a nice lock in mechanism which is really thoughtful and nice since I really don't like spillage.
As for ingredients, it is free of Sulfates, Essential Oils, Fragrances and colorants which I think many would like. There are plants ingredients such as peppermint and BHA that can help with acne prone skin. The again check again since some people are allergic to stuff such as lavender. I don't have problem with lavender.
Inside the bottle, the cleanser looks pink. Once it is on my palm, the cleanser comes in transparent clear gel which does transform into foam with water. It doesn't really have any scent. The closest I can tell is very faint plastic scent. The gel liquid does foam up easily so using a dime size is more than enough to clean the face. It cleanses my skin well and does not make my skin feels dry which is nice. It has pH of 5.5 which is slight acidic and mild for skin.
It can remove waterproof makeup but I don't recommend it since it can be irritating to the eyes's area. I use this cleanser twice a day. For dry skin type, it is best to use it once at night since it can be slightly drying.
Also if you are using strong actives such as tretinoin or very high percentage of AHA, BHA then I do not recommend using this cleanser on the same day since there are some ingredients can be irritating if mix together but since it is a cleanser that you wash it off, it may not pose much harm other than dryness.
Fore effectiveness, I think it is a mild cleanser that doesn't cause clogged pores or irritating. It doesn't make acne disappeared but it is not causing any harm to the skin so it is a nice cleanser. A cleanser is just to clean the skin and not irritate skin so this cleanser does its job.
Overall, By Wishtrend Acid Duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser is a nice mild pH5.5 gentle gel cleanser for combination oily skin type and for acne prone skin.
