Mud is one of the beauty ingredients for skincare products. The famous Boryeong Mud Festival is held annually in July and many went to the Daecheon Beach and Boryeong City just to enjoy the benefits of mud on their skin.
The five richest mud of the world : Canadian East coast, American East coast, the North Sea, Amazon river basin, Boryeong Mud from Seoul.
KOREAN MUD STORY
Mud has been made by soil, salts and degradation product of animals and plants that had been accumulated for a long time getting geological, chemical action and microorganism's disintegration.
For this reason, mud has lots of mineral and microelements like carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, iron, silicate compound.
Also, not only it includes organic matter and hormone analog like prolan and estrogen but also it has abundance of pieces of vitamin like thiamine, ascorbic acid, folic acid and vitaminB12.
Because of this mud's ingredients, first of all mud has a lot of mineral matter, it can make a spa effect and can make a cure effect for the circulation or metabolism of body and nervous system.
Also mud has gluey component(colloid) and a crystalline component, these can be used broadly as a physical cure method, such as a sand bath, bathing in mineral water and sea bathing.
Besides it is known as outstanding effect for trauma therapy because of the antimicrobial and sterilization effect.

1.Boryeong Mud Shampoo 500g RM 139
The shampoo with no artificial colouring, promotes healthy scalp thus reduces hair fall, dandruff and reduce oiliness of scalp. Hairs are soft and shinny even after a day of washing. Perfect for all scalp conditions.
2. Boryeong Mud Conditioner 500g RM 139
The conditioner with Boryeong mud extract and hair moisturising ingredients will ensure hair is soft, shinny, moisturise and non-frizzy.
3. Boryeong Mud Body Cleanser 500g RM 109.00
This body cleanser cleanses the skin by removing dirt effectively. Its natural ingredient and Boryeong mud extract will keep skin soft, moist and clean.
Ingredients: Clay, Citrus Extract.
4.Boryeong Mud Pack 150ML RM159
A wash-off type of nourishing mask. Containing 20% of Boryeong Mud and algae extract to deeply cleanse clog pores and face of excessive sebum, dirt and dead skin cells. Leaving skin clean, refine pores, moisturise, brighter and smoother complexion.
Ingredients: 20% Mud, Algae Extract, Oyster shell Extract, Sea Silt Extract
5.Boryeong Mud Cleansing Foam 150ML RM109
This cleanser will remove dirt and excessive sebum from face. Its soft and rich foam, will effectively cleanse the face of impurities without stripping the skin, leaving skin fresh, soft and smooth.
Ingredients: Carica Papaya(Papaya) Fruit Extract, Lilium Candidum Flower Extract,Clay.
6. Boryeong Mud Beauty Soap RM59
Contains 2% of Mud and Olive oil add as an intensive moisturizing effects. This product works great as an all over treatment for extra-dry skin. Since it's natural, it's the ideal pick for eczema skin.
7. Boryeong Mud Skin Lotion 140ml RM 139.00
Toner is made of 5% mud water. Toner will clean any last traces of impurities and preparing skin for the next skin care regime. Skin feel fresh and soft.
Ingredients: Sea Silt Extract, Artemisia Princeps Leaf Extract, Algae Extract.
This moisturiser with ginseng extract will regenerate collagen, detoxify and rebalance oil gland production to delay skin aging. Its natural whitening ingredients from mulberry bark extract will lighten pigmentation and brighten skin complexion. Its burdock root extract with Vitamin B and E and strong antioxidant will heal any skin conditions.
Here is some of the samples for Boryeong mud skincare products. Since most are 6ml samples which are for about 1-2 usage, I can't really tell you exactly what are the long effect of using the products or find anything special with just one usage. So, do take my review with grain of salt.

The Elasah cream is transparent and light gel . You need to gently massage it until water drops form or feels like it has turn into water, and lightly pat skin to increase absorption. A thin film will be form to retain moisture all day long. It is meant for dry skin type.
The Boryeong Mud Pack has a grey colour and smooth texture to it. Application is really easy. The mud dries down to light grey and easily wash of. The skin does feel cleaner and less redness overall.
Boryeong Mud Beauty Soap smells very much like mud as it doesn't contain any other fragrance. It foams up but not much but you don't need the foam to clean the skin. The soap cleanses my skin well and it is not drying.
Boryeong Mud Cleansing Foam has a pearly light pink colour to it. One only need about a pea size as it foam up really well and cleanses the skin well. It sure smells floral which is nice too =O
As for the shampoo, conditioner, body cleanser and lotion(toner) since I can only use them once, I can only tell you that they smell nice and doesn't irritate my skin.
