Gluconolactone is the PHA which is gentle to exfoliate the skin.

There is niacinamide to brighten the skin.

Hydrating ingredients are Adenosine, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Betaine, Hyaluronic Acid.

Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate is actually the salt form of licorice root which is to reduce inflammation.

The rest the ingredients are for hydration, emulsifier, texture, pH adjusting and preservatives. 

Texture: It has very watery liquid that absorbs fast onto the skin without any traces.  As for the scent, nearly non existent.  I have to put the liquid so near and it just smell like very faint of the scent in their 100% centella ampoule.

Review: It is a very light slightly acidic toner. It absorbs very fast into the skin so it is more suitable for combination or oilier skin type.  I find it is not that hydrating if I want to just use it on its own.  One can use it to swipe the face with cotton pad for a better makeup.  It is not irritating and doesn't cause any clogged pores.  I like that it is fungal safe just incase my skin decides to be angry with me.

Overall: It is a great light watery toner for combination or oily skin type, acne prone skin, in hot humid weather, fungal safe.

REVIEW ON THE ORDINARY EUK 134 0.1% ANTIOXIDANT

I finally tried The Ordinary and no, it is not that red serum that is always sold out.  I am not ready to nuke my skin even when Tik Tok influencers are promoting melting your face off with strong acid everyday is the way to go if you have acne prone skin.  

Sorry, I can't make my skin submit.  My skin already detonate itself a few times.

So, what did I get then?   So here is the review on The Ordinary EUK 134 0.1% because of the interesting ingredient superoxide dismutase and catalase. 

The Ordinary is a brand that produce affordable products.  Their motto is Clinical Formulations with Integrity and is born to disallow commodity to be disguised as ingenuity.  So their products have very simple ingredients.  Products are free of parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, animal oils, coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, mercury, oxybenzone.

EUK-134™ is a derivative of superoxide dismutase and catalase.  It mimics two antioxidant skin enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase which are two smart enzymes found in our bodies that speed up the conversion of cell damaging free radicals into friendly and harmless things such as water and oxygen.

It is a water-free antioxidant solution that max the anti aging effects.

Packaging: It has simple design with ingredients on the box.  The dark dropper style bottle is easy to use.

Ingredients: 

Propanediol, Ethylbisiminomethylguaiacol Manganese Chloride

Paraben free, sulfate free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free, silicone free, fungal-acne safe (malassezia).

Water degrades most potent antioxidants. This formula contains 0% water, 0% silicones, 0% oils and 0% alcohol for maximum potency and stability.

 

The Ordinary uses twice the amount of 0.05% which is the usual concentration in skincare so this bottle has double the effectiveness of antioxidant.  Also EUK-134™'s is actually very expensive so getting this ingredient in The Ordinary is a good deal.

Caution**: EUK 134 cannot be used with the direct acids, pure Vitamin C, Ethylated Ascorbic Acid, Copper Peptides or Resveratrol

Texture&scent: Brown oil liquid since The Ordinary use waterless formulation.  It doesn't have any scent at all even when I placed it as closed as my nose. As for the texture, it is waterless oil liquid that takes time to absorb.  I do have to keep patting it until it absorbs and use a water toner and moisturiser.  If I just put it on, it will just sit on top of the skin.

Review:  I stop using my vitamin C for a month.  I use it twice a day.  Using it in the morning to protect my skin and using it at night for repairing my skin.  I use about half the dropper each time.  It gave me this warm feeling that lasted a few seconds each time I applied it on my skin.  It is not tingling or painful feeling.

No irritation my skin or cause me breakouts.  In fact, it helps to speed up healing time and reduce the inflammation I have on my face because of acne.  It also reduces redness on my skin and my skin soft, more bouncy and youthful.  The effect is gradual and it reduces damages on days I pick on my pimples.  It does reduce and lighten the lines on my face.  I tried not using for a week and sure enough, lines and redness start to make the appearance.

The not so good thing about this is probably just the not so elegant texture which I can compensate by using other watery texture products with it.

 

Overall: I think The Ordinary EUK 134 0.1% is a great choice as antioxidant choice for dull, sensitive, acne prone skin.  Since you do not need to put inside the fridge, it is more usage friendly.  Also I find it easier to use something like this  EUK 134 0.1% that doesn't require me to remember which day I have used the product or else damage barrier skin that needs months to heal afterwards.

What is unique about this cellulose mask is there a 'thermometer' symbol at the back.  You will need to put it inside the fridge.  The thermometer will turn from white into greenish(ready to use).

It is a really hydrating mask with all the ceramide, hyaluronic acid and plant ingredients (centella asiatica, linseed and Alcea rosea).  

I do like the ginseng ingredient which is a luxurious ingredient.  There are some calming skin ingredients for acne prone skin such as the BHA, urea and caffeine.

It is paraben free, sulfate free, silicone free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free. one fungal acne triggered which almost at the end of the list (PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil ).

Review: The sheet mask fit really well with slits and it is big enough to cover my jaw.  The celluse mask is soft, silky and gauze type of materials.  It is filled with a lot of viscos essence.

It has some sort of light floral scent.  It does help to hydrate my skin and calm it down.  Of course with sheet mask, the effect last at most two days and need continous usage .


Overall, AHC Premium Hydra Soother Cellulose Mask is a nice sheet mask for calming the skin.

Review:  The one here I have is just so pretty.  The butterfly on the nail is strong and lightweight.    It is also easy to take out the adhesive tabs and place on the fingers.  It is waterproof and the glue does last for a week before I remove it.  It takes out the trouble of trying to apply nail polish using my non dominant shaky hand.

Overall: Easy press on nails at home, beautiful and is very affordable.

Homosalate is chemical UV filter.

It is a hybrid suncreen.

This sunscreen does contains a lot of plant oil and plant extracts which can be nice or irritating for some people.

The rest the ingredients are for hydration, emulsifier, texture and preservatives. 

Texture: It has an opaque light lotion feeling.  It has a nice slight scent from the ingredients inside the sunscreen.

Review: Upon application, it does have slight white cast if you applied the correct amount.  The it does fade a little into semi matte without any sticky feeling.  It leaves the skin looking slightly dewy.  It is comfortable on my skin.  It is nice under makeup since it does not pill.  It does not irritates and don't clogged me but if you are acne prone do make sure to remove it with proper cleansing at night.  It is easily remove with a good cleanser at night.

Overall: A nice gentle sunscreen that is good for all skin type especially dry skin type.
