For facial spa experience at home, modeling mask is one of the important steps.  I do like to do my own care at home so I go this LINDSAY Soothing Herb Modeling Mask.

Lindsay is a Korean brand that produce many types of good modelling mask which I had also tried years ago.  This one is a good choice because of ingredients that calm acne prone skin like mine.

LINDSAY Soothing Herb Modeling Mask (no synthetic colouring)

Benefits:
A calming herb mask formulated with pure and natural herbal ingredients that are certified in EWG green level, suitable and safe to use for all skin types.

Contains Artemisia Princeps, Houttuynia Cordata, Green Tea to deliver an instant soothing effect to the skin.

Contains Camellia, Aloe Vera and Cactus to cool down the dehydrated skin caused by hot weather and regulates the skin's normal temperature.

Locks in hydration to retain a healthy skin barrier, protecting the skin against external threats and preventing different skin problems caused by water loss.

Contains Kaolin to effectively and gently draws out impurities instead of surfactants and scrub, protecting your skin barrier.

No chemical antiseptic added.

How to use:
1. Put 7 spoons of powder with water using the enclosed spatula in a 1:1 ratio.
2. Mix them together by using spatula until it reached to a batter consistency.
3. Apply a thick layer of the mask and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Wet the edges of the mask to take it off without leaving any residues on the face.
4. Finish up by applying moisturizer.

Packaging: This one come in simple ziplock packaging with the ingredients list on the packaging.  You can see the powder from the packaging which is nice.  Inside the package there is a 7ml spoon that you can use to get the amount of power for the spa. 7spoon of 7ml is 49ml.  So the whole packet can last about 7times usage.

You can reduce the amount depending on the size of face.

Diatomaceous Earth has exfoliating benefits to reduce acne and make skin smoother.
Glucose is a humectant.
Calcium Sulfate color additive, opacifier and binder.
Magnesium Oxide is also used as an ingredient to absorb or soak up liquids.

I like all the other plant ingredients that helps to calm acne such as mugwort, green tea, licorice, peony eggplant.

Texture&Scent: With the correct amount of water (you can use green tea water), the texture will be smooth batter but will need fast application else it will harden into gel very fast.  It smells like earthy herbal.

The green colouring comes from the ingredients since there are no added colouring in it.

Review: Applied it on my face, it does make me look like the "Shrek" with face melting off.  Removing it is a bit hassle but not difficult since it mostly come out in one big piece of applied thick enough.

It is cooling on my face, reduce redness, hydrate and brighten my face.  Apply some serum before using the mask does help to get better effect compare to paper sheet masks.  With this mask, it is also possible to apply it up to jaw and neck which is normally ignored.  It does make my face smoother and pores look less visible.  I find it help to clear up breakouts and calm my skin.

Overall: It is a good modeling mask if you don't mind the hassle of DIY at home.  It is suitable for acne prone skin and fungal acne safe too.

FOOD REVIEW ON RESTORAN TEOH HENG, KLUANG, JOHOR

Hi foodies,

I actually do go out to eat and travel but 90% of the time I just don't bother to take photos since my family really don't like that they have to wait for me before eating.  So unless I get permission from them, I rarely do.

Besides, I am no food blogger by the way I write.  I think most people are just here for beauty products most of the time.  Anyway, found this place because my brother said some famous youtubers said this is the place to eat so here we are.

Here is a food review on Restoran Teoh Heng which is in Kluang.

Place:  The shop is not that huge so once it is full of people, then it will look crowded.

Service:  Pretty good just slow if there are a lot of people.  I do have to do the loud calling to get attention though.

Food taste: We ordered what are in the photos and bak kut teh for 2 person and the size is pretty a lot with lots of meat actually.  If you are a big eater then this restaurant is good.  The yam rice is pretty good.  The bak kut teh meat could be a little more softer and it will be good. The soup is okay which is not that memorable.

Review: Food are okay if you are not a picky eater like my family.  It is very affordable since for that it only cost RM32 where other places probably will cost RM70 for the same amount of food.

Overall: I will probably come again if I couldn't find other better place for ba kut teh.

Anyway, I got this hydrating foam cleanser because of the low price it has and also after looking at the ingredient list which is pretty good considering it is fungal safe cleanser and containing matcha (green tea).

The ingredients are great and gentle for any skin type unless you are allergic.

Texture: The colouring is from the natural colouring of matcha and will changes with time since tea do change colour after expose to air.  It foam up a little into dense foam.  It smells just like matcha green tea which I love.  It has pH5.5 which is gentle for most skin type.

Review: This is a foam cleanser that is very gentle even for my sensitive combination skin.  It doesn't irritate my skin when I have broken weak barrier skin.  It is fungal safe, does not broke me out or dry my skin out.  I do like this cleanser since it also helps to reduce the sebum production and not drying.

Overall: It is a good affordable gentle hydrating foam cleanser for any skin type.

●     IDW Design & Build (IDW) was established in 2007 as a start-up business in interior and renovation company when both of them were 21 years old.

●     They graduated with Diploma Studies in Interior Designer followed by Degree in Interior Architecture and ended with Master of Science Facilities Management.

●     Their company was first driven after receiving an offer to design and renovate a bungalow which costed RM1.1 million.

●     At the age of 25 years old, both founders received another big project to design a college costing RM1.7 million. It took one year for the completion process.

●     Due to insufficient experiences and young age factors, both founders were often scammed by contractors and faced with debt issues.

●     High determination and persistence became their main willpower to further pursue their studies in Master of Science Facilities Management, yet still managing IDW business.

●     Lokman Hakim, IDW Board Director, was once failed by his lecturer in one of his Master’s subjects due to time commitment in study.

●     Both founders were continuously faced with sly contractors who took advantage which forced them to latter bear the loss.

●     Both founders decided to get married in 2012 after great deal of challenges faced in the business world.

●     Despite great deal of challenges faced in bearing loss liability from getting scammed by contractors, they stand strong in building IDW empire. 

Chapter 2 – Fire Tragedy

●     Tragic accidents open up Lokman Hakim and Rabiatul Adawiyah’s mind to create a stronger version of IDW legacy.

●     In 2017, the fire tragedy almost killed Lokman Hakim and his family’s precious life when they were staying at their New Zealand’s vacation house.

Packaging: Arrangement of the book content is good.  It covers everything inside a house.  From living area, kitchen, bedroom and also Muslim praying areas.  The book is made from very good materials and paper.  It is a hardcover book with 430pages.  I really like the beautiful coloured pages with detailed drawing of design complete with measurement.  It also comes with QR codes for more materials and printed measurements to make printing it out easy.

Review: The price is a steal for the amount you can get from this book.  Going to the interior designers cost a lot more.  One I heard was RM50k just for designing a room and this does not include the materials for designing it.  With this book, you can choose the colour, the build, the design and then asked contractors for quote on the work than just talked and get scamed.

Also, there is extra golden tips and details for house buyers, list of 50 tips for interior design and what to look. It helps me for sure to carry and let people know the design than just talk which most of the time don't get me what I want.  Most of the time people just misinterprate what I want.  So having a photo guide is really helpful.

Overall: This is a helpful guide for anyone that are planning to build their dream house with the interior design that they want without paying so much.  I mean I love beautiful design but I am just not having the RM100k just for designing a room.

Packaging: It comes in a dropper dark glass bottle.  There are ingredients listed on the box in English and in Korean.

 (malassezia) .  It has pH5.6 which is nearest your skin pH.

Houttuynia Cordata Extract is used as the main ingredient.  It is also known as Heatleaf and seems to be a very popular ingredients in skincare products for acne.  It has antiflammatory effect, soothe skin, control sebum, refine pores and reduce infection.  
It is a medicinal and edible herb with an aromatic smell that has long been used in Asia to treat pneumonia.

The star ingredient is propolis which second ingredient and is 15% inside the bottle.  Both ingredients are good to calm the skin, reduce inflammation caused by acne and protect the skin as form of antioxidant.

Other ingredients as hyaluronic acid, panthenol, betaine and glycerin are good for light hydration of combination skin.  I like the turmeric extract which is really great for reducing acne on the skin.

Zinc PCA is salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid which control acne, reduce the sebum inside your pores.

Texture: It has slight yellowish clear watery liquid with slight viscosity that absorbs into my skin fast.  I think the older version was thicker compare to this new version which is light liquid that absorbs fast into my skin without any stickiness.  There isn't any strong scent.  On my very close olfactory contact with liquid, is has medicinal Houttuynia Cordata with faint sweet honey that doesn't last more than few seconds on my face.

Review: It calms my acne prone skin, reduce the irritation and reduce sebum production on my skin.  My skin looks better in the morning after using it 3days.  Since I also have problem with fungal acne and maskne, it helps to clear my skin.  It is also fungal safe.  Compare to the Quad Boosting essence from the same line, this ampoule is more effective on my skin.

Overall: It is a great ampoule for people dealing with acne, maskne or have hormonal acne issue.  It is also fungal safe and suitable for most skin type.  I really enjoy using this ampoule and will get this again 😄 .

- I really like this organic mugwort essence from Korea for calming my skin and doesn't irritate my acne prone skin.  It is also fungal acne safe so that I can use it without worries.  It calms, reduce irritation on my face caused by wearing face mask and feels so light on my skin.  It also absorbs very well without stickness.

- this ampoule has houttuynia cordata that my acne prone skin really likes.  It clears up my acne and keeps my skin smooth and clear.  When I am in the rush and just do not have time, I will wash my face and apply this propolis ampoule to keep my skin moisturise.  It is also fungal acne safe.  The texture is a little sticky if applied too much but I like the effect since I can also simplified my routine in the morning.

* Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream 

- I have been using this calming since the day it launch few years ago.  It is suitable for my combination skin and my hot weather.  It has this cooling effect which I enjoy.  I also like that it absorbs fast without stickness and reducing redness on my face.
