Sheet masks is transparent and thin.  The mask smell faintly of berries.  There is lot of essence. Sheet mask adhere to the face well, size of sheet mask is quite big for me so I need to fold a little. After removing the mask, no sign of redness and my face do not feel sticky.After usage, skin is elastic and translucent. I think it is really good as I don't feel sticky at all.

It has light scent.  One will need to apply this daily to see the effect and if your skin is severely dry like mine, then it is better to mix it with highly moisturising oil like argan oil or sweet almond oil.

Using it on its own when I was having severely dry skin doesn't help much. Overall, it is drugstore products that moisturise the body skin and it is affordable.

Although you can use this on the face, I prefer not too since it has some ingredients that is clogging for acne prone type.  There is paraben and also mineral oil that many will not find it appealing.

Do check out the skin repair for sensitive skin if you need to see the differences between the two.  skin repair for sensitive is not moisturise enough but does not have a scent.

Tea tree is sure one of the familiar ingredients for treating acne and oil skin type.  It is really one of the wonderful ingredients for acne prone skin type who looks for something natural =).  Here is a cleanser that contains tea tree ingredients for acne prone skin type =).

I have check the ingredients at CosDna and there is nothing that can potential irritate the skin or cause clogging.  All the ingredients are safe and will not cause problems in the future. =) However, there are some people who might be even allergic to coconut so do check it out.

THURSDAY PLANTATION TEA TREE DAILY FACE WASH FOR ACNE

This is a tea tree cleanser that is really gentle and not drying at all to the skin. It doesn’t have any clogging and dangerous ingredients in it. It cleanses my skin gently and doesn’t irritate my skin. I have been using this cleanser for 2 weeks and have not been breaking out at all thanks to the soothing ingredients in it. This cleanser also has fewer ingredients which will suit acne prone skin type. I used to have those underground pimples but not anymore with using this =).

There is another cleanser from Thursday Plantation but I find this is a real keeper.

My skin is also well balanced and using it does keep the oil in check. The foam is soft, not irritating and smell of tea tree =)  . Do keep in mind to use makeup remover to remove your makeup since this foam is not enough to clean everything.

Overall, it is a cleanser that I will highly recommend for acne prone sensitive skin type since it is gentle, soap free and does not contain any ingredients that can potentially irritate acne prone skin type.


Another cleanser that I love and put into my list of favourite =) .

 The serum smell fantastic of floral scent which I do love.  The serum is like light cream which goes smooth onto the skin leaving no trace of greasiness

It does help to brighten up my skin and does not irritate my skin despite it having alcohol.
I think this serum is most suitable for ageing skin type that starts to have ageing spot and in need of brightening serum.  Best to use it with the miraculous oil because that will help with balancing the moisture and oil on the skin.

Hi foodies,

Since some readers ask for some dessert, here is an easy banana cake.  It is actually nice to eat this with some ice cream with tea.

Ingredients:

300g banana
1 teaspoon soda bicarbonate
140g sugar
5 eggs (medium size)
240g self raising flour
1/2 tea spoon salt
60ml vegetables oil (olive oil, palm oil)

Steps:
1. Smash the banana. add in soda bicarbonate. Leave it for 30 minutes.
2. Whisk the egg and sugar until it is frothy.
3. Add in the self raising flour add in the salt. Mix until it is smooth.  Add in the banana mixture and mix it. Leave it for 30 minutes.
4. Add in the vegetables oil and mix until it is smooth.
5. Grease the mould and pour the batter into a mould 8X 4 X 3 inches.
6. Heat the oven 180 degree for 10 minutes. (depending on your oven-use medium heat)
7. Bake inside the oven at 180degree celcius for 35minutes. (depending on your oven-use medium heat)
8.  Serve it with ice cream and tea.


I will try to come up with some other dessert.  Actually, Chinese dessert are all the warm ones but there are some cold Malaysian dessert but I actually am lousy at cooking dessert.  Another reason that I don't have much cooking recipe now because I forgot to take photos and ate them up already.  This is the problem if being a glutton.  It is so hard to suppress my appetite and take photos of the food.

REVIEW ON KIKU-MASAMUNE SAKE BREWING SKINCARE EMULSION

Hi Beauties,

As much I love using fermented stuff, it usually are expensive and rarely comes for body products. Love using sake filtrate as your skin but without breaking your bank? Introducing to you this sake filtrate skincare product from Japan.

Apparently this is a famous brand in Japan and it is made by Kiku-masamune Sake brewery (1659)! This is part of my small haul from Japan. You can read about my haul HERE. I actually talk about the shipping and the price of personal shopping for Japanese products.

Sorry, I can read a single word of Japanese here.  The emulsion is as famous as the toner lotion.  Mine was one of the few last bottles.  I took the plunge actually to order the emulsion instead of the toner because I am running out of body lotion and this has fermented stuff in it!  The brewery stop making it because of the changes in the weather. I was disappointed when I couldn't get it but I just have to thank the web owner for looking it up for me.  Japanese offers such dedication and really good service!

The emulsion smells like fermented sake.  I love the smell actually.  The smell is really faint actually.The emulsion is opaque watery white. Application is just so easy as the emulsion absorbs into the skin really well without any stickiness.  Your body will just feel really silky. Good for person who hates thick body butter.

I love this emulsion very much.  I am using it on my body and it really helps with my skin dryness.
I love the feeling of bathing in sake goodness everyday and it is only like USD12 for such amazing stuff but I guess I can no longer get thisT_T .  I considered myself as being really lucky the first time to still get my haul and just ended with a warning letter but I won't be lucky for the second time.
Why my skin love you Kikumasamune Skin Care Emulsion??? Now, I have to go find a dupe available locally.> <  .

However, please do check the ingredients as some people may feel worried because of the mineral oil in it.

PS:warning. If you are living in Malaysia like I do, then please do not Order brands that is not in the notification list through EMS.  IF you are really lucky, you will get a warning letter like me. I am really grateful and can't thank my lucky star enough for the whoever that hold my parcel is being nice to me and my product arrived to me with just a warning.  Worse your things get stuck at the "kastam" and destroyed just because some people is not holding the licence to import those product to this land! Do read this problem written about another person here too.  It is okay if the product is one piece, from brands available here such as Shiseido and not more than 1month (not more than 100ml)supply if you still want to use EMS.  It has to comply with some healthy regulation which I don't know what. Make sure it is below Rm400 or you will get tax no matter what of shipping you are using.

To be safe, just use registered post(SLOW POST) which is slower but at least you will get all your things.

So, I put up the ingredients in case you will be interested to read on before running out to buy the cleanser.  There is the SLS and colouring so for those who are particular about it then better not get it.  I don't really mind as long the product doesn't give me allergy and cleanser is not going to stay on the face more than 1minute.

ST.IVES BLEMISH CONTROL GREEN TEA GEL CLEANSER

The green tea extract is actually almost at the end of the list so the amount is little to make differences.  So the key ingredients that helps with the skin condition is actually COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE which is actually a calming ingredients and antiseptic to the acne prone skin.  Besides, there is the glycerin which is actually beneficial to the skin.

The cleanser does foamed up a LOT.  I think oily skin will find this helpful.  I did not leave the cleanser on my face because it is very drying to my other parts of my face.  This cleanser is definitely NOT for dry skin acne prone type.

I do love the smell of the cleanser which is refreshing and of green tea. =) Since cleanser doesn't stay on the skin for more than few minutes, the thing to look for is that it cleanses well, doesn't irritate the skin and doesn't dry the skin.  Use a separate makeup remover because this couldn't remove waterproof makeup.

Overall I will say that it is not a bad drugstore cleanser for very oily skin and if you are not using other strong actives like other AHA, BHA, retinol or retinoid products.

Word of advice-do not use other AHA, BHA, retinol or other peeling stuff with this cleanser if you have sensitive skin or your might have peeling skin later.

REVIEW ON OXY ACNE PATCH

When using just one acne product is not going to solve your skincare problems.  Many brands came out with their own version of acne patch since acne patch had gained popularities because of the ability to suck up the pus inside the acne and thus reducing the size.

Now, Oxy came out with this ultra thin acne patch which is really thin and not visible unless you are few cm away from my face.

Inside there is 26 different size of patches and also a tweezer.

The acne patch does help to make me stop picking on my acne at every opportunities I get.  I think Oxy acne patch is quite helpful and has the strength to pull out the pus from the acne.  The size is reduced.  However, it doesn't work for cystic acne or those underground acne that doesn't have the 'head' yet.  You can still apply on those 'acne' to lessen the chances of further irritating that area.

Change the patches every 3-4 hours as leaving it too long can make the patches too sticky so when you remove the patches, the top of the 'pimples' might get remove and everything 'flow out'.  In that case, clean it with betaine or some wound disinfect and apply another new hydrocolloid patches on top.

It doesn't stop the pimples from appearing so adopting a healthy lifestyle and using the suitable skincare products is important. Acne patches is just to help speed up the healing process.

EASY SHATTERED GLASS NAIL ART TUTORIAL

Hi Beauties,

Shattered glass nail art is highly rave in Korea now.  Many find it really pretty and easy.
Here is my version of shattered glass nail art.  I am just using three things.  This is easily achieved and last for about 5 days.

Here are the things that you need.

Scissors
Silver holographic Cellotapes
Silver nail polishes


You absolutely don't have to use the same brand of nail polish that I use. As for the silver holographic cellotapes, I get it from stationery shop that sells 10 rolls for RM2.25 (USD 0.50) .  It is way easier to use since they are already in form of stickers and I can use scissors to cut them up.
This is the easiest since I find that holographic papers doesn't last as long as the one in stickers.

1. Paint your nails in silver or colour that you like.

2.  Cut those stickers into shattered types -triangular will be better. Let those shattered sticker stick to your scissors.

3.  Take those shattered glass from the scissors with a tweezer.  Place those shattered stickers on your nails.

4. Tadaa, beautiful nails.  Put top coat on your nails for the sticker to last longer.

SHOPPING HAUL DIRECT FROM JAPAN WEBSITE (KIREI STATION)& PERSONAL SHOPPING REQUEST

While there are many websites for Korean products, I can't find Japanese website offering products direct from Japan.  Okay, I can't read Japanese words so finding website that is in English is really difficult without going through website like Amazon or Gmarket.

Personally, I prefer to buy direct from Japan and so happy that I found this website > <  . Japan to you doorstep since who wants to fly to Japan just to buy a bottle of sunscreen?

I actually stumbled upon this website that offers Japanese products direct from Japan and they do personal shopping too. Only pay extra RM20 (USD5) for all the items which is ridiculous cheap. But of course don't asked for 100 different things since the fee charged is so low.

You can do the request from the Inquiries or pm them direct from Kirei facebook website.

I am kind of being frustrated with myself after I found out that I can request for other Japanese items not found on their website!  However, I need to be careful with choosing cosmetics now. If you read at the end of this post, you will know why.

I got the sake emulsion which comes in really a huge bottle.  I am really curious as this is a skincare from a famous sake brewery! I saw some like the lotion very much.  At first I ordered the emulsion but it is out of stock T_T and the company is not making it because of the changes in the weather. Why is the emulsion is selling out so fast? It must be good stuff since it is sold out?   I wanted to get the lotion already to compensate it.   I am so impressed with the good customer service by the website!  They managed to get that bottle of emulsion for me!!!!  That is such high good customer service!  I think really highly of Japanese customer service and this really prove that I am right!  Nothing like what we have some lousy customer here.


*sigh* On the other hand, I will be very unhappy since this will be the first and the last bottle I can order.  My country doesn't allow sake stuff to come in here. T_T *cries*.



As for the Moritaya Tofu Yogurt mask, I saw some not so good reviews about it but the ingredients are really interesting and they are from natural things so hopefully it is going to be fine.  This is not cheap but apparently good for dry skin type.  I am just so curious and hope that curiosity is not going to kill me > <

If you are living in Malaysia like I do, then please do not Order brands that is not in the notification list with EMS.  Use just normal registered mails or The SAL.  IF you are really lucky, you will get a warning letter like me.
