I know that Innisfree is already in Malaysia but well I am in a place far away from that big city where beauty products gathered. I actually bought this online because I finally give in to the temptation after so many rave about this clay mask.

Innisfree is a brand that even men like. I didn’t get Etude House skincare products because Etude House skincare lines are more for teenagers and not a person who is going to be in the ‘mature’ categories soon. Since Innisfree is also suitable for adult, I decided to get their famous mask.

I was actually thinking of whether to get the original Volcanic Clay or the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. Then, since I haven’t try the original one before so I was thinking of just maybe getting something not so strong because I read that Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask smell are stronger than the original.

However, Volcanic line is just for pore concern and so people without acne problem can also use it. If you are looking for combating acne, then go for their Innisfre Bija line.

How to use:

1. Using a toner, remove any residue left on your face.

The mask smell like clay and application is easy.  Unlike other mask, this won't make your face feels tight or harden up after 15minutes.  It is easy to wash it off even without warm water.  It is quite drying though if I leave it as it is.  Application of skincare products such as serum and moisturiser is a must after that.  If not, my skin feels like a desert.  I think it is because people my age gradually has skin moving towards dryness.

Other than, it is a very good mask as my face feels really smooth and my pores are all very much smaller.  Definitely recommended for those with big pores concern and age in between 15- 30years old.  Men  would like too =).

I won't recommend it for dry skin or during winter.

We need to clean our pores before using other skincare products on our face. This why there are some products to exfoliate our skin. I was very much intrigued when I saw this mask on the Taiwan beauty show and was really surprised at the very low price.  However, do not look down on it since it is cheap and affordable compare to other masks.

If you have trouble skin like me or congested pores, then you will probably need to try this one out.

Instruction on how to use it

The jar is made from light plastic and it is matte black.  It is easy for travelling as I do not like to carry heavy jar of products.  Most of the words are in Chinese.  Sorry, I can't read them.


I could only guess that it is the usage instruction of applying the mask about 0.3cm after washing the face.  Leave the mask for about 30minutes.  Then, use the cotton pad to wipe it the mask off before washing it off with warm water.

The mask is black in colour and it has a very subtle metallic shine on it. I sure feel like I am applying roses on my face.  The colour is because this mask is specially made from the rare black Rose and diamond charcoal which functions is to clean the pores from pollution and also to moisturize the skin. I love the heavenly cooling feeling of the mask especially during such hot weather .


The dark black colour might shock everyone but it sure does it job in cleaning the skin without the tight and dry feeling.  It looks as if I am applying charcoal on my face and  I don't mind looking silly for 20 minutes before revealing beautiful skin.  Try to do this when no one is around or for Halloween purposes as I am sure you do not want anyone to have a nightmare from looking like you are having charcoal on the face.

The jelly mask has very soft pudding texture and definitely no sticky feeling at all.  Application was as easy as a breeze.  After 30 minutes, it wouldn't look so black.  Then, wipe it off with tissues before wash it off with warm water.  I prefer not to leave anything on my face so I normally wash it off. I  love the nice feeling and the bouncy feeling of using this mask.  I do think that jelly mask is more suitable for those with combination skin or dry skin that couldn't use clay mask which could be very drying.

 Jelly mask can also helps to balance the water on the skin to avoid the pores producing more oils.

It will certainly helps to brighten the skin, deals with pores and clean the pores plus it is super cheap.  I am going to add this into my weekly treat =)  .

The mask really looks just like pure honey. The liquid is thick and smell sweet with jasmine. It made me wanted to lick it because it smell just so delicious. The mask dried me to a light yellow and it was very easy to peel off. A lot of your dead cells will be stuck on the mask. It cleaned up my pore very well too. I find that oily skin will benefit more from a peel off mask as it tend to absorb oil in the process and clean up the skin. My skin felt really clean after 3 uses. It also has anti inflammation as it tone down the redness cause by breakouts.

Dry skin can also use this but one need to apply moisturiser after it. Well, I think choosing the right mask that is suitable with your skin will help your skin more.

The mask I creamy white and smell just like coconut. The coconut mask is indeed moisturizing. Although I have combination skin, it doesn’t make me sticky and uncomfortable at all. I think it cleanses the skin well too. Overall, coconut mask will be much suitable for dry skin as it cleanses and also hydrate the skin at the same time. I find it refreshing as the normal hydrating cream masks are usually stick and leave traces of oil on my face. This is indeed smell good and effective. It is also easy to wash of and no film of oil left on the skin.


If you are having dry skin but wanted to use mask to clean your skin, you can opt for mud mask as it works much better than clay and peel off since mud has moisturising effect.

REVIEW ON THE FACE SHOP BABY FACE WASH OFF MASK PORE CARE

I love to use mask especially the one for pore care, trouble care and clearing.

So, here is the 5ml sample.  The sample last me about 2 application since one only need to apply a little.  I am suppose to just massage this on my face and wash it off.  I don't have to leave this on the face or it can be very drying since clay mask are known for sucking up all those oil on the face.  So, if you have dry skin, better don't leave this mask on the face.

The mask is soft and greenish in colour.
It find it easy to apply the clay mask on the face.  Application was smooth and the mask did make the skin soft to the touch.  It was also easy to wash it off and it doesn't stain the towel.  The clay mask did smell like talc but nothing flowery or fancy.

So, overall I think I would buy this product again since the clay mask make my skin soft to the touch. =)

REVIEW ON SKINMISO PORE BEAUTY NOSE PACK

If you are a fan of Korean beauty products, I am sure you would know about this famous Skinmiso pore pack.  I was really excited when I saw this in My HiShop August Beauty Box.  I really want to try this.


The package comes with words in English to help non-Korean to understand how to use the pack.  It even contains picture as instructions.  So, you would definitely understand how to use this.

1.  Wash the nose with water and put Step1 on nose.
2.  After getting rid of Step1, remove the whiteheads and blackheads with cotton swabs or SkinMiso Comedo Remover.
3.  Then wash the nose with water and put Step2 for 10minutes.
4.  Clear Step2 away and put few drop of Step3.


As I don't have Step3, I think the results will be a little different.

Here is the the picture of my nose with Step1.  Step contains one nose sheet containing the essence to remove blackheads and whiteheads.  It smell something like a herbal tea which is okay to me.  The essence is just nice and not much extra inside the packet.  The nose sheet is comfortable and soft just like a face sheet mask. I can feel a little tingly sensation that lasted only for few seconds.  It is not painful at all.  The sheet mask will make the whiteheads and blackheads come out.  Mine seems clean so there isn't any gross thing to show you.  I tried to pinch my nose so hard but seriously there isn't any.  So, this Step1 is really effective in making all the whiteheads and blackheads come out on its own.  However, stop or remove it if you feel painful.

The Step2 smelt the same as Step1.  The sheet is also comfortable and soft just like a face mask. This Step2 does cool down and reduce the redness on my nose because I love to pinch my nose too hard =(  .  My pores seems smaller and cleaner too =) .  The nose is really clean.  It even get rid of the whiteheads I have in one go.  I think it would be better if you use it weekly before those whiteheads and blackheads build up.

Overall, I think this is really effective in removing blackheads and whiteheads and much better than Biore pore pack in removing blackheads and whiteheads although the Biore pore packs are much cheaper.
Currently, they have Skinmiso samples pack..  However, i just saw that is already out of stock????

REVIEW ON MONTAGNE JEUNESSE DE CLOGGED PORES STRIPS

there are three of these inside the one pack.

HERE IS THE INSTRUCTION on how to use them
Remove pore strip from inner pouch. Wash face and leave nose wet. Remove strip from backing & dampen smooth side of pore strip. Apply damp side of pore strip to nose and press down for contact. Leave to dry for 10-15 minutes, carefully remove from edges and peel off.

Use strip immediately once opened. Do not use on any other areas of the face or body and do not use on broken skin. Do not use pore strips more than 3 times in any one week. Remove strip promptly when stiff, if difficult to remove do not pull, re-wet and gently peel off. Keep out of reach of children.

Inside the packet, there is about three strips which are individually seals.  The nose packet in "paste" on a plastic and it easy to peal them off and paste it on the nose. The nose pack is in form of soft paper and it will turn hard once it dry up.  Then peel them of.  Since i don't have much problem with blackheads, i tried it on my family members.

So here is the results.  I am not using my nose as my blackheads is not that obvious on my lousy camera.

Removing the peel was really easy and not painful at all.  I can see those blackheads on it.  Not showing the peel with the blackheads on cause it will gross you out.  It does help remove those blackheads but not whiteheads.  I guess it is hard to remove whiteheads.
