Actually by the time I write this Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo, I have nearly finished using this shampoo since I started using it since February 2017.  Shampoo is something that I finish fast since I wash my long hair nearly everyday.

I have oily scalp and with a hot humid weather, my hair gets oily fast.

Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo comes in form of clear greenish gel with some greenish beads that melted upon contact with water.  The shampoo does foam up well and one pump is enough to wash my hair.  It does have slight sharp refreshing scent of peppermint mix with tea tree.

Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo doesn't contain sulfate and phthalate which is great since it doesn't have build off in the long run.  It does washes of easily and leaves no residue.  If you want the sort of cooling feeling, you do need to leave the shampoo on the hair for about 1 minute instead of immediately wash it off.

Another point that some might like about this shampoo is it has a low pH of about 5-6 which is slightly acidic if you are into the low pH thing for skin and now it translated to hair.

Only let the shampoo touch your scalp as if you use it on your normal or dry hair it will dry up and tangle if you wash your hair with enthusiasm like I do (which translated to rough handling of my hair). Some people use another shampoo on their hair since our scalp and hair can be different but that is up to you. Another is using their warming treatment which is like conditioner on the hair.

I could wash my hair on alternate day when I use this shampoo since it does have oil control on my scalp. I normally have to wash my hair everyday with the humidity and the dust.

I don't have dyed hair so I can't say anything about the duration of the colour when using this hair shampoo.

Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo is for someone with oily scalp, humid weather or great for summer and looking for low pH shampoo which is supposedly gentle for the scalp. You do have to use it with a hair conditioner or their warming treatment.

GUIDE ON SHOPPING FOR ASIAN BEAUTY PRODUCTS IN MALAYSIA

Hi Asian beauty products,

Here is a shopping guide for Asian Beauty products in Malaysia.

If you are coming to Malaysia or having overlay in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia you might be interested to shop for Asian cosmetics or skincare products in Malaysia because like many people said, it is a shopping paradise because everything is cheap here.

It isn't the same thing for us who doesn't earn much but well...

I actually put up this guide as a request so I hope that you will find this helpful.  Since I cannot afford to travel to Kuala Lumpur often because of reasons(money problem&the distance of 8 hours away),  I hope for your understanding.

If you are in Kuala Lumpur, you can actually find most of the popular drugstore places for Asian brands.  Most of shopping places are in popular shopping malls such as the Midvalley Megamall, One Utama, Paradigm, Pavilion, Suria KLCC, Sunway Pyramid.  Another shopping place are Queensbay in Penang and Suria Sabah Mall which is in Sabah.

There are information counters in all those shopping malls where one can ask for the direction for the shop. Those shopping malls opened from 10am to 10pm so shop all you want. It is just most malls are really very crowded during weekends XD so becareful with your things.

Daiso-Best Japanese place to shop for RM5.90(price increased).  I have been to the one in Pavillion, Midvalley(2 floor) and Sungai Wang are really big.  Konjac sponge, silicon mask, decant spray bottles, snacks are some of the stuff worth buying.


Watsons- This is Asian drugstore where you can find many varieties of Taiwanese brands, Korean and Japanese brands.  Each Watsons has different kind of brands depending on the size of that outlets.  Some of the brands are in the lowest shelves so look everywhere for them XD. They have house brand as well.  Do check the link for the list of full brands available in Watsons since there are too many of them for me to list them all down here.

However, there are some brands that are only available online such as Cosrx(only saw two of the products in there) because of the limited amount of products. There are also some brands(Canmake, Peripera, Marjolica Marjoca) that are not available online but they available in Watsons outlets.

Hada Labo, Naruko, My Beauty Diary, My scheming, Himalaya neem products, Mediheal Line friend, Dr.Check Hydrocolloid, Miacare hydrocolloid acne patches, Ellips for hair, Mandom Bifesta cleansing water, Coni beauty jelly mask, Leaders sheet mask, Sexy look sheet mask, Lovemore sheet masks, Kinohitmisu health products, Liese hair products, Moist Diane Japanese hair product, Mediheal sheet masks, Freshel are some of the products that you can check it out. Guardian-This is another popular drugstore that has a lot of brands that are exclusive to them.  So, always do go into Guardian to check and compare the prices with Watsons for that extra saving XD.

Himalaya Herbal Healthcare- this is a quiet shop which feels really healthy and so mostly people are afraid to walk in.  However, I said to walk in and find that Neem capsules and some of the Aryuvedic herbs which are available in their outlets and not in Watsons outlets or Guardian outlets.  However, one might have to ask a few outlets as it is always sold out.  I like their Neem mask pack and their Neem cleanser.

Sasa Malaysia- one of the biggest Sasa is in Midvalley so here you can find a lot of products as well.  Mediheal, Dr.Young, Dr. Wu, Haruhada, Shills, Kikumasamune, Oozoo, Pupa, Koji, JayJun, Canmake, Kiss Me, Koji Dolly Wink, Kose, Dejavu, B'Liv, Darkness, Son&Park etc

This is the shopping mall that I always go to. Taxi, bus or train KTM (LRT Station KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur and Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur)

It is very crowded on weekends.  It is not in the middle of the Kuala Lumpur but it is the mall I will say worth to check it out for a lot of the brands.

Midvalley

Aeon Wellness in Midvalley-this is in the ground the same level as where people get their groceries from the Aeon.  There are a lot of brands that is not found in Watsons or Guardian.  There are some Taiwanese brands, French brands and Japanese brands. Senka, Silcot Uru uru, Hada Labo, Herbal Yuan Soap and Kikumasamune are available here.

Inside AEON Mid Valley.  On the other end of the Aeon Wellness in the women's clothing stores(ground floor) , there are some brands tuck away such as UGB(ginseng waterdrop cream).  There are also some high end department Asian brands such as Kose, Shiseido,  Kanebo and Laneige.

Selectiv' by Sa Sa (first floor) - This is under Sasa but they are specially selling Japanese&Korean brands so you find a lot of brands here such Papa Recipe, Canmake, Neogen, SNP, Dr.G, Chosungah22, BRTC, the Face Inc, 3CE, Soo Beaute, etc

Thefaceshop (1st floor) , Skinfood, Guardian(1st floor), Guardian(Lower floor LG/P1/P2),

Belif believe in truth (G-001A)- Korean outlet for Belif skincare. It is more expensive than in Korea from what I heard.

Elianto(1st Floor) -this is a local Malaysian brand that has some good makeup. I don't really use skincare from here but one can check out their eyeshadow =)

HAIRDEPOT (LG/PI/P2 floor - SP1-02)-this is a shop for everything hair-Redken, Wella, L'Oreal, Schwarzkopf, Paul Mitchell, Nioxin, Joico, JS, Midori, Kerasys, Sebastian, Bain de Terre, Senciense, Seah SPA, Shiseiso Fuente, ISO, CO.E Olive and more!

This is nothing related to beauty but the places worth to check out when you are in Midvalley-
KitKat Chocolatory, Koong Woh Tong (reviewed), TNS skinlab (Trilogy rose hip oil)


2. Suria KLCC

Suria KlCC is easily accessible via LRT (Putra line) from KL Sentral (type in KL Sentral and KLCC) .   There are KTM, Putra LRT and Monorail (inside KL Sentral Mall).  The LRT station will stop underground and need to walk 10minutes to go up to the concourse area of KLCC. Then, need to walk to another end of KLCC for the information counter if you want to go to Pavilion.

There is a walkway between Suria Klcc and Pavillion so do use it =)
There isn't much place to shop about in Suria KLCC, There is Isetan with higher ends brands such as Shiseido, Kose, Kanebo, Charmzone

One can actually reach Pavilion by using the walkway between Suria KlCC and Pavillion. Inside KLCC concourse, walk from Maybank (the information counter) until one passed the Aquaria KLCC and go up the stairs (a little a bit outside you can see a board and a walkway.

If you are from KL central, then walk into the Sentral Mall to take the Monorail and take the one Bukit Bintang. Then you need to walk about 10minutes to Pavillion.  There are machine there to put in money to buy the token (blue round). Here is the website

Here they offer the free Wifi at centre court&at the Main entrance. If you have the tourist card, You can shop tax free. Redeem your Tourist Reward Card at Fashion Avenue Concierge at Level 2 or Concierge Desk at Level 3.

This is another huge shopping malls that is hard to reach. One can only reach it by bus (troublesome) or by taxi.  So, I don't go because Malaysian buses (doesn't follow the time). I have only taken the bus from KTM Subang Jaya (need to walk outside and wait (it is not good if it is raining since there is no shelter ).

The structure in Sungai Wang is confusing and there isn't much to shop in there so not mentioning it here. Many of the shops in Times Square are available in Pavillion so I guess it is pointless to make you walk 20 minutes over to that malls XD.

Do you share the same sentiment as I am?

I live in a hot and humid country.  It means that my hair goes flat and oily just after few hours of washing.  To add onto my woes, whenever the wind blow my hair onto my face, it means acne is bound to pop onto my face because well  ...  oily dusty hair onto the skin= acne start having its muddy party.

Hello Everybody Verbena Scalp Scaling Shampoo comes in form of a pump and there is no box.  The pump dispense the right amount of shampoo.  The shampoo has a jelly texture with some beads.  It smells really wonderful like how verbena perfume will be.  I adore the scent of the shampoo.  Since the shampoo is made for dandruff and oily hair type, it has really powerful cleansing ability which does clean my scalp really well.  I have really oily scalp, dandruff problem but my hair is resilient to dryness so this shampoo is great for me.

It does have a cooling sensation during washing and the scalp does feel great after wash.  It has peppermint leaf extract which helps me to prevent dandruff so don't let it go to the face or you will have irritation later. Still, do check the ingredients for ingredients that your scalp might not like.

Overall,  I do like Hello Everybody Verbena Scalp Scaling Shampoo since it does clean my hair well, prevent dandruff and the effect does last two days.   This shampoo does deal with the oiliness, dandruff and limp hair which is great.  It won't be suitable if your hair is not of those oily type and make sure to use a conditioner to prevent 'wires'(rough) hair.

J & E Botanicals lavender soap. It smells so good!  Others might get either the soap, lip balm or nasal inhaler.

Ilsa Soap Wagon for the peppermint essential oil. I love peppermint oil since I can use it on my oily scalp and this help my hair from getting too oily.  It also helps to avoid mosquitoes,bugs and help with acne! You can customize your own soap with a minimum order of 10 bars.

Bonbons for pretty headbands. Others might get the hair clips.  The hair band held my hair off my face and they are made of good quality ingredients =) .


Overall, cute and useful handmade products in this monthly box.

Batiste swept the world with its dry shampoo!  

Thank goodness for the creation of dry shampoo.  Dry shampoo makes it easy for travel and saving the time of washing and drying the hair every day.  My hair gets greasy fast even if it is just after two hours of washing.  It will just go limp.  Since I am away from places like Kuala Lumpur, I went online searching for the best price and I found it!  Do check it at the bottom if you want to know where I bought it.

So, here is a review on Batiste XXL dry shampoo.

Beautiful metallic bottle.  Even the cap is in metallic.  It has good printing and the colour will not come out even so many usage. =)  Love the design too.

This is XXL is not for dry hair type because it does make the hair feels drier.  There is silica and talc so that is one of the reason that this absorb the grease better.  However, it sure suits oily and greasy scalp.

 My hair looks like crap here.  In case you are wondering, I don't have dark black hair.  This is my natural hair colour and I didn't dye it.

Alright, I look like I am 50 years old here.  Do not spray as much as I do here.  I just wanted to show how it looks like.  Sorry also, I didn't apply any makeup here. XP  Sorry. Hopefully it is does not scare the daylight out of you.

AFTER  BATISTE XXL VOLUME DRY SHAMPOO

It feels cooling when you spray it which is nice for such hot weather in Malaysia.  It does make my hair looks bigger just as I had just blow dry my hair.  Best thing is the effect stays for few hours !  Finally, big hair =) .  This is especially useful for someone like me whose hair just turn limp after washing.

It smell nice too since it has light floral scent. Love the scent.

Batiste has other version such as the Batiste "Clean & Classic Original" which is more suitable for pregnant women and mother in confinement.  This is because there is less ingredients.  By the way, I have already check that there is no harmful ingredients in there that can potentially harm your skin or baby. So it is safe to use.

There are two other types for dyed hair that can help cover the roots which is useful for those who dyed their hair and just want to temporarily cover the roots.

I had a wonderful moments with Phyto shampoo Here and I really adore their hair products. They don't just works phenomenal but are are gentle to my oily scalp. LOVE!

As usual, Phyto has such futuristic bottle and I love the design.

The shampoo bottle has a bigger cylindrical look but it contain the same amount of shampoo.Becareful when you pour the content because it is filled up to the cap and the solution is a watery.

Here is the ingredients list.  Phyto doesn't have any artificial colouring or anything that anything ingredients that can potentially harm the scalp or cause sensitivity.  Phytopanama has a ph of 6 -7 which is suitable to balance the ph on oily scalp.

Next good reason is because there is no thickener to thicken the texture of the shampoo which might irritate and clogged the scalp of people who has oily scalp.  So, next time, do check if the texture of the shampoo.

The shampoo foam up very little almost none at all but it does not mean that it is not cleaning the hair well.  In fact, the shampoo really cleanses my hair very well without any irritation.  My scalp is not too dry but very well balanced and I love it!  Even without any conditioner, my hair feels really soft and light.  It doesn't dry my hair at all even if I use it everyday.  How to fall in love with a shampoo that is so gentle, cleanses so well, smell so herbal and fabulous?

The shampoo itself is so good on its own that it save my pocket for I don't need to use conditioner or all those sort of hair mask at all.  Phyto brands also mentioned that there is no need for conditioner or other hair products for oily scalp as it can worsen the hair condition.  How not to like a brand that provide such honest and helpful tips?

I also loses lesser hair with every wash after I started using this Phytopanama daily balancing shampoo compare to before. Love this shampoo very much!

Next time if you have problem with your hair, do check out Phyto brands. Phyto sure has many really good amazing natural products and many usually return after their first try of their products.  I am sold too after trying their products. =)

The shampoo is yellowish clear gel with smell of rosemary, cypress and citrus.  I find it really refreshing since I do love smell of rosemary.  It does lathered but not much considering that this doesn't contain sodium laureth sulfate which is harmful.  It has soft foam since it is made of natural ingredients and rest assure since a lot of foam doesn't mean it actually clean the scalp better.

I find it cleanses the hair well and doesn't leave residue on the hair.  It makes my hair fluffy without the use of conditioner as well.  I think this natural shampoo products are really great even for the whole family.  My family members love it very much.  It is also easy to carry just this one bottle of shampoo for the whole family during travelling =) .
