REVIEW ON LAFINE VEGETABLE FOAM CLEANSING

A foam cleanser which has vegetables goodness ingredients and is good for your skin?

Previously, I have tried the Lafine Vegetable Deep Cleansing Cream as the first cleanser and now this Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleansing which is a great addition to my cleansing routine.  While I do agree that cleanser doesn't do anything amazing like healing the skin from acne, using the wrong cleanser can cause irritation on the skin.  Most of the time, not using the suitable cleanser can cause acne, redness and also clogged pores.

That is why many recommend to use proper cleansing products to make sure that the skin is clean but not irritated.  It is not great when you have great serum but a dirty face to it put on.

So, do put effort into choosing and find a suitable cleanser for your skin type because irritation in form of redness and acne can surface from using the wrong cleanser.


So, here is a review on Lafine Vegetable Foam Cleansing =) .

I do like the simple green vegetables packaging in a tube.  It is so much easier to carry a tube than a jar of cleansing products. The tube is 200 ml which is huge for a foam cleanser so it can last me quite some time until I get a new tube of cleanser.

The cleanser has soft foam which is gentle on the skin.  It has some sort of those corn starch smell mixed with vegetables.  The cleansing power is medium. It does remove waterproof makeup but you need to use more than just a pea size.  It does remove other makeup products easily.

The cleanser contains Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract and Ascorbic Acid which can lightly exfoliate the skin of the dead skin cells.  There are many vegetables ingredients in the cleanser such as Catalpa Ovata Bark/Leaf Extract,Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract, carrot, Oenanthe Javanica Extract, Tomato and Parsley extract.

However, if you do check them in the cosdna, you will see some acne triggers but those triggers are not the same as everyone.  One of it is Lauric Acid which is a fatty acid helps with treating viral infections and help with cleansing.  Another is Cocamide DEA, or cocamide diethanolamine which is used as foaming agent.  It is listed as having high irritation.

So, do check the ingredient list that I have provided above for potential triggers because everyone's trigger are different.

I am not sure what is the PH at this moment but I will update it soon when my PH strips arrive.

Overall, a gentle fancy skin cleanser for all skin type.

With the current trend of associating food with cosmetics, Lamy Cosmetics, a 50 years Korean company which is famous for their 97% rice paper eating sheet mask has comes out with a vegetable cleansing cream sound which is an interesting cleanser.  It is an innovative cleanser which contains healthy dietary food which are cucumber, carrots, tomatoes and papaya.

First, let's talk about the packaging.  The box is really pretty it has pictures of parsley, cucumber, tomatoes and green colour writings. The box main colour is green.  The jar of cleansing cream is also green with beautiful picture of vegetables.  The huge jar of 200 ml can last 30 months after opening.

Cleansing cream first ingredients is mineral oil and the second ingredients is water.  It is the unique thing about cleansing cream.  Cleansing cream is a cleansing product that similar with cleansing balm and cleansing oil.  It has the texture of cream and the ability of cleansing oil.  So, gentler than soap and lighter than cleansing balm.

Other ingredients in this Lafine vegetable deep cleansing cream are from plants such as papaya, cucumber, tomatoes, parsley, Baical skullcap(Huang Qin) vitamin C, vitamin E and some silicone. Do check out the ingredients for potential allergen since mine is not the same as yours =X.

It comes with spatula so that you can scoop the product out.  The cream is like a soft ice cream texture with tiny green and red granules.  It goes on the skin smoothly. Massage until the granules melted.  Then use water to emulsify the cream cleanser.  It does remove makeup except for hardcore eyeliner.  The cream is able to remove the residue of if i go over it the second time and with a cotton pad.   Make sure to use a second cleanser to remove the residue or else you will feel a film left on the skin.  The cleanser does clean my skin well, doesn't irritate as a first cleanser.

The Lafine Vegetable deep cleansing cream smells of apple which is really nice and makes the cleansing experience enjoyable.

Overall, cleansing power is medium, soft cleanser for dry skin type and has vegetables ingredients in it.  I do like it for the soft texture non irritating cleanser.

REVIEW ON MALAYSIA DAISY HANDMADE BODY PRODUCTS-PAPAYA SOAP,RICE SOAP, SINUS SOAP,CLAY SOAP,PEPPERMINT FOOT SCRUB&SEA SALT BODY SCRUB

I think it is time for me to talk about some indie products produced in Malaysian soil.  Daisy handmade brand produces very affordable handmade products locally and they have many great body products.  A friend gifted them to me since I love body stuff and I am thrilled to find some products with ingredients such as rice and papaya.

The clay mask is suitable for those who have very oily body skin.  The clay mask is mix with some other ingredients that you can feel the 'beads'.  So, do not scrub the soap directly on the skin.
If you have sensitive skin, it is not recommended.  The mask is really made from clay as it smell like one XD.  It is really great in getting rid of all the oil, sweat, clean up the pores from underarms for those who sweats a lot.

The Papaya Soap suits those that looks for whitening soap.  It provides exfoliation on the skin to get rid of dead cells so it can be slightly drying if you have dry skin type.  You do need to combine the soap with other products for better whitening effect.

I love the Rice soap the most as it smells like rice bran and it makes the body skin feels soft and moist.  It is not for getting rid of acne but recommended for those looking for soft skin since rice bran is good for normal skin to dry skin type.  I think this soap is great for those that looks for rice products and wouldn't want to spend tons of money on rice products.  I like this soap =)

I am sorry that I haven't try the Sinus soap since I do not have sinus so it won't have much affect on me.
All the soaps lathered up easily with a lot of foam.

Sea salt body scrub in Lavender

The Sea salt body scrub in Lavender  makes my body soft to the touch.  Your whole bathroom will smell like lavender =)  .  The salt is rather soft actually.  They have more other interesting scrub such as mangosteen which smell different XD.

Peppermint foot scrub

The peppermint foot scrub is really fine.  It is easy to wash the products off and doesn't leave a sticky feeling on the leg.  The peppermint scrub smells so nice, minty and fresh.  It cleanses the feet well without feeling harsh.

Overall, I am loving the rice soap very much and the peppermint foot scrub.  Daisy handmade also have products for post-natal which is useful for mothers.

With the current weather in my country, I have decided to give Mentholatum Botanics Oil&Blemish Control Foaming Wash a try since I am out of my favourite cleanser and I do like tea tree inside the cleanser.

The bottle is made from plastic and the foams came out when you press it.  One pump is more than enough for the whole face.  The bubbles is as in the photos quite big but it deflated fast so use it fast.  It cleanses the skin well and smell of tea tree.  It does have this slippery feeling if not cleanse well so make sure to rinse it well. Overall, it a good cleanser if you have really oily skin or combination that is on the oilier side.  Else it will be drying on your skin.  It is a decent drugstore cleanser given the price.

REVIEW ON HIMALAYA PURIFYING NEEM FACE WASH

Himalaya is a herbal brand from India with Ayurveda products. One of the products that I have been using and recommend to people with oily acne prone skin is the Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash.

It is a cheap affordable drugstore cleanser for acne prone and it is one of my favourite cleansers.  I have been using Himalaya and tried many of their products for over 10 years even before I started blogging.  Himalaya came out with many cleansers but I only like this one out of so many of the other cleansers they came out with since then.

Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash

Specially formulated to give you clear, problem free skin, a soap-free, daily use face wash gel that cleanses your skin by removing excess oil and impurities without over-drying. Neem, well-known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem-causing bacteria. Combined with Turmeric, it helps control acne and pimples leaving your skin soft, clear, refreshed and problem-free.

Turmeric


Directions for use:
Moisten face and massage all over, avoiding the delicate eye area. Wash and pat dry. For best results, also use Purifying Neem Scrub and Purifying Neem Mask.


The Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash came in form of gel cleanser and has a low PH of 5.5 which are two reasons why I like it. It smells of neem but it is not sticky at all.  I am not really a fan of foaming cleanser since those irritated my skin most of the time and so gel cleanser is always one of my to go cleanser when I look for one.  It doesn't dry the skin but is able to clean the skin well.  However, it doesn't clean waterproof makeup so use a makeup remover, oil cleanser or micellar water/cleansing water before using this gel cleanser for better cleansing.

The cleanser cleanses my skin well, doesn't irritate and smell of neem which is invigorating to me.  This gel cleanser doesn't foam at all, feels like jelly, it doesn't have SLS, no paraben and contains neems.

As it is only a cleanser, do not expect it to get rid of the acne only with using this as cleanser doesn't stay on the face for more than few minutes.  You will need to use other spot treatment to help getting rid of acne.  I would recommend this to someone with acne prone oil skin type or combination acne prone skin type and if you are living in humid and hot weather.

REVIEW ON CHARMZONE SAMPLES-GINGKO NATURAL FOAM CLEANSING CREAM, ALBATROSS POWDER SUN SPF41 PA++&ALBATROSS WATERFUL CC CREAM

Charmzone is a mid range Korean brand.  They are famous for their ginkgo based skincare products and mostly target people above 40 years old.

It is not a roadshop brand so it is not as popular because of the less mentioned by others.

I got to try three samples- Charmzone Gingko Natural Foam Cleansing Cream,Charmzone Albatross Powder Sun SPF41 Pa++ & Albatross Waterfull CC Cream

Here are short review on them.

GINGKO NATURAL FOAM CLEANSING CREAM, ALBATROSS POWDER SUN SPF41 PA++&ALBATROSS WATERFUL CC CREAM

1. Charmzone Gingko Natural Foam Cleansing Cream
Contains 600mg of gingko extracts
This cleansing cream's fine and rich foam cleans pores, provides moisture while cleansing, and reduces stretching and greasiness in skin with its plant extracts.
150g All skin types

Review: The cleansing cream turns into soft thick creamy foam with contact with some water.  It smells faint of fresh green plants and cleanses the skin well without irritation.  The skin is soft but not overly dry which is enjoyable.  It is a good milk cleanser for all skin type.  The price is of the higher end though.


2.  Charmzone Albatross Powder Sun SPF41 Pa++
Proves its quality with just a single use
A sunscreen which leaves you feeling soft and dry and smooth like being powdered Provides UV protection & functions as a makeup base
Can be used on all skin types.

Review:  It has titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.  It comes up in form of slight yellowish opaque white cream but turn into slightly powdery satin finished after a minute on contact with the skin.  The satin feeling does last few hours under the cc cream and this sunscreen doesn't cause the makeup to pile on the skin.  There is a slight white cast on the skin if I am not wearing foundation.  It smell of perfume which disappeared once I top something on top.
It is a good sunscreen if it is not for the fact that I am easily irritated by the titanium dioxide in it.


3. Charmzone Albatross Waterfull CC Cream
Contains 30% birch sap
Two functions in one touch: skin care & makeup

Can be used on all skin types.

Review: It has titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.  This is supposed to care for skin while providing some for of coverage for the skin.  It has birch sap which is hydrating to the skin and protect the skin from wrinkles and premature ageing.
It comes out in very light brownish cream since it is a CC cream and you are supposed to use the finger to go in a circle until the colour turn.  It was still a shade lighter than my skin tone so I don't particular like it.

Skin does feel moisturise but I guess the cc cream is more suitable for dry skin type than mine.  The coverage is light so scars can be seen through the cc cream.  It has a perfume smell to it to but the smell disappeared after 30minutes or more.

Overall, since I only get to try three things, I think I will try the cleanser which I think is great if I have to choose among the three samples that I have tried.  The other two samples are just not suitable for my skin that don't work well with titanium dioxide.
