Subscription beauty box is a great way to try some latest new products out there but don't want to shill that huge amount of money.  One of the Korean beauty subscription box that has been getting good review is Bomibox .


Products in Bomibox are for all skin types and contain 8 full sized or sample sized products in a pretty box with information card  as well as  English descriptions.  Shipping is free in the US and also offer worldwide shipping with tracking.  Their lowest plan is $38.99 a month.  Monthly subscriptions will automatically renew each month at the end of the month.

So here is a review on this Bomibox February 2019 and the Korean products inside.

Bomibox February 2019 comes in a very pretty pink box.  Mine looks a bit rough up but nothing is damaged 😄 .  Everything inside this box are Korean products because this is a Kbeauty subscription box.  Getting a box is like a surprise for yourself. I was hoping that there is at least some products that I could use because I just don't like opening the box and there isn't 2 products that I can't wait to slap onto my face.

Bomibox February 2019 contain 2 serum/ampoule, 1 toner, 2 sheet masks, 1 acne spot patch, one hair care and one scrub mask.  So, it is 7 full size items and 1 travel size.  I do think this February box is a good value since I would use everything inside the box.

Bomibox February 2019 has pretty good selection of products and brands.  The price of products are affordable in case we like the products inside and just want to get another of it in the future.  It really pains me when I get to try an expensive products but then don't have the money to buy the full size later.  I mean can you relate to it?

The Piolang hair care is pretty great for their price so I am exciting when I saw this brand inside.  Also the Somebymi clear spot patch which I am wondering how does it fair compare to the cosrx clear fit one since they just look almost the same.  I am pretty exciting looking at this Ample:N Peptide Ampoule which has three type of peptide and looks like a bottle of worms 😂 .

As for sheet mask, Nature Republic and JM Solution are both great brand for sheet mask so I can feel safe using them or during travelling. Secret Key Rose toner comes in a huge bottle which is really great for those that just buck of their money.  You can also use it with compressed sheet mask for DIY cheap sheet mask. G9  white in milk capsule serum is a bottle pump moisturising brightening serum which contains milk, squalane, ceramide, rice ferment filtrate and bean ferment filtrate.

The least excitement is the scrub but I am relieve that it is a travel size and from Huxley.  Let me be honest that I no longer use physical scrub with walnut shell powder and sucrose now since my acne prone skin tends to get irritated. I will use it as lip scrub though since my lips are just always dry.

Overall, Bomibox is a great box for people who are new into Korean skincare products, looking for budget friendly value for money beauty box, looking for affordable new Korean products to try and just be smart about their money.

If you are into dyeing your hair then today review is a hair products made with natural ingredients which is really gentle even for damaged hair.

It is the Shikai Color Reflect Gold Shampoo which made in USA since 1970 with natural ingredients.  Shikai Borage Therapy has won award at the 6th Malaysian Harper’s Bazaar Hair Awards 2017.

Hair shampoos for dyed hair are actually very gentle so even people without dyed hair can use it.  It is made not to cause further damaged on the scalp so if you have irritated scalp, you can actually use them.

Shikai Color Reflect Gold Shampoo doesn't come with conditioner because it is already very gentle on its own.  My hair is so soft and silky after just washing with it that I don't even to comb my hair.  It has light citrus scent which is really uplifting for me.  I don't have dyed hair so of course the colour does not show up on my hair. It does make my hair shiny by each wash.  The shampoo cleanses the scalp well, does not leave any residue and not drying at all.  Shikai Color reflect gold shampoo extends color treatments with natural sunflower extract (Heliogenol™), a UV filter with pH of 5-6.

What I like about Shikai Color reflect shampoo is it helps to retain the colour of your dyed hair for longer period of time since it contains natural ingredients to protect the colouring without damaging the scalp and hair.  The ingredients presented in this shampoo are from plants, cruelty free and does not contain animal ingredients.  The plants ingredients are also really on the list of ingredients making it great for vegans and safe even for children hair type.  The shampoo contains pH of 5-6 which is really mild and suitable for our scalp.

The brightening are prepared by special extract prepared from chamomile flowers. Chamomile contains a natural brightener that spotlights yellow and golden tones. The lightening effect is great for blonde, light brown and red hair. The colour will become obvious with continued use. So, there is not bleaching or damage to the hair at all.

Overall, Shikai Color reflect shampoo is safe for colour treated hair and all hair types.  It is also easy for travelling since one only need to carry one shampoo.  I would recommend it to any scalp type, love natural ingredients, into low pH gentle shampoo and affordable hair products.

Timeless 20% Vitamin C+E+Ferulic Acid Serum comes in a nice matte orange box. Keep it inside the box.  The dropper pipette is nice and it comes in a dark blue bottle which you can still see amount of products inside.

Tips: Use this serum once every three days at night.  Each time, 1/4 of the pipette  or 6 drops would be enough. Pat it on your face.  I don't do wait time so just apply moisturiser after it.


For the ingredients, this is a well made stable form of vitamin C since it contains L Ascorbic Acid which is the most research and potent vitamin C, vitamin E and ferulic acid to keep stable.  Hyaluronic acid presented in this serum made it less likely to dry your skin.  Panthenol(vitamin B5) is great to soothe dry skin and often use in moisturizer and to improve wound healing in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.  Benzyl alcohol is used as the solvent because of its low toxicity.  Not every alcohol is bad or drying on your skin.

Timeless 20% Vitamin C+E+Ferulic Acid Serum has watery transparent liquid with slight vicious texture and absorbs fast onto the skin.  There isn't any strong scent to it.  It does smell a little like the vapour of hot water.

I had used it for 4 weeks and it is honestly a really nice vitamin C. It doesn't irritate my skin or cause clogged pores. It does get rid of those red acne marks and brighten my skin.  My skin does feel healthier with smooth radiant skin when I use this.  It is not for getting rid of acne but it just reduce the severity of acne marks on the skin and make those red makers disappeared fast. I feel my skin feels plumper now and less wrinkles or fine lines on my face.

Vitamin C is suitable for pregnant or even breastfeeding women since the body expel it when there is extra. It is also a great antioxidant that will protect your skin from damage and helps to build skin collagen from within. Basically, it is a safe ingredient compare to the retinol or tretinoin.

The price is really affordable compare to what my friends get from dermatologists which some just give mediocre results.  A friend of mine also attest to her fairer skin to using this serum.


Overall, Timeless 20% Vitamin C+E+Ferulic Acid Serum is a really nice cruelty free, vegan,  GMO free and affordable anti aging vitamin C that is safe for mothers. If you are looking to get rid of red acne scars mark or those black one, then consider looking into this.  I think this is love and now an essential in my beauty routine now.

Geo Medical Angel Circle Lens in Grey comes with picture instruction card on how to open it.  So, do look at the card first before opening the bottle.  It also has nice lens case with a cute bag.


The colour I choose is grey since grey looks pretty natural on Asian eyes compared to blue or grey.  The contact lens is pretty comfortable since I can wear it for about 8 hours and it is not drying.  Geo Medical is pretty popular brand for circle lens and I have wear them a few times.  Geo Medical lens are made in Korea so their lenses are safe and pretty good.

The enlargement is pretty subtle and not too obvious. Still some people would ask me if that is my true eyes colour since it looks natural.  I do like the effect on my eyes and make me look good after some makeup😍.

Overall, Geo Medical Angel Circle Lens in Grey is a nice subtle circle lens suitable for stage, cosplay or just to do some Kpop makeup.

Today review is the Eyenlip Black Snail All In One Cream.  It is a moisturiser with snail mucin inside it.  While snail mucin can sound gross, it has been a trending ingredient for more than 8  years now. Considering that the skincare trend in Korea moves really fast, this ingredient has significant importance in achieving porcelain Korean Kpop skin that most people would try to achieve.

After that if the ingredient does not work, the Korean move away from it very fast. So, companies have to keep coming up with effective products and not just some fancy names with nice fancy packaging.  😂  Please I am not insulting any brands or saying one brand is better than the other brands.  I am not saying Asian skincare is better than the western too since I do use western products too.

Usage instructions:
1. After using toner, take an appropriate amount on the palm and spread it on the skin.
2. Use the heat of the palm of your hand to gently wrap your face.   It would help with the absorption of the cream.
Eyenlip Black Snail All In One Cream comes in a black plastic jar with an inner lid.  There is no spatula inside the jar.  There are a lot of amount of products inside the jar.

As for the ingredients it contains black snail secration filtrate of 74%. Chondroitin sulfate which is the mucin component to moisturise the skin and being antibacterial.  Snail mucin is also to soothe speed up the healing of skin especially for dry skin type.

Sunflower oil, olive oil, shea butter, vitamin E, allantoin, beta glucan, phantenol and silicone as occlusive and for moisturising.  It keeps the moisture inside the skin which is nice for winter.

Plants ingredients which are  coptis japonica root extract, tulip, violet, daisy, iris, bitter orange, cocoa, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry and blackberry are all nice ingredients for antioxidant and for brigtening.

There is also niacinamide for brightening.

Eyenlip Black Snail All In One Cream has pretty nice ingredients.  It is just that I would prefer it does not have fragrance inside this cream.  I just wish there is no fragrance inside.  The fragrance is like a male cologne which at least goes away after 30minutes.  It is not too strong but I just don't fancy the scent that much.

The texture is like cheese because of the high snail mucin.   I rub it in instead of patting since that make the cream absorbs easier leaving a hydrated slight dewy skin. Half a dime is enough for my combination skin type.  I also apply a glob over the small part that I pick after acne serum and it does help to soothe the inflammation the next day.  It doesn't cause clogged pores or cause more acne. It is however not for preventing acne.

I tried applying it under makeup and it does not pill up but you do need to wash for it to dry all down first which takes time.

I use it at night as it is a bit too occlusive to use during the day since I live in warm weather with humidity of 92% at all times and I have combination acne prone skin.  It is similar in terms of ingredients and effect of a famous snail cream too.

Overall Eyenlip Black Snail All In One Cream is a nice cream for dry skin type, living in cold weather, loves snail with no allergic to the ingredients, affordable huge tub, for hydration and for someone looking for occlusive.

Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Oil ex is actually 200ml but this one is travel size and retails at RM50 at local Malaysia online shop.  Someone said it is like USD7 in Hong Kong but I have no idea if that is true.

The original full size bottle also comes in a pump plastic bottle.

The ingredients are nice gentle emulsifier, plants oil that are gentle for dry skin and for cleansing the skin without drying the skin out.  The herbal scent is really nice.  Still check out the ingredients.

The oil is clear yellowish watery and silky.  It provides enough slip and remove my makeup easily.  The one in the picture is a liptint that doesn't budge for 24 hours.   It does emulsify easily and does leave any residue or oil feeling on my face or hands.  The herbal scent is what makes the cleansing most enjoyable.  The scent calms nerves and is not artificial at all.  I really love it.  I have been using it for three weeks and it doesn't clogged or irritate my skin at all. In fact, my skin does feel better each time I use this Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Oil ex in my routine.

Overall, Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Oil ex is a gentle oil cleanser that is really worth the rave from Kbeauty skincare lovers.  If you have really sensitive skin acne prone skin, is into Korean medicinal brand or wanting to get a luxurious gift, then this should be in your list ❤❤.
