FOOD REVIEW ON XIAN FU HAWKER CENTRE KLUANG, JOHOR, MALAYSIA

Hi foodies,

Xian Fu Hawker Centre, Felda Bukit Tongkat, 86000 Kluang, Johor

Xian Fu Hawker Centre is popular for lunch in the afternoon.  It is located next to a school. There is a fish pond but I have no idea why the fishes run into hiding seeing me.  There are many stalls that you can choose from and paid only when the food arrived at your table.  Each table has a number that you use to mention to the stall so as it is easier to find you later.

I just order a little from everything.  Price range from around RM6 to RM10.  There is pricing directly on the stalls.

-Johor curry is different from the North Peninsula.  It is thicker, denser and contains some sort of extra spices.

This is noodles with chicken feet.  It tasted alright.  Chicken feet is commonly eaten for to stay young.  I have no idea if that is true since this is a beauty secret passed down for generation.

The bread from the Ah Teng stall is actually very good and as good as some famous bakery that I have been.

Mum got some traditional pastries from a stall too.  It is delicious and good too.

Herbal drink 'Lo Han Guo' Monk fruit

A sweet herbal drink that is really good to relieve sore throat, cough and expelling body heat.

Overall, if you are into hawker stalls that has a lot of affordable varieties for lunch this is one of the place to go in Kluang.

SOUVENIR FROM MOIJA K-FRIENDS KOREA 2022

Moija market which will open twice a year.  In 2022 it was in August and in November.

As for the items and the amount of points needed to redeem the products depends on  K-friends team.  Each Moija market is different.  

In Season 1, there were random box, Kpop albums, Korean food, Korean chopsticks, K beauty (Korean skincare, moisturiser& handcream ), Blackpink phone case, kingdom friends random box, Staying in Hanok experience etc

In Season 2, there were Korean food (Paldo ramyeon, health, ginseng, rice punch ), Hanbok ( traditional bag, clothes, Muffler, accessories ), pasport with norigae, K beauty (handcreams, facemask, essence, moisturiser, toner ), BTS mouthwash .

Both season has minimum points items such as K random box&handcream in Season 1 and Norigae (traditional Korean accessories)  but they get sold out fast. Items for Season 2 need more points than in Season 1 because many of the items are actually expensive especially the Hanbok and ginseng so thus it requires more points to redeem.

Overall, I was happy that I was able to get enough Chingu points to redeem items from the Moija market Season 2.  My family loves the Paldo ramyeon kimchi noodles which they ate it all up because it wasn't spicy.

Here is a shop where locals go for many years.  Here is breakfast at Kedai Kopi Ah Wah, Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia

Today we are going to a local shop where the Chinese locals in Teluk Intan frequent.  It is only available in Teluk Intan for their unique Mee Rebus.  It is actually located in older part of the city.  Dependings on which road you are taking, there are many "Rumah Papan" and "Rumah Kayu" where the very rich in those 70s live.  Some were demolished and some are still standing strong.

As this is Teluk Intan, you will need to drive here.  There are two primary schools nearby.  There is no parking charges so you can eat without worrying about getting fine.  This shop is at the corner lot so it is not hard to find.   People usually come for breakfast.  By 1pm there won't be many people. Close at 3pm.

Try their most famous Mee Rebus or they called it Indian Mee(Hokkien).

It comes with orange coloured sauce, tofu, egg, lime that you need to squeeze, bean sprout (I usually opt it out) and most important the crunchy fried shrimps pieces.

If you have allergies to shrimps, then I guess you have to try some other noodles which are really good too.

Price is affordable but must have increased by the time this video came out.

Suggestion of Usage:

1. Use as All in -One Tone

3. Make your own products

Add 5-10% of the product to other skincare products already in use (toner, lotion, cream) (5-10ml per 100ml) 

Blend more than two different extracts.  For example: 80% Houttuynia cordata + 20% Artemisia Capillaris extract

4. Use as a face mask

Wet the cotton pad with the extract and place it on areas that require specific care for 5-10 minutes. 

5.  Use as scalp hair care

Packaging: Nice elegant box with English and Hangul written in it.  The transparent plastic bottle with black cap contains the extract in it.

Houttuynia Cordata Extract 92.5%, butylene glycol, 1 2-hexanediol.

Paraben free, sulfate free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free, silicone free  and fungal-acne safe (malassezia).

There are only three ingredients 

Houttuynia Cordata 92.5% from Mt. Jiri, South Korea that is extracted using low low temperature contains Quercitrin which has antibacterial&anti-inflammatory for acne prone skin.

Butylene glycol is a humectant for hydration and 1,2 hexanediol for texture and hydration properties.

 

Texture: Watery brown liquid that absorbs easily onto skin.  It has herbal scent of houttuynia cordarta also called heartleaf scent.

Review: My skin like this high heartleaf extract of 92.5% since it reduce redness, reduce inflammation, is antibacterial and reduce acne breakout on my skin.  I find that it also speed up healing of my acne red scars.   Besides, that it reduces oiliness and keep my skin hydrated with the 7skin application.  It doesn't cause breakout or cause any clogged pores.  I applied this extract when I picked on my skin and it soothes my face without any irritation.  Masking with it feels really nice too.  It doesn't cause piling when I use it under sunscreen and makeup which is nice.

Overall: A high heartleaf 92.5% extract that is gentle and soothes acne prone skin.

It uses Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate and Decyl Glucoside which are very mild surfactant for hair care.

Plants ingredients such as Centella Asiatica Extract and peptides which are great to sooth and calm the scalp.

The rest the ingredients are for hydration, emulsifier and preservatives. 

Texture: Low pH of 5.5 to 6.1.  It has very soft bubble from the pump that feels really good on the scalp and hair.  It has light scent of citrus.

Review: It cleanses my scalp and hair well without dryness.  It is easy to rinse it off and the wash last on me for about 3days.  It does reduce my hair fall out and hair doesn't get tangled.  With just the shampoo hair is not so silky but not rough.  It does make my hair looks a lot more with is really good since it volumises my hair.  It doesn't aggravate my sensitive scalp condition or cause dandruff.

Overall: A great nice mild effective bubble hair care for sensitive scalp type.

Texture: Low pH.  It has very soft dense bubble from the pump.  It has similar scent as the shampoo but slightly sharper scent of citrus lemon but the scent is pretty faint once washed off.  The scent lasted on my hair for about two days and gets less faint.

Review: This treatment makes my hairs a lot more and makes my hair looks good.  My hair is a lot silkier and softer with each treatment.  My hair is a lot healthier and has less hair fall the more time I use this treatment.  It doesn't cause dandruff or sensitivity on my sensitive scalp which is really nice.  I wash my hair on alternate days so I use this treatment together too with the shampoo which is great to reduce hairfall and itchiness.

Overall: A nice low pH sulphate free hair treatment for sensitive scalp and hair to reduce hair fall.
