Nowadays, there are more dermatologist brands that are producing skincare products that appeal to the mass market where brighter, fairer and clear skin is always the "In" thing here in Asia.  It is mostly called cosmeceutical which means combining dermatologist approach into skincare products😀.

Dr. Althea is a dermatologist Korean brand offering safe whitening skincare products.  Some of their products such as their whitening glutathione cream are featured in the famous Get it Beauty show😍. 

What I have here today is the Dr.Althea Power Whitening Glutathione Mask😎.  This brand is sure interesting and as I am curious about it myself.

Dr. Althea Power Whitening Glutathione Mask is a Korea KFDA certification whitening anti-aging dual functional mask, which is researched by Gangnam Theme Dermatology Clinic, Korea. Its efficacies are whitening, moisturizing, calming and detoxification. The main ingredient is Glutathione, which is recognized as the world efficient whitening ingredients. It also has anti-aging and detoxification properties, to help whiten and firm skin. Glutathione whitening effect is 8.5-fold than the Arbutin and anti-aging effect is hundredfold than the vitamin. Dr. Althea Power Whitening Glutathione Mask uses a jelly bio-fiber for blocking the active ingredient into the mask, which can carry up to 8 times more essence than silk sheet mask. The Bio-fiber mask contains no fragrance, no hormones and no heavy metals.


How to use:
Tone skin after facial cleansing, take out the mask from pouch. Apply the mask on your face and wait for around 20 to 30 minutes. If there is essence left, use fingers to massage gently for better absorbance.

Dr.Althea Power Whitening Glutathione Mask is a hydrogel type mask which is separated into two pieces which makes the hydrogel sheet mask fits my face well and doesn't slide off. The material is like other hydrogel .

The sheet mask is sandwiched between a plastic and pearl paper.

I can't remember if there any scent to it.

Be careful and place the patterns one outside while the smooth one on your face.

The hyrogel sheet mask feels cooling and it does get thinner as time goes by and so it must remove once it is reaches the point of 1 hour or maybe 1hour 30minutes . 1 hour is quite long and the sheet mask probably will be as thin as snake skin by then 😂.

The ingredients inside are mostly brightening ingredients and hydrating the skin at the same time.  It does contain plant extract such as rose, licorice, grape, coconut oil, green tea extract, Artemisia Princeps Leaf Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, jojoba oil, castor oil and yuzu extract.  There are also propolis, Lactobacillus Ferment,Niacinamide, Titanium Dioxide, Glutathione(100ppm),Pearl Powder and Hydrolyzed Collagen which are for brightening the skin😊.

Search on the CosDNA shows all the ingredients are mostly in green and acne causing ingredients are very low in list .  Still check the ingredients for potential allergen since I don't typical react to sheet mask.  You might not be the same as me so do have a look at the ingredient list😶.

I don't really respond much to whitening products especially sheet mask so I guess other than hydration and temporary brightening,  you won't see me rave about the of 'instant magical' effect some people rave about in their reviews about sheet mask.

Overall, Dr.Althea Power Whitening Glutathione Mask is a hydrogel sheet mask if you are willing to splurge on a brightening mask for a special occasion. It does give a better effect in terms of hydration and longer wear duration compared to the usual paper sheet masks.

COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask uses red ginseng water and the second ingredient is the snail secretion filtrate, hydrating ingredient sodium hyaluronate, no fragrance and doesn't have paraben in it. Allantoin ingredients for anti inflammatory is presented which is good. Still do check the ingredients list of the mask.

The liquid of COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask is red because of the red ginseng water.  It is also interesting concept since I haven't seen any sheet mask using red ginseng water yet.

The sheet mask does have a good fit and it is of medium thickness.  The size if medium and does fit any face type. This one is able to cover my jaws which other sheet mask don't.  It is soft and cling to my face.  There is a good amount of liquid so I use it all over my neck and to apply the essence all over my face after masking.  I can't clearly tell you how it smells like but it does smell a little of chlorine water mix with floral scent.

 COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask does hydrate my skin well since a hydrated face heals better.  It doesn't irritate my skin or cause it to break out which is a good thing.

Overall, COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask is a nice sheet mask if you are looking for some hydration, love the brand and love the ingredients.  Of course sheet mask is not a miracle skincare products but using it provide fast hydration for the skin.

Always21 Nature's Recipe Jeju Volcanic Deep Pore Cleansing Clay Mask contains water as the first ingredients along with other ingredients such as Volcanic Ash and Kaolin that helps to clean the skin.  Since the first ingredient is water, the mask is really smooth and easy to apply.  I am not really doing that well with titanium dioxide in sunscreen but not sure about mask since the contact time is short but titanium dioxide is a great ingredients for some people who do well with it. It helps to heal the skin.  I prefer the zinc oxide, green tea leaves and the cocoa extract💓 inside the  Always21 Nature's Recipe Jeju Volcanic Deep Pore Cleansing Clay Mask but of course it would be great if it is higher.  The second ingredients are Butylene Glycol which common in most skincare products but do check out the ingredients list first.

The application of the clay mask is really easy and smooth😍.  It smells like how other normal clay mask will smell.  The mask dries down easy too and wash off easily too. I do feel my skin is smoother, softer and looks brighter.  However, this might be drying if you have dry skin since I do feel dry if I just leave my skin unattended for 30minutes.

Overall, Always21 Nature's Recipe Jeju Volcanic Deep Pore Cleansing Clay Mask is good for combination, oily skin with pores problem😎.  It will help to reduce skin oiliness and to help clean the pores. Clay mask can also reduce dead skin cells build on the skin so do not use it too much in a week as it can cause over exfoliation.
It is best to combine with a good skincare routine and regular use of clay mask to see results in your skincare routine.

Have you tried Korean,  THELAVICOS Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask?

If you love sheet masks, I am sure you have came across hydrogel mask.  It is a sheet mask that tend to thin down itself to give moisture to your skin.  No, it won't melt down and disappeared like water.  So, it will be very thin by the time you remove it from your skin.  It is also normally use after procedure like laser to cool down the skin in skin clinics or derms's clinics.

It is usually more expensive than traditional paper sheet masks and you can wear them longer than paper sheet masks.  I like hydrogel because they tend to give me faster results but of course such luxury is save for special occasions.

Still check the ingredients first before making decision.  It suits every skin type unless you are allergic to one of the ingredients since most of the ingredients are for hydration.

There are many interesting and beneficial ingredients presentend in this gel mask that will help with anti ageing,brightening and hydration-  licorice, hanbang ingredient(coptis japonica root) ginger, Tamarindus indica Seed Gum,bird nest extract, niacinamide, red seaweed, adenosine, peptides, Dextrin, hyaluronic acid and Schizandra Chinensis Fruit Extract (medicinal plant).

THELAVICOS Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask is separated into two parts so it really fits the face really well. The jelly is in between the clear plastic and white pearl paper. I do take some time to fumble around because I might tear the hydrogel mask.

The mask itself is like jelly, has mesh patterns and adheres to my face well.  I can actually jump and it won't fall off my face.  Of course I don't jump outside outside the house else someone might think I am some a nut. XD

THELAVICOS Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask do have some sort of floral fragrance to it.  It does help cool down my red face, soften it, brighten it and helps to heal it. It  is great for hydrating and moisturising the skin.

Overall, THELAVICOS Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask is great for special occasions since it give fast results in plumping the skin and soothe redness.

Berrisom Soda Bubble Mask Brighten, Berrisom Soda Bubble Mask Poretox Fruit and Berrisom Soda Bubble Mask Aqua Fruit have similar ingredients to each other. The different is the some of the fruits ingredients in the mask sheet. It does have a lot of fruit extracts and state the amount so you do know how of the ingredients are in this packet of mask and not just water.

The mask sheets are actually only for the bottom part of the face. The sheet masks are of green coloured, soft, cling to the skin and some design(spots) on the cheek area but you can only see that after washing of the bubbles and let it to dry.  It bubbles up almost immediately once expose to air so be fast to put it on.  I waited for about 15minutes for the mask to finish bubbled up.  Honestly, I looked like a santa claus or Santa's reindeer 😆. Here you go, a character mask for you immediately. I would honestly suggest to use it for Halloween also as the bubbles doesn't comes down and it is a mask that benefits your skin😉.

I don't really like the liquid as it is sticky if I massage or try to pat the bubbles onto my skin. It is works better if I rinse all those bubbles off. My skin does feel hydrated and smaller pores after that so I guess looking silly does worth it😆?  It doesn't clog but I don't really like the stickiness if you do not rinse it off.

All the three variants give me the same effect so if you really want to try this mask for the bubbling effect, try going for the Poretox one or the Aqua Fruit One.

Overall, Berrisom Soda Bubble Mask Brighten, Berrisom Soda Bubble Mask Poretox Fruit and Berrisom Soda Bubble Mask Aqua Fruit are fun entertaining festival mask that makes you look like Santa Claus, if you can tolerate the stickiness and liking the nice ingredients list.
