iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum comes in a glass dropper style 50ml bottle which is really classy and at the price of USD 15.49 I do think it is very affordable.

Let's talk about the ingredients, there is no artificial fragrant or colouring and focus more on effective ingredients.
The star ingredient which is snail is the first ingredient in their list of ingredients which ensure that you get what you pay for.  They use centella asiatica leaf water to help with the calming and healing.

There are many ferments and plant extract which helps with healing, hydration, calming and brightening.  Ingredients such as Blueberry, rice, licorice, gingko extract and rosehip are great to help with wrinkles and healing the skin. I do think their ingredients are great for this serum.

It contains high snail secretion filtrate so it has some viscosity to it.  It is not sticky, absorb fast into the skin and provide moisture at the same time. I can forgo my thicker moisturiser on days the weather is too hot and humid.  It does help to heal my skin from redness and when I picked on my acne.

Snails is great for healing and for moisturising when the hype exploded 5 years ago.  The rave has not end since snail is still one of the ingredients love by many for the healing ability.  With the high competitive cosmetics in Korea, it has to be something good for it to stay this long.

You can also use this UNIK Black Snail Restore Serum on cuts to fasten the healing process.  One can use it to hydrate and heal skin from over exfoliation too.

While some people may think that snail ingredient is for anti aging, that is not true since snails mucin is mainly for soothing, hydrate the skin without being too heavy and protecting the skin from further damage.

However, there are some people who cannot use snails so do test it on a small part of your face first or behind your ears for a day.

Overall, iUNIK Black Snail Restore Serum is recommended for people who love snail ingredients, dry acne prone skin type and to deal with redness. I personally do think that this serum is great for hydration and soothing ability.  Big bottle with affordable price too.

REVIEW ON PINKPAGE BODYWASH GENTLE WASH

I am really grateful to 0.8L for contacting me if I am interested to try out some product from Pinkpage which produces affordable mild gentle products for sensitive skin.  The simple design is what that got me interest in it.

I decided upon this Pinkpage gentle wash, the other name is the Pinkpage Bodywash and Feminine Cleanser Gentle Wash. Honestly, I pick it just because I wanted to test it out if this Korean brand is going to be different and finally has a body product that can also work as a facial cleanser since it has low pH of 5.

Pinkpage Gentle Wash has a nice pink and black cap which I really like.  It comes in a pump which is convenient and the compact size makes it easy to carry during travelling.  I do like that the name as Pinkpage gentle wash.  No "feminine cleanser" printed there as some people get the wrong idea that I purposely get a product to just wash that part of me when I use it for other reason.  It is product made as body wash and not just as feminine wash.

The first ingredients is water. Although the second ingredient is alcohol it does not burn my skin at all. My skin tend to react now with strong alcohol so I assumed that the amount of alcohol is really low to not do anything on my skin.  There are many other plant ingredients in this product which I appreciate.  The fragrance is really mild and doesn't linger on the skin at all so it won't interfere with other body products. It smells like baby powder.

Pinkpage Bodywash and Feminine Cleanser Gentle Wash is transparent gel cleanser that does not foam at all.  Actually, I do not use it as feminine wash as I use it as a face wash and as a body shower gel for 2 weeks.  It does not dry my skin, leave any residue or cause my skin to break out(I have acne prone combination skin).  The low pH of 5 makes it ideal for those that like low pH cleanser.  The cleanser cleanses my body, leaves it smooth and is very mild.  Honestly, I really like it as it reduces the amount of products I carry during travelling and is not irritating to my skin.

Overall, Pinkpage Bodywash and Feminine Cleanser Gentle Wash is a great gentle product that you can use it as facial wash and body cleanser. It is sure great for travelling.

REVIEW ON SHIKAI TEA TREE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER

I have been loving natural body and hair care from Shikai which is an American brands that produces natural products since 1970 with affordable price.  Their Borage Therapy and this tea tree hair shampoo won award at the 6th Malaysian Harper’s Bazaar Hair Awards 2017.

Here is the review on Shikai tea tree shampoo and Shikai tea tree conditioner.  I have oily scalp and live in a hot humid weather so I use shampoo with natural ingredients to cleanse the scalp without drying my hair.

Shikai tea tree conditioner
Ingredients:
Purified Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol/Ceteareth-20, Glycerin, Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis), Avocado Oil (Persia Gratissima), Behentrimonium Chloride, Amodimethicone, Panthenol, Guar Powder, Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia), Peppermint Oil (Mentha Piperita), Menthol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Natural Fragrance.




Shikai tea tree shampoo is slight yellowish gel which lathered up well on my hair.  The shampoo has natural fragrance of tea tree and peppermint. It does cleanses my scalp well, calm down the scalp and not drying on my hair.  I do feel the fresh feeling of the peppermint which works great for oily scalp type.  The pH of the shampoo is 5 to 6 which is the pH of our skin and prevents fungal on the hair.  The ingredients are simple with great ingredients such as tea tree oil, peppermint and panthenol which is to clean the skin well without sulphate. My hair doesn't feel dry or rough after the wash.  It is not silky smooth so one would need to use a conditioner with it.  I use the shampoo everyday and it doesn't cause damaged hair.

As for the Shikai tea tree conditioner it does smell like tea tree but the scent is disappeared after 15minutes of wash. I don't mind the scent personally since I like the smell of tea tree oil.  It does make the hair silky smooth without weighting the hair down.  It is not heavy and it effect does last for two days. The pH is around 5-6 which it think is gentle for everyday use.  It does soothe my irritated scalp because of the heat.  The natural ingredients from plant are high on the list which is really gentle on scalp.  Jojoba oil, Avocado and Guar are great for moisturising the hair without being heavy.  Tea tree oil and peppermint oil helps with the oil control and being anti fungal those are great to balance out the scalp from irritation and make it healthy.


There is not animal testing and no animal ingredients in their products.

Overall, Shikai tea tree shampoo and Shikai tea tree conditioner are great hair care for oily scalp type.  It is cruelty free, vegans and made from natural plant based ingredients(the plants are high on the ingredient list which means they use a lot of it).  Also, products are affordable and one can just try the minis to see if it works for them.

If their Star ingredient is grapefruit, then grapefruit extract is in written with the amount(ppm) of what they put inside.

Always21 Nature Refresh Mask Sheet fit is alright. It has wider width.  The material is cottony, does not tear up easily and of medium thickness. There are extra essence inside the package which is enough to apply to your neck or just pour it to the sheet mask when it is slightly drier.  The essence is a transparent liquid which does absorb and dry easily after masking.  There are extra liquid so one can prolong the time of the sheet masking session.

The scent depends on which variant you are using. It does have some synthetic fragrance that can be strong to some and stays during the masking time. The scent does disappeared once the essence on the face dries up. Green Apple has artificial scent of apple, pomegranate smells like cough syrup, acai berry smells like those bubblegum grapes, grapefruit smells like citrus grapefruit scent and gold kiwi smells like cough syrup.

Always21 Nature Refresh Mask Sheet doesn't irritate my skin. It does temporarily brighten and moisturise which also mean you do need to do sheet mask daily to maintain the hydration and brightness.

Overall, Always21 Nature Refresh Mask Sheet – Acai Berry, Grapefruit , Gold Kiwi, Pomegranate, Green Apple is a nice affordable sheet mask for every day sheet mask or just weekly mask.

Here is the review on Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose.  It is the other variant of the skin detoxer that is for morning so that your makeup will goes on very well.

How to use:

Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose comes in a nice transparent plastic tube.  It contains the Grasse rose petals and extracts southern France(May roses).  It smells faint of sweet rose floral scent.  It does not smell the same as the green tea one.


As for the ingredients, there are a lot of plant extract for exfoliating the skin gentle and for hydrating purposes.  The surfactant in this Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose are those gentle type of cleanser. Still it is not recommended to leave a cleanser on the face for too long.

I use it on the day that I was not using the green tea detoxer and this one is gentler as a morning cleanser.  I did not use another cleanser when I was using this rose detoxer.  The gelish texture with the rose is really pretty.  It has the pH of 5.5 for those that is about the low pH cleanser.

I use it on my dry face and then apply water when it is 10 seconds later. It foams up like cleanser.  It doesn't dry my skin but of course I have to apply all my other skincare after it.  Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose doesn't break me out but since it is just cleanser it doesn't get rid of my acne scars or other things.  The cleansing power is strong but weaker than the green tea one.  It removed all the sebum proof makeup.

Tips: avoid using exfoliator (clay mask, peeling gel, high percentage of AHA, BHA, retinoid, retinol, high vitamin C or actives) on days you are using this skin detoxer. As for dry skin, it is better if you use only one of the detoxer every 2 days. Using both on the same day can be really drying. You can also shorten the leave- on-time to 5 seconds.  Never leave it more than 10 seconds.  One can irritated skin if you mix and use this everyday along with all the actives.  You can use it as second cleanser if you are using oil cleanser or micellar water first.


Overall, Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose is a nice gentle cleanser for those that needs to exfoliate skin for makeup, don't have much time for other kind of exfoliation or cannot use harsher kind of actives such as retinol, tretinoin, 20% vitamin C, AHA, BHA etc.
