One of the best souvenir from Japan is their unique Nestle Kit Kat and green tea.  It is really nice to get green tea things from Japan.

Packaging: It has a beautiful matte packaging with green tea illustration on it.  At the packaging, one can recycle into origami bird which is really nice.  Everything is written with Japanese. There are 13mini size kit kat inside.

Ingredients:  Sorry I can't read Japanese so can't talk about what is inside this green tea Kit Kat.

Texture: It is wafer kind of biscuit.  Uji matcha green tea is used for this sweet matcha green tea.  There are 3 green tea Kit Kat varities  (Sweet Matcha Grean Tea, Matcha Green Tea, Sweet Dark Matcha Green Tea).  Sweet Matcha has light scent of green tea and there isn't any bitterness in it.  It is slightly less sweet than the one we have in Malaysia but it is still pretty good.

I am sorry for the not pretty look since it melted a bit because of my super hot weather.

Overall: I love green tea and this Nestle Kit kat mini sweet matcha green tea.  It is good to eat it with plain tea that does not contain sugar.

Review: It helps to prevent hangover and getting drunk when I take a packet before drinking session.

Overall: It is a good hangover pills to reduce the severity of drinking too much alcohol.  It is best to avoid drinking too much but if you do then do have some food along with taking BENGJOOYA Korean Hangover cure pill to protect your health.

REVIEW ON KOREAN JINRO CHAMISUL SOJU FRESH

Popular Kpop star, IU model for Jinro Soju for 2020.  In 2019, it was Irene from Red Velvet.

Jinro is the largest manufacturer of soju of 97% spirits sold in South Korea since 1924.  Traditonal soju is an alcoholic drink made from rice, wheat or barley while modern soju uses starches such as potatoes and sweet potatoes.

Today I am going to review Jinro Chamisul Soju Fresh.

The history of alcoholic drinks comes from the distillation method developed by alchemists in Arabia during the 10th century.  Mongolians introduced Soju in late Goryeo to Korea.  In the 19th century, continuous distillation process was invented and so is the first alcoholic beverage plant.

Packaging: Jinro Chamisul Soju Fresh is filtered four times through bamboo charcoal carefully selected from environmentally clean regions in Korea.  This is one of the best original flavor of soju - Chamisul Original.  It comes in a glass transparent of bottle of 360ml, 200ml, 400 ml, 500ml, 640ml and 1800 ml.

No sure it is available in other countries but heard that it has temperature sensitive paper that turns blue once it is cold.  The curved label is in the shape of dew.

Soju is usually served at 8 to 10℃ and not frozen.

*Soju stored from the refrigerator is usually at temperature of 4 - 5℃.  

When you pour it to the serving glass it is usually 8 - 10℃.

Ingredients talk: 

The ingredients inside this bottle are water, rice and fructose.

참이슬 means "real dew".
Jinro use Finnish fructose, which is called ‘healthy sugar’ and is a plant-based sweetener.

The alcohol content is 17.2% which is quite high so one can get drunk if you drink a lot.  Also since it is a simple alcohol it can be used in mixer of cocktails or food with alcohol content.

Texture&scent :  It does look like clear water with scent of alcohol.  The nearest I can describe is the lighter version of dry Vodka.  It does have slight bitter after taste.  As none of my family could finish the whole bottle of 360ml, it is used in cooking now . To people that can drink it is like water.  It also the same scent as the Chinese cooking wine.

Review: It depends on individual preference of alcohol. As I am aging, my taste of drinks and alcohol changed too.  It is a pretty nice social drink if you are into higher alcohol or the scent of vodka or as mixed drinks.

Overall: Jinro Chamisul Soju Fresh is for someone just looking to try out Korean alcohol as Soju.

Astragalus Membranaceus Extract is 90%.  Also known as Mongolian Milkvetch.

It is one of the 50 fundamental herbs used in traditional Oriental medicine.  On skin,  it is to enhance your skin immune system and reduce inflammation.  It is a great skin ingredients for acne prone skin and for sensitive dry skin type.

1, 2-Hexanediol is a preservative that is non irritating.

Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane is unique silicone that works with water liquid so it is a nice emollient.

Hydroxyethyl cellulose is a thickener.
Arginine is antioxidant that increase skin hydration and protect skin.

Still do an allergy test at a small part of your face (ex, at your jaw) before you put it on your face since there are some people that mentioned they have allergies with the ingredients of this toner.  Also there are some people such as pregnant, nursing mother, transplant recipient, autoimmune disease and young children should not use it.

Texture and Scent: To me, it smells of slight sweet herbal.  It is very thin like water with very slight viscosity and absorbs fast into my skin with just patting.

Review:  I have been using it for more than a month as a hydrating toner.  It doesn't irritate my skin and calms my skin redness.  I find it useful to keep me hydrated when I layer it 3times during the day since I am living where humidity is at 92% at all times.  I pat it on my face without cotton pad.  

Using it alone as moisturiser at night isn't enough for my combination skin.

It doesn't cause me fungal acne or clogged my skin.

Overall: It is a great hydrating toner.  Unless you are allergic to Astragalus Membranaceus or

pregnant, nursing mother, transplant recipient, have autoimmune disease and young children.this is a good hydrating toner even for acne prone skin.
