REVIEW ON GARDEN OF WISDOM SALICYLIC ACID 2% SERUM

GOW which is the short name for Garden of Wisdom is very popular with their products for many skin type especially for acne prone skin. It is also because 5years ago they became popular with 'actives' that is also Fragrance free. Vegan friendly and no testing on animals.

Usage:

Ingredients:
Propanediol certified 100% natural, Organic and Non-GMO, Spring Water, Salicylic Acid 2%, Dehydroxyxanthan Gum.

Paraben free, sulfate free, alcohol free, Eu allergen free, silicone free and fungal-acne safe (malassezia). 

Not tested on animals, suitable for vegetarians.

It has a simple straightforward ingredients that is made for acne prone skin.

Salicylic Acid 2% is actually BHA .  

BHA is an actives that is very popular to exfoliating the pores of the skin to clear acne and other skin issues.  It is popular to deal with those clogged pores, whiteheads and blackheads.  2% is a very good amount to deal with acne.

Dehydroxyxanthan Gum is a emulsifier. 

Texture: It has pH of 3.0 – 3.5 which is slightly acidic.  It has slightly viscous watery feeling that absorbs fast onto my skin without any residue.  As for the scent, it has faint scent of citrus which disappeared once the serum absorbed.

Review: I use it twice a week.   It is recommended to wait 20min before applying other skincare products but I just don't have that kind of patience and my skin cannot deal with the dryness.  I don't feel any sting when I was using this BHA.  

I find that it does help to bring up those underground acne and for the existing acne, it does help to clear it up with time (1 week and above depending on your skin) .  It is not irritating or cause redness on my skin.

If you have weak skin&if it sting, try applying it less or only twice a week.  

Some people will purge (the area that you usually breakout will have more acne before it start healing at week 3) .

Overall: It is a gentle BHA for acne prone skin that is fungal safe.  I think it is good for someone that just started to use actives or have mild to moderate acne.
