HOW I MET KOREA

Hi beautiful people,

How do I first met Korea? Kpop? Kdrama? Kfood? Travel?

It is a story of love first sight, betrayal, pain and finally…

Actually, no. I met Korean Ramyun with 3 others. So, it didn’t end well for me.

The second time, we met at Kdrama. No, my aunts fell in love with you. Again, it didn’t work out for me.

After that, I don’t remember if I met Ramyun, Kdrama, Kpop or Kimchi.


My skin was at it lowest when I met Kbeauty. My skin was bad and I was looking for something affordable that doesn’t burn my skin away. I found Korean beauty channel on youtube. It was Get it Beauty. I learnt a lot from the show even when my Korean was zero. I got some very affordable Korean products that I still use up to today.  My first product was actually that Skin79 BB Cream to hide my horrible skin.   I got Laneige sleeping mask and it was game changer.

I got into how to take care of my skin type better, choose products because of the ingredients formulation and skin just got so much better. I started a small blog to share about what I use.  I am not pretty and so is my skin but it gave me confidence that maybe someone out there also share the same skin problem as I do.

Throughout the years, I met some wonderful people who although I haven’t meet in real life we shares so much the same interest on Korean skincare products.

It helps me to gain confidence in my skin since it does gradually gets better. I learn it is okay that I don't look like Kpop idols but I could still share what I like. It has been 10years since.  I am not sorry that I like skincare products and I like Korean skincare products a lot.

The choice is actually really infinite and I always can find something really good even for the low price point.  Korean cosmetics companies lead the world by listening to their consumers of what they really want for their skin and not trying to force down what they think we should use.
