This May, Melvita is proud to launch another new product - Nectar Bright Brightening Concentrate, a targeted action serum that combines the properties of 5 white flowers complex, together with a brown algae AscophyllumNodosumextract, to CORRECT existing dark spots, PREVENT future appearance of dark spots and PROTECT the skin against endogenous and exogenous stress.
WHY DO DARK SPOTS APPEAR ON THE SKIN?
Over-exposure to UV radiation, as well as the passing years, can disrupt the process responsible fornatural skin colouration, known as melanogenesis. This complex cellular process is stimulated bylight: the more the skin is exposed to the sun, the more melanocytes produce melanin to protectit (causing the skin to tan). However, with age, the production of melanocytes can becomedisorganized and some keratinocytes end up containing too much melanin. This, combinedwith a slower rate of cell renewal, leads to the appearance of dark spots in certain areas.
