Today I wanted to share with you some herbs that I have using to deal with acne, pimples, fungal acne and etc.

Himalaya Herbals is an Aryuvedic brand in India and it is commonly available in South East Asia.  I have been using Himalaya Neem Cleanser and their Neem mask for more than 10 years.  I mentioned about their products because I love some of them.  I have bought most of their product myself, don't ever get paid for saying it except maybe some products to review in the future.

Himalaya pure herbs Neem and Himalaya Pure herbs Ashvagandha are two products that I have been using and consuming to get rid of acne whenever they pop up because I do not have much time for skincare, the stress damage my skin and also I pick on my pimples T_T.

Not much is known about these two Ayuvedic herbs-Neem and Ashvagandha.  Compared to other ingredients in the market, there is lack of hype from the beauty world probably because it is plants and is not popularized.

Himalaya Pure herbs Ashvagandha is called as Indian ginseng but then it is unrelated to ginseng. Other name are poison gooseberry or winter cherry.  Ashvagandha is rejuvenating herbs and helps the body to combat external stress, protect immune systems, combat insomnia, anti inflammatory, lower blood sugar, lower cholesterol, reduce depression and improves memories.    With the anti inflammatory and reduces stress, it is used for hormonal acne caused by sleeping late and stressed.  It won't work on those big cystic kind of acne but will reduce the severity.  One is supposed to consume one capsules twice a day for 12 days and then follow by Himalaya pure herbs Neem.  Ashvagandha  is best ingested to reap the most benefits from it.  It does helps to reduce sweating and my insomnia.

Himalaya pure herbs Neem is a wonderful herbs to treat acne and skin problems.  Many find using neem works even for their most annoying acne problem without the burns that will happens with some other skincare products.  After all, Neem is anti fungal, anti viral, anti bacteria, sedative, anti diabetic and contraceptive.  It is not recommended for children and also not for pregnant women.  I was digesting it for a month and also use the powder to apply on my face.  It really works to get rid of my acne and prevent the area from infection.  If you have oil skin, it helps to remove those sebum and prevent the same spot from breaking out again.  You can remove the capsules for the powder but it is bitter so you might not like it. I love using the neem mask as spot treatment at night since it does not burn the skin and it is just pure neem powder.

I did not use other new products when I was trying out Ashvagandha and Neem to find out their effectiveness.  It is a good herb to add into beauty routine since it amplified the capability of the skin to get rid of acne. You do need to avoid spicy food and very oily food when you are using neem to see the best results.

Neem and Ashvagandha are sure great ingredients for acne prone skin.  These two are another products from Himalaya that I recommend acne prone skin to take a look because it is affordable.  I am really impressed by capability of neem powder and this is one of those magic potion made for acne prone skin.

Overall, I will recommend Himalaya pure herbs Neem and Himalaya Pure herbs Ashvagandha for those having acne, stressful life, insomnia and do not have much time for a long skincare routine.  Himalaya is vegan brands and it is 100 percent natural with no other added substance.

REVIEW ON KLAIRS GENTLE BLACK DEEP CLEANSING OIL

If you know what is Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil, then welcome to the dark side of Asian Beauty skincare routine =).

I think there are many oil cleanser out there with different base which is not restricted to just mineral oil alone. Not everyone can use mineral oil based oil cleanser since it can cause break out so some look for other alternative.

One of the those oil cleanser that does not contain mineral oil is Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil.  Klairs is a Korean brand that has become really popular with their Klairs Supple Preparation Toner which is also one of my favourite toner.  I have tried almost everything from Klairs and products that I like are their toner and their Klairs Midnight Blue calming cream .

It is not just a cleansing oil, but the combination of natural black grains. Ingredients extracted from the nature will gently take care of your skin.

How to use
1) Take an adequate amount of Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil onto the palms of dry hands.

2) After massaging, do not wipe off with tissue but rinse off with lukewarm water for 2~3 times.

Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil came out as a liquid that smells really pleasant to me. It smells like some greenish forest kind of scent with hint of sweet berries but since scent is different to individual, I am not sure about how would others like it.  I like it.

The liquid is watery and turns into milk white once I use water to emulsify it.  It does remove the makeup well without irritating my skin. However, I would say that you do need to use a second cleanser to remove the film left on the skin after cleansing. It is oil cleanser that is made for dry skin type so I need to follow up with a second cleanser or else there I will feel a film on my skin.

I do like the ingredients in Klairs Black Deep Cleansing oil since it doesn't contain mineral oil which cause some form of allergic or clogged pores from it.  It contains moisturising ingredients such as Jojoba Seed Oil, Soybean Oil which is one of my favourite ingredients for skincare, Sesame Seed Oil , Black Currant Seed Oil,  Tocopheryl Acetate, Shea Butter , Carapa Guaianensis Seed Oil, Cranberry Seed Oil.  Carapa Guaianensis is a plant ingredient for Amazonian tribes to relieve muscular aches, reduce swelling and soothing for dry skin type.


Overall, Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil is a great first cleanser for dry skin and if you do have a second cleanser. It will be most suitable for dry skin or during winter.

FOOD REVIEW ON ROJAK AH CHAI TELUK INTAN, PERAK, MALAYSIA

Here is a review to a place that many will get recommend when they are in Teluk Intan.

However, the stalls is now passed down to their children generation.  However, still I like to just let you know what I think about Rojak Ah Chai, Teluk Intan since I receive some comments on the food is not as delicious as what bloggers or TV food channel mentioned.

It is by the road side so I don't really fancy eating it at the stalls.  This is my first time having it there so I will suggest you to do takeaway than eating there.

There are only drink and rojak.  So not ad visible to eat that only for lunch or dinner.

Here is the rojak. Rojak is a salad fruits mixed into it and adding a little of the crunchy fried crackers. The one I have here is only the pineapple, crunchy crackers, sliced guava and jicama turnip.  It does have a special sauce in it which is the star of this stalls actually.

Rojak (fruit salad) is just meant as tea time or as snack so do not eat this in the morning as meals or else one will have stomach after that because pineapple does contains acid.  What I like the most about this stall is actually the crunchy crackers that I don't get else where for fruit rojak.

The place is actually near a primary Chinese school SRKJ(C) San Min 1 so it is easy to find this place.

Watsons Spa Warm Eye Mask in Chamomile Aroma box comes in 5 pieces(individually packed). The design is very fancy, vibrant colours with really ablaze colour.  It is really eye catching and who doesn't want to look like a cute pop up star using the eye masks?

The eye mask does pack hygienically so one can carry during flight to do mask along with face sheet mask.  The size is 19cm X 7.6cm . I do find the fit good for my eyes.

Personally, I generally avoid 'made in China' products because they irritate my skin or too cheap. However, I do trust that Watsons have good quality or else I am sure I am going to write a distasteful review on it like I did on this eye product in the past.

Luckily, Watsons Spa Warm Eye Mask doesn't harm me in anyway and I am still here while I am writing this post and have tried 5 pieces of this great treat of a spa warm eye mask.

The first ingredient is iron powder which is exactly the same as those popular magnet mask. However, this is way cheaper XD! However one can't use this as those magnetic mask it contains some other ingredients that heats up upon contact with air.

Activated carbon is an ingredients that I really like to draw all the dirt and other impurities to the surface of skin so it is a great ingredients for acne prone skin and clogged pores =).

Sodium polyacrylate is to absorb up the water inside because no one wants to have water dripping all over the face during the spa session.  The salt and the warming ingredients, water and the chamomile  fragrance. The ingredients are safe and simple.

Watsons Spa Warm Eye Mask heats up immediately upon opening the package. The slight heat is just nice and I don't think it even feel close to burning.  The material of the eye mask is really soft and made from soft cotton.

The Watsons Spa Warm Eye Mask has the heart shape on the mask which make it look really quirky. Both of the Chamomile scent and the Lavender have the same design and colour. The difference is just the scent-chamomile and Lavender.  It does have the chamomile scent and there is a slight dampness on the eyes so it is best to use this mask lying down.  I enjoy the comfortable experience provided by this mask.  The lavender aroma has a nice tone down scent of Lavender which is great to induce sleeping mode.  The heat does last a good two hours and the heat gradually becomes lessen by time.

Overall, Watsons Spa Warm Eye Mask is a great affordable sheet mask for a spa like experience at home. No everyone own a lot of money to visit spa saloon at all the time.  I do like Watsons Spa Warm Eye Mask brand for the quality it provides.

Cosrx Centella Water Alcohol Free Toner is free from paraben, artificial colour and claims to restore, repair and rejuvenate the skin. The ingredient list is short&doesn't contain alcohol.  I have been using this product as toner, in form of mist, mix it with my powdered mask and as makeup fixer for more than a month.

Honestly, I didn't see any different in lessening my skin redness, helping to repair my skin or getting rid of my acne.  I think Cosrx Centella Water Alcohol Free Toner doesn't do much for my skin😑 .

The first ingredient is mineral water and the second ingredient is Centella Asiatica Leaf Water which is 10% and that amount of ingredients are not high enough to make visible different especially with acne prone skin like mine.  Centella Asiatica is already a weak ingredient so having it in form of water and dilute it with more water makes it only slightly better than sky juice?😏

The toner comes form of plastic spray bottle which I do like but since it is mineral water so the toner shoot out in forms of water droplets as well.  One good thing is that it doesn't cause clog pores or acne but it doesn't do much also😑 .

Overall,  Cosrx Centella Water Alcohol Free Toner is for those that want a non irritating spray form of water, loyal number one fan of Cosrx,  having inseparable relationship Mr. Water ground and love Centella Asiatica water 😄 .
