REVIEW ON I'M FROM HONEY MASK

I'M FROM honey mask was 2015 hot sensational product in Korea.  It was 'Honey' trend last year and many companies came out with honey products but this I'M From Honey Mask was the best seller last year along with the Honey potato chips that many love.
Yeah, I know I am gloriously late to this bandwagon since I don't really chase after the latest trend. After all, it is better to give my review after all these raves have gone quiet so that I could give my unbiased view on this product and hopefully no one think I will or should be raving about every sponsored products I get.

I'M FROM HONEY MASK
I'M FROM HONEY MASK
I'M From Honey mask sure smell exactly like the real raw honey and it is hard each time to only put it on my face but not my mouth.  It behaves like honey which is sticky, creamy and feels smooth when I apply it on my skin.  The honey smell lasted the entire 1 hour of it being on my face.  Do understand the 'mental torture' I get from being a food lover?  Also, please it keep it away from your family members that love food because they might think it is honey in a fancy jar and start spreading it on the bread!

It does moisturise my skin, feel smooth and brighten the skin.  Some people might not like a layer of film left on the skin which I use a cotton pad wet my toner to remove them.

I use I'M from Honey mask after I do clay mask to reap benefits of cleansing and moisturising the skin.  I use it once a week since I do not have dry skin so using everyday will be too much.  The moisturising effect last longer than using a sheet mask and it is more economical since you only need a little.  As for my stubborn acne and redness, not much is done about it actually and I do need to use it a few times in conjunction with other products to see more effect to it.

I don't think this product alone is able to get rid of acne.  It is great if your skin likes all those ingredients, good for moisturising dry acne skin type, during winter.
The I'M FROM contains honey, shea butter, bee venom, snails and a lot of plant oils and moisturising ingredients so if you are clogged prone do check out the ingredients first.

TIPS:DO AND DON'T DURING YOUR MONTHLY CYCLES

Sorry,  this is a girl thing which might be some embarrassment to read for male out there.  I wrote this to share about the Asian stuff which some people out there might be curious to know.  Personally, I have terrible cramps during my monthly thing so there are some things that I do and don't do to make the pain bearable.  Else I will be on the floor and the pain is only temporary eased after I eat painkillers.  My mum is a traditional minded person and so she doesn't allow me to have painkillers.  Instead these are the few things that helps.

Traditional Chinese medicine talks about 'cold' and 'warm'.  It is not the water 'hot' or the ice 'cold' thing but a principal of every food has it 'aura'. Don't ask why the food is considered 'cold' or 'hot' because that is how it is.  The Chinese believes about the balance of Ying Yang.  So, when woman is having monthly thing, it is consider 'weak' and so should avoid some certain food.

TIPS:DO AND DON'T DURING YOUR MONTHLY CYCLES

Don't

1. Don't drink green tea
- green tea is 'cold' so it will makes the stomach area 'cold' and make the blood clot more which is really not good as it will cause you more pain.  It is good to drink green tea on other normal days but avoid this when you have your monthly thing.

2. Don't wash your hair on your first day
-the cold air can get into the pores of the head and make your body more prone to pain.  This is true if you do not want to have frequent headaches or migraines.  If you wash it on the second day, make sure to dry it as soon as possible.  Don't sleep with your hair wet.

3. Don't bath with cold water
-bath with warm water to encourage blood flow. cold warm makes the stomach area cold so if you are not in pain the first day, you will the next month.

4.  Don't eat something sour (no lemon or tamarind)
-In Malaysia, we have this Laksa which is spicy sour so this food is supposed to cause more 'bleeding' and pain.  Yeah, I accidentally drank this and almost die 'bleeding' a lot for 7days.

5. Don't eat anything 'iced' or from the fridge directly  or ice
-it is considered that anything from the fridge has a 'cold' air to it so cold stuff is not good for you.  Cooked food are different.  SO, say goodbye with your cold bubble tea or ice cream for few days

6. Don't sleep in air conditioner or on the floor
-sleeping in air conditioner means that you are putting your body along with all the 'cold' stuff and make your body even 'colder' when you are supposed to warm up your body.  it is the same as the floor because floor has 'water' that gets into the skin and hurts the body.  There is where the cramp comes.

Do
1. Drink warm ginger tea, eat dark chocolates and grapes
-ginger tea is 'warm' so it helps with the blood flow. You are not supposed to drink ginger tea if you are going for surgery.  I am not joking here. ginger is similar to ginseng.  It is not for one who is going for surgery (not matter what surgery it is).
You can drink plain water but make sure it is warm plain water and not those straight from the fridge.
Dark chocolates and grapes helps with the pain.  SO, get those food ready every month.  Fresh ginger is not as useful as the yellow powdered dry ones.  Good dry powdered warm ginger are warm the moment you drink. You can actually feel the warm fuzzy feeling going into the throat.

2. Wear socks
-the foot is the part which is 'cold' so wear socks to sleep. You can apply some 'warming' balm on your soles and your stomach.  The only warm balm that I like is the one from Thailand(Siang Pure Balm). The balm is in a 12g glass jar and aluminum cap.  If you are lazy to wear socks, then just make sure your blanket is thick enough to warm your leg.

3. Eat more warm food
-Of course with this, I don't mean heated food from the fridge. Try some sandwiches, meat, bacon or red meat.  We generally need more 'warm' food so it is meat.  Lesser vegetables since those are cold.

4. Wear clothes that covered the shoulder area and stomach
-Basically when we have the monthly thing, the body 'cold' and weak so don't exposed those 'weak' area to coldness which can disrupt the 'Qi' around the body.  Even if it is so warm and humid in Malaysia, I will wear long sleeves and thick clothes on the few days else I can become sick easily.

5. Eat nutritious food the day after your monthly cycles
-it is the best time to take some 'warm' herbal food the day after your monthly cycles to help replenish your body.  In Indonesia, they eat 'Jamu' while in here the Chinese will drink some sort of herbal soup.  It is also for young looking skin.  Most people will drink those red dates, ginseng, some herbs plus black chicken.  If you are rich, probably sea cucumber or ginseng. XP  Poor people like me will just have to make do with eggs, meat and ginger.  It isn't as fantastic as ginseng but it is still better than nothing.

I think that are the tips that I wanted to share with my dearest readers.  All the advices I talk about comes down to the same thing-keep your body warm with 'warm' food and avoid 'cold' stuff because those disrupt the blood flow and the thing that cause cramps.  Everyone has different 'Qi'. I have friends who don't fall sick or have cramps unlike me who is a sick fragile person.  Just like acne, I wish that I can just use plain water for my face or do not need to deal with all these monthly pain thing.

Do let me know if you have any question for me or any tips that you want to share here. Thank you.

REVIEW ON MENTHOLATUM BOTANICS OIL & BLEMISH CONTROL FOAMING WASH

Hi Beauties,
I have posted about the launch of Mentholatum skincare products and products from them are affordable and decent.

With the current weather in my country, I have decided to give Mentholatum Botanics Oil&Blemish Control Foaming Wash a try since I am out of my favourite cleanser and I do like tea tree inside the cleanser.

MENTHOLATUM BOTANICS OIL & BLEMISH CONTROL FOAMING WASH

MENTHOLATUM BOTANICS OIL & BLEMISH CONTROL FOAMING WASH

MENTHOLATUM BOTANICS OIL & BLEMISH CONTROL FOAMING WASH
MENTHOLATUM BOTANICS OIL & BLEMISH CONTROL FOAMING WASH

It contains Ylang-Ylang and Tea Tree Extracts as the main ingredients as well as Wild Pansy that are effective in curbing blemishes.Skin will feel revitalised and refreshed after a wash. The scent of lemongrass is simply refreshing and it calms you after a long day at work. Suitable for oily and combination skin.

Ingredients:
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine/Water, Lauric Acid, Glycerin, Alcohol, Potassium hydroxide, Myristic Acid, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Fragrance, Methylisothiazolinone/Water, Disodium EDTA, Cananga Odorata Flower Extract / Water / Sodium Benzoate/ Citric Acid, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract/ Water / Sodium Benzoate/ Citric Acid, Betaine, Glycerin / Water / Viola Tricolor Extract / Sodium Benzoate/ Potassium Sorbate, Water/ Butylene Glycol / PEG-60 Almond Glycerides / Caprylyl Glycol / Glycerin / Carbomer/ Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid / Oleanolic Acid

MENTHOLATUM BOTANICS OIL & BLEMISH CONTROL FOAMING WASH
MENTHOLATUM BOTANICS OIL & BLEMISH CONTROL FOAMING WASH

The bottle is made from plastic and the foams came out when you press it.  One pump is more than enough for the whole face.  The bubbles is as in the photos quite big but it deflated fast so use it fast.  It cleanses the skin well and smell of tea tree.  It does have this slippery feeling if not cleanse well so make sure to rinse it well. Overall, it a good cleanser if you have really oily skin or combination that is on the oilier side.  Else it will be drying on your skin.  It is a decent drugstore cleanser given the price.

PH:6-7 (just a guess because I am using unreliable ph tester)

REVIEW ON SUNTEGRITY "5 IN 1" NATURAL MOISTURIZING FACE SUNSCREEN - TINTED , BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 30

Dermatologists have stress enough of wearing sunscreen to protect the skin.
However, many physical sunscreen out there have titanium oxide that many are allergic to or just make you look like dead vampire with the white cast.

Here is a mineral sunscreen that is moisturising, provide a little coverage with no white cast and has ingredients for anti-aging.

HOW TO USE ACTIVES, VITAMIN C, BHA,AHA&RETINOL. DO YOU NEED WAIT TIME?

At one point of time, when you have your basic skincare routine, you will be probably interested in using actives such as AHA, BHA, retinol, retinoid or vitamin C.  Actives are special treatments to rejuvenate the skin.  While there are many AHAs (Glycolic acid, Mandelic Acid etc), BHA, retinoid and vitamins out there, it is hard to know what to do with all these shiny new things.

You might be wondering on how to use those actives since there are many opinions around.

This is a guide on using vitamin C, BHA,AHA and retinol.
Retinoid such as (tretinion, adapelene, tazorac etc) are used differently so it is not included in this guide.  If you are interested in retinoid HERE is the other post on it.

HOW TO USE ACTIVES, VITAMIN C, BHA,AHA&RETINOL. DO YOU NEED WAIT TIME?

1.  Do you need a PH adjusting toner?

Ph adjusting toner means toner that has pH lower than 5. Water above pH 7 and cleansers above PH7 are more irritating to your skin.  Then you will need pH adjusting toner to balance out the high pH of 8-9.

If you already have a low pH cleanser or already have tap water in pH 6-7 but still want to use a pH adjusting toner, make sure that you are not using too many strong actives at once. Keep only one active or you will exfoliated your skin too much because pH adjusting toner makes 'actives' penetrate your skin so well that it is likely your skin will become irritated.  For some people, the over-exfoliation will not probably be visible to your naked eyes after one day of usage but only seen over a course of time which is usually after 1 month.

2.  Do you need wait time?

The wait time is proposed for the actives to do its job of exfoliating the skin.  Some people do the 20-30 minutes of wait time. Also, there are some saying that if you do not have a low pH cleanser, you should wait for 30 minutes so that the skin could return to the normal pH of 5.5. (I couldn't read where is the journal that states that)

In my opinion, using a cleanser that is gentle to your skin is more than enough since I don't have the time to wait 30 minutes for my face or else it will  be as dry as desert.  Next thing, throwing actives on my face is just probably going to shock my skin more.  Sorry, that is not a life I am about.

Even some low pH cleanser can irritate your skin so choose your cleansers well.

So, there are two ways to use actives. So, according to your preference, situation, skin type and needs.  Do read both up first before accusing me of anything. I have tried both methods myself.

A)Wait time of (10-30minutes)&after cleanser

Cleanser>(ph lowering toner) > actives> (wait 20minutes) hydrating toner>moisturiser

This is just basic routine for me to show you the 'wait time' thing. Use this to make your actives more effective. The actives should also have the right pH and be apply right after the cleanser.

This will amplify your actives and makes it strong since application on damp skin makes everything penetrate better.

The wait time is good if you are using lower concentration actives, want to make your actives work as strong as the one in the clinics, have a skin that already reach plateau of the level of sensitivity to actives, skin that is probably resistant to all sort of lower concentration of actives and already expert in skincare to know what you are doing.  Also, people with these routine do not do all these actives everyday. (unless you have animals hide as skin)

Keep in mind that low PH toner combine with actives in high percentage, using a few actives in the same routine and doing the wait time can cause irritation.

B. No long wait time&actives is place in serum step

Cleansing> hydrating toner > actives >(dry 5 min) > moisturiser.

This is for people who are new to actives, using a high percentage of actives, have sensitive skin and probably do not have the luxury of time for waiting 30min doing nothing. It is less irritating because you buffer it down and it won’t risk your skin even if have forgotten that you had actives the day before or use actives more than it should be.

You would probably won't see results as fast as the A step since you already tone your actives down but then you won't probably end up with red, dry and angry skin.

So, that is. I would prefer you not to start with so many actives like retinoid, vitamin C, AHA and BHA all once because once you over-exfoliate your skin, you will need to stop those actives and nurse your poor skin to health which will surely take time.  Try to start with only one or two actives at a time unless you have really thick skin (I mean it literary).

Again, be discreet in using actives and there is no need to rush it. Skin changes over time and the reason that some people develop irritation after few months of using actives. Always check on your skin and be gentle to it.  No use of forced love on your skin to see fast results.

For those who are new to Asian skincare, here is a visual guide of Asian Skincare products.

Ps: I am not here to criticize anyone or tell you that you MUST do this. I am just sharing my personal opinion it. Besides, do not ask me to get whatever pieces of research to back it up because science changes and there are many contrary opinion even on one tiny question.

REVIEW ON HIMALAYA PURIFYING NEEM FACE WASH

Himalaya is a herbal brand from India with Ayurveda products. One of the products that I have been using and recommend to people with oily acne prone skin is the Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash.

It is a cheap affordable drugstore cleanser for acne prone and it is one of my favourite cleansers.  I have been using Himalaya and tried many of their products for over 10 years even before I started blogging.  Himalaya came out with many cleansers but I only like this one out of so many of the other cleansers they came out with since then.

HIMALAYA PURIFYING NEEM FACE WASH

HIMALAYA PURIFYING NEEM FACE WASH

Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash

Specially formulated to give you clear, problem free skin, a soap-free, daily use face wash gel that cleanses your skin by removing excess oil and impurities without over-drying. Neem, well-known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem-causing bacteria. Combined with Turmeric, it helps control acne and pimples leaving your skin soft, clear, refreshed and problem-free.

Key Ingredients:
Neem
Turmeric

Directions for use:
Moisten face and massage all over, avoiding the delicate eye area. Wash and pat dry. For best results, also use Purifying Neem Scrub and Purifying Neem Mask.

The Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash came in form of gel cleanser and has a low PH of 5.5 which are two reasons why I like it. It smells of neem but it is not sticky at all.  I am not really a fan of foaming cleanser since those irritated my skin most of the time and so gel cleanser is always one of my to go cleanser when I look for one.  It doesn't dry the skin but is able to clean the skin well.  However, it doesn't clean waterproof makeup so use a makeup remover, oil cleanser or micellar water/cleansing water before using this gel cleanser for better cleansing.

The cleanser cleanses my skin well, doesn't irritate and smell of neem which is invigorating to me.  This gel cleanser doesn't foam at all, feels like jelly, it doesn't have SLS, no paraben and contains neems.

As it is only a cleanser, do not expect it to get rid of the acne only with using this as cleanser doesn't stay on the face for more than few minutes.  You will need to use other spot treatment to help getting rid of acne.  I would recommend this to someone with acne prone oil skin type or combination acne prone skin type and if you are living in humid and hot weather.

Do check out the ingredients incase there is something that you are allergic too.

WHAT ARE OIL CLEANSER, ACTIVES,TONER, BOOSTER, LOTION, EMULSION, CREAM, ESSENCE, SERUM, AMPOULE, FINISHER, HYDROGEL, SKIN BALANCER, SKIN OR PEELING GEL?

This is a pictorial guide of my top post about skincare products(serum, essence, toner).  Since that post is already too crowded with information, I guess I am doing this on a separate post. After all, some pictorial guide is fun right?  You can still visit the old post because I have written for products in length compare to this one.

However, if you like colourful ones here it is =) .

WHAT ARE OIL CLEANSER, ACTIVES,TONER, BOOSTER, LOTION, EMULSION, CREAM, ESSENCE, SERUM, AMPOULE, FINISHER, HYDROGEL, SKIN BALANCER, SKIN OR PEELING GEL?

So, here is all the information on the skincare that is currently in the market.  Those in the bubbles are in the same categories. Actives is actually under special treatment since some of them comes under serum.

PS: I am sorry that I forgot to include sunscreen/sunblock inside it T_T  . Please add in Sunscreen which some called it 'sun cream'.

WHAT ARE OIL CLEANSER, ACTIVES,TONER, BOOSTER, LOTION, EMULSION, CREAM, ESSENCE, SERUM, AMPOULE, FINISHER, HYDROGEL, SKIN BALANCER, SKIN OR PEELING GEL?
toner

Okay, many people get confuse all over the weird terms when it is actually toner.  They all have the same texture which is watery.  If you are not sure if it is lotion moisturiser or lotion toner, check out the texture.

Toner with alcohol is usually clarifying so do not use it to do mask sheet!
Toner without alcohol can be use for sheet mask and it is called hydrating toner.

WHAT ARE OIL CLEANSER, ACTIVES,TONER, BOOSTER, LOTION, EMULSION, CREAM, ESSENCE, SERUM, AMPOULE, FINISHER, HYDROGEL, SKIN BALANCER, SKIN OR PEELING GEL?
essence&ampoule

Essence, ampoule &serum are in the same special treatment categories but each of them has different texture and concentration.  They target special issues.

Ampoules usually come in vial&used in bridal makeup since they provide the fastest result.

Order of concentration
Most concentrate-ampoule
2nd best concentration- serum
3rd best concentration-essence

There are essence which is like water-people called it treatment essence which has fermented products.
other essence are cream or oil based.

WHAT ARE OIL CLEANSER, ACTIVES,TONER, BOOSTER, LOTION, EMULSION, CREAM, ESSENCE, SERUM, AMPOULE, FINISHER, HYDROGEL, SKIN BALANCER, SKIN OR PEELING GEL?
serum

Serum also has cream, water or even oil based.

There are some ampoules, serum and essence that are different from what you see here because the brands use different name for 'marketing strategies'. People will be more inclined to buy something when it is written ampoule than when it is essence.  Of course people will think that it is a great deal to spend little to get 'ampoule' but what you get is actually 'essence'.

WHAT ARE OIL CLEANSER, ACTIVES,TONER, BOOSTER, LOTION, EMULSION, CREAM, ESSENCE, SERUM, AMPOULE, FINISHER, HYDROGEL, SKIN BALANCER, SKIN OR PEELING GEL?
Moisturiser
There are many moisturisers out there and I am glad that I no longer have to suffer only on those thick cream mess.

Gel moisturiser usually contains silicone.
Emulsion is a light moisturiser and usually comes in a bottle. It is suitable for oily skin type.
Lotion is similar to emulsion.
Cream is usually for dry skin type and usually comes in a jar.
Snail cream is actually gel cream so it doesn't really comes under cream categories.

So does it make things easier to understand? So look into the categories before hauling everything and realise that it is actually under the same categories.  I hope that this is helpful. =)

Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream (BB cream) SPF 40 Pa++  is supposed to give you the 'mochi' skin.  Last year, it was mentioned all over social medias and got a lot of rave from bloggers and youtubers and as always I raised an eyebrow because well...I am a skeptical person.

A very lovely kind reader had sent me a care package in January and in the box was a tube of Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream (BB cream) SPF 40 Pa++ .  I know that this is a 'reviewed to death' product and  I am just adding to the list.  However, if you are interested to know more about this Klairs BB cream performance from a makeup amateur like me, then play on XP.

Seriously, I am not good in makeup and can get never draw the eyeliner evenly without poking myself so you get that point out there right?  That is also the reason I prefer skincare over makeup.

The cream is quite light and so if you have fair skin, this is probably going to work for you.  If you are more than yellow, this is just going to make you look 'white'.  There is only one colour to it so it won't probably suit anyone on the tanner side.

Here is the cream on my hands which has too many lines so you get it?  If you have a lot of lines, it is going to settle on it and won't cover the lines.

This is my bare face. Yes, contrary to what people think, I don't have perfect skin.  As you will notice, I have redness and freckles on my face.

I am terrible at makeup and the only way for me to apply is by using sponge or a puff.  This is just one layer so it is not enough for coverage.  The coverage is build able so use  more or a concealer to have better coverage.

This is my face with the Klairs BB cream, lipstick, eyebrow and some eyeshadow.  My face is fairer because I did not apply it on my neck. XP   How do I looked?

Although the BB cream contains SPF, it is not enough to protect you, so make sure to use a separate sunscreen.

If you do not have any problem with your skin, this will work wonderfully but for others, concealer is a must since the coverage is just medium at most to me.  Besides,  I am using wet sponge.  The BB cream does settle on my laugh lines ( I have a really deep ones) and so far no BB cream can help me to cover those up.
My neck looks darker because I do not use BB cream the on my neck and the lighting.

The BB cream is not sweatproof or waterproof so it comes off when I use my fingers to touch it throughout the day.  The texture is creamy and smooth.  It dries down to satiny feeling but will crease if your skin is not moisturised enough. The BB cream sure smell like the Klairs Supple Preparation toner which has sulfur smell to some or the flowery fragrance and the smell only disappeared after an hour. Since I use wet sponge, the smell disappeared faster and the creamy texture turn matte.  If you want the glowy look, then apply it with fingers or cushion puff or add a drop of facial oil.

Overall, it is an okay BB cream if you do not have any major skin issues or obvious scars.  If you have skin dryness or oily skin, do make sure to prepare your skin with good skin routine.  Some people mix it with a drop of oil.  You can also warm two drop of facial oil on your palm and apply it on your face after moisturiser for the BB cream to adhere well on the face.  It is best to avoid vaseline since it will stick to you face like grease XP.

Do have a look at the ingredients because anything can clog anyone skin. So, have a look incase there are some ingredients that you are suppose to avoid.

Also, you might need to do some touch up throughout the day especially in my humid and warm weather.

ASIAN BEAUTY SKINCARE TIPS AND BEAUTY TRENDS FOR YOUTHFUL SKIN

Beauty and skincare trends change from time to time.  I notice similar trends following beauty bloggers and in beauty shows this few years.

Most of these are not really new but worth to ponder upon for there is something new to learn each time. After all, we don't want to cake our face with lots of makeup if our skin is well take care of.  I am always envious of people without skin troubles and they tell you that they just use water! Sob sob, if you are with me, then here are the trend that is becoming more and more popular with beauty enthusiasts.

1. Beauty Food

Most celebrities, youtuber and people attest their beautiful an youthful skin with food that they eat.  What I notice from the trend is the consumption of healthy food containing antioxidant in the morning or through the day.  It is also to avoid having constipation that can cause the waste to stay inside the body.  My Asian mum doesn't care about skincare at all but put high emphasis on what goes into the body.

I personally have few favourites that I have been drinking and sharing with people around me.  These food need little knowledge of cooking compare to the sea cucumber recipe or the Dragon Dew Cake .  It is also not as expensive as ginseng, bird nest or sea cucumber.

Japanese Green tea
Japanese Green tea

Japanese Green tea
I drink this daily to reduce acne actually and I like the taste =) .  You are supposely to take out the green tea bag after 1 min and not wait more than 2minutes else it will turn yellow.

Hibiscus tea (Roselle)
Hibiscus tea (Roselle)

Hibiscus tea (Roselle)
It is more commonly know as hibiscus tea but there are many plants under the Hibiscus.  So, the one people use for tea is actually Roselle to be exact.  Here in my country, we called it the fake Ribena.  It tastes like sour grape juice.  It is sourish and the stronger the colour, the better the taste to me.  It is better to drink it warm but most people drink it cold here which might lessen the effectiveness.

2. Minimalist skincare

SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR ANTI AGEING

While in the past there was recommendation of using 15-20 products in one skincare routine, the trend has changed to using minimal effective products for the skin.  Who have the time to spend 3hours in one single routine for their skincare routine when we barely have time to remove those makeup at night?  Not to mentioned I forgot what is my next products to use since I barely remembered what I eat yesterday.
Most people find using 4-6 products (doesn't add in cleansing products) are enough to cover their needs, shorten their time and lessen the irritation since we don't use everything from just one brand and one line.  Some products can cause irritation in long term especially if you have acne prone skin so it is easier to figure it out if you have shorter skincare products than an elaborate 15-20 products. However, if using 20 products is your choice, you don't have to listen to me because I am just sharing my observation from the current trends.
One of the products that is in the beauty arsenal is moisturiser. Get one that will moisturise your skin according to your skin type as moisturised skin prevents wrinkles from forming faster and thus a younger looking skin =) .  Also get a serum than using a whole bunch of 7 serum that works the same.

3.Use a sunscreen
This is a no brainer.  Many skin expert, doctors and dermatologist will recommend you to use a sunscreen to protect the skin from damage from the UV rays.  The sun rays are number 1 cause of skin aging and skin cancer.  SO, protect your skin!  Get sunscreen that your skin agrees to.  At least there more sunscreen to choose from compare to 10 years ago where the only sunscreen that is supposed to protect me caused me clogged pores and more acne.  I avoided those messy sunscreen until some Japanese brand came out with better formulation sunscreen.
It is better to prevent then to repair the damage later.  Not to mention the amount of money save with using sunscreen now!

4. Focus on cleansing products

Cleansing Asian skincare products

Just like moisturising and sunscreen, the focus is on cleansing the skin well to prevent clogged pores and other skin problems.  Even if you do not wear makeup, you do need to clean the face well from sunscreen as sunscreen residue can cause clogged pores and acne if left on the skin.  Please do not wear sunscreen at night if you are going to sleep as it clogged the skin!

It is commonly that most people do the double cleansing.
1st cleanser which are either oil cleanser, balm cleanser or micellar water.
2nd cleanser which are foam cleanser, gel cleanser or milk cleanser.
3rd cleanser-organic soap bar which some use it to wash their hand and apply the foam on the face in between 1st cleanser and 2nd cleanser

Wow, I guess you are probably shocked at using so many cleanser but that is the amount of effort put into cleansing now.  Organic soap are different from the regular harsh bar soap so they are more expensive than regular soap.  Choose your cleanser well since some cleanser can irritate and cause clogged pores.

So, I hope that there is something new after going through this long winded post.  You are entitled to your own opinion even if you do not agree with this 'trend'.  After all,  it is just opinions and each of us will want to maintain youthful skin as long as possible without too much effort.
