REVIEW ON ALTHEA REAL FRESH SKIN DETOXER ROSE

Here is the review on Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose.  It is the other variant of the skin detoxer that is for morning so that your makeup will goes on very well.

Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose is a collaboration between Althea and Get It Beauty.  If you have not watch it yet, it is the Top Korean beauty show that features all the latest and amazing products.  I even learn a lot of cheaper dupe of the high end products from there.

How to use:
On dry skin, apply a relatively thick layer and leave on for 10 seconds. Add on a little bit of water and very gently massage in circular motions before rinsing off with water.

Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose comes in a nice transparent plastic tube.  It contains the Grasse rose petals and extracts southern France(May roses).  It smells faint of sweet rose floral scent.  It does not smell the same as the green tea one.


As for the ingredients, there are a lot of plant extract for exfoliating the skin gentle and for hydrating purposes.  The surfactant in this Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose are those gentle type of cleanser. Still it is not recommended to leave a cleanser on the face for too long.

I use it on the day that I was not using the green tea detoxer and this one is gentler as a morning cleanser.  I did not use another cleanser when I was using this rose detoxer.  The gelish texture with the rose is really pretty.  It has the pH of 5.5 for those that is about the low pH cleanser.

I use it on my dry face and then apply water when it is 10 seconds later. It foams up like cleanser.  It doesn't dry my skin but of course I have to apply all my other skincare after it.  Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose doesn't break me out but since it is just cleanser it doesn't get rid of my acne scars or other things.  The cleansing power is strong but weaker than the green tea one.  It removed all the sebum proof makeup.

Tips: avoid using exfoliator (clay mask, peeling gel, high percentage of AHA, BHA, retinoid, retinol, high vitamin C or actives) on days you are using this skin detoxer. As for dry skin, it is better if you use only one of the detoxer every 2 days. Using both on the same day can be really drying. You can also shorten the leave- on-time to 5 seconds.  Never leave it more than 10 seconds.  One can irritated skin if you mix and use this everyday along with all the actives.  You can use it as second cleanser if you are using oil cleanser or micellar water first.


Overall, Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Rose is a nice gentle cleanser for those that needs to exfoliate skin for makeup, don't have much time for other kind of exfoliation or cannot use harsher kind of actives such as retinol, tretinoin, 20% vitamin C, AHA, BHA etc.

I was really glad to be accepted into Althea Angels and they had gifted some gifts ❤❤❤.  One of it is Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea.  It is a collaboration between Althea and Get It Beauty.

It is made for urban busy people.  I have been using for 3 weeks so here is my review on it.  Do read how I use it since results can varies from change in usage.  Also I have sensitive acne prone skin that is prone to clogging. Also living in hot and humid country.

Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea comes with a box printed with a nice colour.  The tube is transparent and it is easy to keep track of the amount of product left.

It is made as a 2 in 1 cleanser pack for busy people.  The green tea are from Jeju Island which is the real colouring and extract in the product.

Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea contains 6000ppm of green tea and extract. The ingredients are nice with gentle surfactants in it and all the nice plant ingredients such as eggplant, oat, artichoke, aloe, turmeric, aloe vera and etc.  Still because it is a cleanser, don't ask too much from it.  It works as a gentle exfoliating cleanser for the skin.

The products is a gelish type of cleanser.  It is slightly more watery that straight thick gel.  It does contain fragrance, The floral scent is faint to me so I guess it is very small amount.


I use the Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea every two days at night. I don’t use an oil cleanser or a second cleanser on the night I use Skin Detoxer Green tea. I remove my makeup using micellar water and apply the dime size the skin detoxer green tea on my face. Then wash if off once it hit 10 seconds. There are some small bubbles just like cleanser.  The cleansing power is high as it removes everything including sebum proof makeup.


I check the pH with my pH strips and it is around 5-6. My skin is smooth and not irritated after washing off. My skin does look cleaner, brighter, less blackheads and whiteheads. The skin does feel dry if you do not apply anything after the cleanser. I like to wear a sheet mask or sleeping mask after.

I actually use this to exfoliate my scalp and it works too without messing up my hair.  I apply it like how it on my face and then wash it off after 10 seconds. 😃 It makes my scalp clean without irritation.

Overall, I do think Althea Real fresh Skin Detoxer is great for gentle chemical exfoliation of the skin instead of strong harsh exfoliator. It is also very easy and fast since it comes in form of 10seconds cleanser pack instead of the actives that you need to do long wait time that some fall asleep during their skincare routine.  So if you don't have any ingredients that exfoliate your skin, you could have a look at this one.😊

REVIEW ON TRILOGY ROSEHIP TRANSFORMATION CLEANSING OIL

Trilogy has been one of the popular organic brands from New Zealand that is great for their rosehip oil.  Even the Duchess of Cambridge uses Trilogy rosehip oil.

Today, I am going to share the Trilogy Rosehip Transformation Cleansing Oil that I have been using for three weeks.

Trilogy Rosehip Transformation Cleansing Oil comes in a chestnut brown plastic pump bottle. The cap is a bit flimsy so one might drop the bottle to the floor if one hold the plastic cap.


As for the ingredients avoid this if you have allergic to almond as this uses almond oil as the base. Coco-Caprylate is esterified oils and is an emollient. Plant oils are grape, rosehip, papaya seed, sunflower, rosemary and vitamin E.


The other ingredients mentioned: Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool are component of the plant oils which has antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, fungicidal, insect repellent and provide the natural scent of the product. However, since it is a cleansing oil then the fragrant and antiflammatory benefits doesn't stay long on the face.

Polyglyceryl-2 sesquioleate, PPolyglyceryl-2 caprylate are emulsifying agent and surfactant.


Trilogy Rosehip Transformation Cleansing Oil comes as yellowish watery liquid with slight viscosity to it. The texture is absolutely silky and easy to spread on the skin. It smells really good. If you are into the scent of the Bandung syrup (rose syrup), you would enjoy this much. It removes light makeup and even waterproof makeup. It does take a bit more time to remove the sebum proof felt eyeliner so either remove those using makeup remover first or use another gel cleanser after using this oil cleanser. Make sure to not let it run into the eyes unless you enjoy the cloudy eyes. It doesn't sting at all but I don't fancy cloudy eyes. The cleanser doesn't dry the skin and or leave it strip. It does have very thin feeling of oil which is not sticky on the face after rinsing with water. If you dislike it, it can easily be removed by a gentle second cleanser.


Overall, Trilogy Rosehip Transformation Cleansing Oil is a gentle oil cleanser for any skin type, during winter, love gentle organic plants ingredients and cost effective oil cleanser since it does long consider one only need a little during cleansing.

ABIB Hydration Creme Water Tube comes in a simplistic white box printed with black writing.  The moisturisers comes in form of an aluminium white tube with screw lid which reminds me of hand cream but this is a moisturiser.  I love this tube which is hygienic, travel friendly and easy for me to use. One also does not have to worry about contamination of product from spatula or fingers.

The ingredients such as niacinamide, macadamia oil, shea butter, camellia, cactus, purslane, snow fungus, moringa, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, sodium PCA are for brightening, moisturising, hydrating and anti aging for dry skin.  Most of the ingredients are meant to add moisturiser to the skin and keeps it on the skin which dry skin tend to lack.

ABIB Hydration Creme Water Tube cream is an opaque light watery cream moisturiser that turns into transparent smooth lotion on the skin.  The cream isn't thick at all so normal skin could also use it too.  It is not sticky or makes me uncomfortable at all which is nice given that I live in a hot humid weather.  It is unscented as I could not smell anything at all from it.  It would be great even for males.

My skin sure feels really hydrated throughout the day without any breakout. It does soothe and comfort my skin on the day when it is having some dryness cause by over exfoliation.

Overall, ABIB Hydration Creme Water Tube is a great gentle moisturiser for dry or normal skin type, during winter or damaged skin caused by over exfoliation, have no problem with plant ingredients, love travel friendly hygienic  tube and liking unscented products.

HYGGEE All In One Essence has a simple clean design of white box and white pump plastic bottle. The essence is to provide the skin with hydration, brightening, exfoliating and nourishing the skin without being harsh on the skin. Basically application of one product which covers all toner, essence, serum, moisturiser for the skin with just one product.

I really do like this multitasking concept as I don't really have the time to apply so many things in the morning when I am rushing for time and yet I need my skincare.

It comes as a lightweight gel type essence which is for maintaining the oil moisture balance for combination skin type. The gel spread easily on the skin, absorbs well, not sticky and act like a gel moisturiser during the day. My routine in the morning would be cleanser, Hygee all in one essence and  sunscreen.  If you have combination skin like me and live in the hot humid weather, this is enough to last me through the whole day.

My skin is soft, hydrated and bouncy with the application. The essence has a nice light citrus scent that disappears once the essence absorbs into the skin.

There are a lot of ingredients inside HYGGEE All In One Essence.
The first ingredient is the birch sap which is for hydration.
Silicone, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, protein, beeswax, derivative of olive oil and glycerin which are for hydration of the skin.
Ceramide, goat milk extract, collagen, cholesterol, amino acid and adenosine for the healing of the skin.
Many plant ingredients and niacinamide which is for calming, brightening and for hydration.
The ferments are to help with balancing the skin health and to reduce oxidative skin damage of the skin.  However, try to avoid ferments if you are dealing with fungal acne.



Overall, HYGGEE All In One Essence is a great multi tasking products (hydration, brightening, exfoliating and nourishing) , love ferments, combination skin, during summer, prefer simple efficient products, no allergic with the products and gentle products.
