On 8/6/2014, I attended this amazing Kiehl's Fun In The Sun Bloggers Event. It was my first time attending Butterflies event and I am really happy that I was chosen for it. I was actually too excited to the point that I woke up with a nightmare and I needed to do a reality check. I thought that I arrived only after the event had ended as I was unable to search for the venue. It was my first time in One Utama actually.
Phewhh, nothing of that sort happened and everything was great. I enjoyed myself very much there.

From the entrance, I met Mr.Bones and wrote my name there.
The Secret Garden is located at the roof top of One Utama. Take the lift in between Nandos and Starbuck at the new wing section. It only opens during weekends.
Then we walked passed many beautiful and unique plants. They are many rare plants there and one that are not usually found outside.
The lanterns are put up by Kiehl’s team.

Such beautiful fairy tales do exist in the big city of KL.
I really am not good in gardening but here is my cactus terrarium and there is a reason on why I chose the biggest wine glass out of the other glasses there. Since I have to walk back, the cactus terrarium also act as my sort of safety measure. I am scared since I keep hearing about those snatch thief events but this cactus terrarium made me feel safe and just in case IF.. but luckily nothing bad happened.
Kiehl team are really awesome for even reading my mind. I am bad in gardening and I can’t believe myself that I can come up with this.
Before we go into their oil free range, let's get to know more about Kiehl's.

We have the oil test on the forehead and cheeks area but mine is hard to gauge since I sweat too much. I thought that is was oil over my face but it is actually sweat.

The oil free range for normal to oily skin . There are only three products in the range =) . If you have other skin concern other than hydration, then I would advice to go into the shop for consultation and bring home some samples to try.

Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser is a quick-lathering cleansing foam that thoroughly removes impurities and visibly reduces excess oil on skin’s surface, while leaving skin looking more balanced. With Imperata Cylindrica Root and Lemon Fruit Extracts, our non-stripping, sulfate-free formula leaves skin clean and refreshed without over-drying. Gentle enough for sensitive skin. Oil-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, colorant-free.
Gently massage into damp facial areas avoiding the immediate eye area; rinse thoroughly.

The Imperata Cylindrica plant thrives in dry, excessively saline environments and is native to many of Earth’s deserts, but is especially prolific in the Australian Outback. Imperata Cylindrica’s roots contain high concentrations of potassium which provides an immediate and lasting hydrating effect. In our formulation, Imperata Cylindrica helps skin to store and retain moisture efficiently – even in the driest weather conditions. It is believed that indigenous Australians of centuries past used the desert plant as a substitute for salt, due to its high saline content.
Lemon Extract
This bright and zesty citrus fruit has long had a prominent role in cosmetics and aromatherapy. Lemons are high in natural fruit acids and have the highest percentage of Vitamin C of all the fruits. Its extracts from the fruit and essential oil (expressed from the peel) have astringent and antiseptic quality that freshens, stimulates and rejuvenates sluggish skin and adds lusterous shine to the hair. In aromatherapy, lemons inspire a cooling, refreshing and uplifting feeling.
The cleanser is seriously fragrance free. I couldn't smell anything from it. However,
If your skin is the dry type, it is better not to use it. It is good if you have normal to oily type
skin type. It foam up very fast and
using a pea size is enough to create a lot of foam. Tips: foam the cleanser up on your palm
before applying it on your face. The key
to gentle cleansing is foam the cleanser on your palm. There will be less friction and easy to clean
to. It cleanses the skin really
well. It works to remove light makeup too.
Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner
RM85/ 250ml
Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner is formulated to visibly reduce excess oil on skin’s surface, while leaving it instantly fresh and healthy looking. Made with Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract and Antarcticine to soothe and hydrate skin, our non-drying alcohol-free formula gently removes any remaining residue, dirt and oil without stripping skin of vital moisture. PH-balanced, and tested for safety and gentleness. Oil-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, colorant-free.
After cleansing, moisten a cotton pad with the toner and apply to face, avoiding the immediate eye area.

The Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner smells very light but I just can’t figure out what
it is. Something like very light lemon as it is not those choking type and this toner
doesn’t contain alcohol at all so it would not dry your skin. It is hydrating and keeps the skin matte
too. I find that using this does help to
condition my T-zone to be less oily. This is sure not those traditional toner that can harm the skin and I do like it because of the hydrating properties but at the same time it controls the oil production. It is really lovely and enjoyable to use them.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
Vitamin E is a lipid soluble naturally found in plant leaves, cereal germ oils, and milk. It is known for its antioxidant and moisturizing properties.
Instruction: Apply to clean and toned facial skin day and night.
Kiehl Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream Fresh Hydration is refreshing, non-sticky formula that help to balance the oil and hydrate the skin. It is also fragrance-free and does not leave residue. I use this range in the morning and this lightweight gel cream help to minimizes the appearance of shine. My skin is well moisturised, refreshed and appear more balanced too. Our skin will produce more oil if it is dry and it can cause clog pores so don't deprived your skin until there is no oil at all. One only need a pea size
gel for the whole face. Applying too much can just make you feel sticky. Don't worry as the oil-free formula does not add additional oil to the skin and it is enough to hydrate the skin. The gels contains a menthol-derivative, provides a refreshing feeling to the skin without the harm on the skin. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream Fresh Hydration is also allergy-tested, without parabens, silicones, fragrance, colorants, or oil.
