Korean skincare is known for their extensive skincare😅. Some even reach 25 skincare  products in one skincare routine at night. Mist is one of the essential skincare steps to add hydration especially during summer or dry season.  Some people find using a mist helps product to sink better without touching their face with their hands😍.

Always21 Soothing & Refresh Aloe Vera 95% Soothing Mist has a fine mist💓.  It is not as fine as the feeling of spraying cloud on my face but it is not those feeling of spraying water on my face.  It is fine enough for me not to feel huge water drops on my face.  The mist spray equally which is quite nice in my opinion. It smells of those aloe vera products which is fine to me.  The smells disappeared once the mist dry up.  The mist doesn't leave a sticky residue but rather a hydrated bouncy feeling on the skin =) .The feeling does last about one hour but it could also because I am living in a humid place.  The hydrated feeling at does not disappeared immediately like what other mist do to me.

The mist does make a difference in the level of hydration my skin and being in such hot humid country having a Always21 Soothing & Refresh Aloe Vera 95% Soothing Mist sure comes handy as I do not have to touch my face with my fingers.  I also use it to set my makeup 😃 .

As for the ingredients, Always21 Soothing & Refresh Aloe Vera 95% Soothing Mist doesn't contains Butylene Glycol and paraben which some people can be sensitive to it.  The Aloe Vera is 95% and the rest are alcohol, water, Avena Strigosa, Allantoin, Glycerin, hydrogenated castor oil and preservative.

I am not sure if it does anything to help my acne but it does help soothe redness from the 35 Celsius weather.  It is affordable and sure does last long since it is 150ml for RM28.90.

Overall, Always21 Soothing & Refresh Aloe Vera 95% Soothing Mist is great if you love aloe vera, love a handy mist and hydrates your skin.  I think it does suit every skin type unless you are allergic to aloe vera or one of the ingredients in it.  It can also use as a mist to sooth and hydrate the skin after the sun at the beach.

I am sorry for this lateness in reviewing products from this Japanese's sake brewery, Kikumasamune.  All the products from Kiku masamune contains ferments so for those who are into affordable Japanese skincare products here is the review for the foam cleanser contains sake filtrate.  Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin Care Wash Foam.

Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin Care Wash Foam does foams a lot with a pea size products.  It has a PH of 8 which is high.  It sure cleanses the skin too well that I feel that my skin is tight.  The product come up from the tube in forms of emulsion so it is easy to squeeze too much if one is not careful.  It does remove all the other makeup including waterproof makeup which I guess is the reason for its high PH.  Higher PH cleanses better but also harsher on the skin.

Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin Care Wash Foam contains vitamin E, sake filtrate, horse placenta proteinm foaming agents and cleansing agents.  As with all the other Kikumasamune products, this smells like rice ferment smells but it can smell like banana or bubblegum to others.

Overall, Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin Care Wash Foam is more suitable for someone with lower skin PH (males), oily skin type,  too lazy for double cleansing at night, doesn't mind the horse placenta ingredient in it, love ferments and like foam cleanser.

I prefer the Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care cleansing gel.

Kiku masamune are famous for the which is Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care Lotion(high moist) for the hydrating properties, giant size and ferments.

If there is another product from the Kiku masamune that I like from the all the other 5 products that I have tried is this Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care cleansing gel.

Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care cleansing gel contains sake filtrate, arbutin, horse protein, parabens and some other cleansing agents.  The cleanser comes up as opaque pink gel which doesn't foam at all. I do need to use a little more compare to Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin Care Wash Foam to avoid tugging my skin. The gel is smooth and is like jelly which is nice.

Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care cleansing gel has PH of 5-6 which I had checked with my lousy PH paper XD .  I use it as my morning cleanser since it is gentle and does leave my skin hydrated.  It smells like a gentle bubblegum to me but some other may think differently of the scent.

It comes a huge tube, affordable price and gentle on the skin.  Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care cleansing gel doesn't removed makeup that well so use an oil cleanser or micellar water or makeup remover before this cleanser.

Overall, I think Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care cleansing gel is a great morning low PH cleanser for every skin type, loves ferment, no allergic to the ingredients listed and prefer gel cleanser.

I just wish that they will remove the animal ingredient from it.  I feel bad for using it each time T_T . I don't know how many of you out there share the same sentiment as I am.


I prefer this Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care cleansing gel over the Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin Care Wash Foam .  However, you might different opinion.

I am trying to put up all the reviews for Kiku masamune products individually instead in one giant posts so here is the review on the lesser known products of Kiku masamune.

Here is a review on the Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care Lotion which is a hydrating toner.  This  is the lesser known compare to the Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care Lotion(high moist) because there is no rave on it.

Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care Lotion comes in a giant bottle of 500ml for about USD12 which is really affordable considering that it has sake filtrate in it.  The ingredients are shorter compare to the high moist one and it does have alchohol denat and added another paraben in it. It doesn't have malititol, methyl gluceth-10, hydroxyethylcellulose, phenoxyethanol, hydrogenated castor oil and no ceramide in it. The reason for the less moisturising effect.


The lotion comes out watery and it has the same signature smells of sake.  It get absorbs into the skin or evaporated into the air really fast as well compare to the high moist one without leaving any traces.  I think this is good for someone that hates feeling anything on the face for more that a few seconds.  It isn't as hydrating as the high moist one but it does have the silky feeling when I touch my skin with my hands.

Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care Lotion also has the same irritating pump which just spray out in any direction it wants.  It is affordable cheap toner that works great as mist for setting makeup, spray into oily hair and cooling mist in the hot weather.  Personally it will works great for someone with oily skin type in high humidity places.

Overall, Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care Lotion is more for oily skin type, during summer, high humidity that cause problems for products to absorb, hates waiting for products to absorb into the skin, no problem with ferments and animal ingredient in it.

As for preference, Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care Lotion and Kiku masamune Japanese Sake Brewing Skin care Lotion(high moist) are both toners that I like to use depending on the weather and my skin condition.

COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask uses red ginseng water and the second ingredient is the snail secretion filtrate, hydrating ingredient sodium hyaluronate, no fragrance and doesn't have paraben in it. Allantoin ingredients for anti inflammatory is presented which is good. Still do check the ingredients list of the mask.

The liquid of COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask is red because of the red ginseng water.  It is also interesting concept since I haven't seen any sheet mask using red ginseng water yet.

The sheet mask does have a good fit and it is of medium thickness.  The size if medium and does fit any face type. This one is able to cover my jaws which other sheet mask don't.  It is soft and cling to my face.  There is a good amount of liquid so I use it all over my neck and to apply the essence all over my face after masking.  I can't clearly tell you how it smells like but it does smell a little of chlorine water mix with floral scent.

 COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask does hydrate my skin well since a hydrated face heals better.  It doesn't irritate my skin or cause it to break out which is a good thing.

Overall, COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask is a nice sheet mask if you are looking for some hydration, love the brand and love the ingredients.  Of course sheet mask is not a miracle skincare products but using it provide fast hydration for the skin.

HOW TO GET RID OF ACNE AND ASIAN SKINCARE TIPS FOR ACNE

I am terribly sorry to say I didn’t manage to do my skincare routine for acne prone skin for you. This post is just sitting in my draft chilling for 2 years because each time I wanted to publish it, I have to try something new. Since I blog, I change my skincare products more than snake changes their skin. I just do not want to give the impression that it is a MUST to use 20 products in one skincare routine in order to get skin like Korean stars.

Besides, some people might think I play favoritism or write glowing reviews just because I get the products for review. You do know I don’t bash a product like there is no tomorrow but I will be honest about why it just doesn’t work for me. I don’t have HG also unless I am sure that the product(s) have work wonderfully for me in whatever situation or I just cannot live without it.

My skin was okay until my skin broke again in January 2016 because I was dealing with a lot of things. I got kick out of a job, need money to pay bills and being very sickly because I was not eating well. All in all, I was not okay inside out. SO grumbly aside and being thankful that you stay with me especially Luscious that even send me a care package. THANK you =)  .

So, here are some new tips that I use to deal with acne. You do not have to get what I use since it is just a guide.  There are many to choose and please look into ingredients.

Tips mentioned in the video:

1.  Suitable skincare products-cleanser, moisturizer and a spot treatment.

2.  Find out your allergies and avoid them. Common food allergies are milk, sugar, flour,wheat.

3.  Drink warm ginger +turmeric to help with the acne inflammation.

Always21 Nature's Recipe Jeju Volcanic Deep Pore Cleansing Clay Mask contains water as the first ingredients along with other ingredients such as Volcanic Ash and Kaolin that helps to clean the skin.  Since the first ingredient is water, the mask is really smooth and easy to apply.  I am not really doing that well with titanium dioxide in sunscreen but not sure about mask since the contact time is short but titanium dioxide is a great ingredients for some people who do well with it. It helps to heal the skin.  I prefer the zinc oxide, green tea leaves and the cocoa extract💓 inside the  Always21 Nature's Recipe Jeju Volcanic Deep Pore Cleansing Clay Mask but of course it would be great if it is higher.  The second ingredients are Butylene Glycol which common in most skincare products but do check out the ingredients list first.

The application of the clay mask is really easy and smooth😍.  It smells like how other normal clay mask will smell.  The mask dries down easy too and wash off easily too. I do feel my skin is smoother, softer and looks brighter.  However, this might be drying if you have dry skin since I do feel dry if I just leave my skin unattended for 30minutes.

Overall, Always21 Nature's Recipe Jeju Volcanic Deep Pore Cleansing Clay Mask is good for combination, oily skin with pores problem😎.  It will help to reduce skin oiliness and to help clean the pores. Clay mask can also reduce dead skin cells build on the skin so do not use it too much in a week as it can cause over exfoliation.
It is best to combine with a good skincare routine and regular use of clay mask to see results in your skincare routine.
