FOOD REVIEW ON TTL HUA DIAO CHINESE WINE CHICKEN NOODLE TAIWAN

Hi foodie,

One of the must try when you are travelling  is food.  Where is the fun if you don't try local food right?

I got this famous noodles from 7 Eleven in Taiwan.  This TTL Hua Diao Chinese Wine Chicken Noodle take the name from the Chinese drunken chicken dish.  This use Hua Diao (花雕) Chinese rice wine.

TTL is a company that is owned by the government of Taiwan and it is also known as Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation (臺灣菸酒公司 in Chinese). TTL started in  1898 as the local monopoly buy monopoly itself ended in 2002 when Taiwan joined the World Trade Organization. Now, TTL also produces other items such as crackers, dried fruits and many instant noodles.

Packaging- This one comes in paper noodles bowl with chopstick and simple easy to understand picture of the food. It has everything written in Chinese wording though.  So just make a guess work of real thing.

Inside: There are four sachets inside the noodles.  The paste sachet, the sauce pocuh which contains chicken breast inside, powder sachet and a white packet written with TTL and Chinese wording(the wine), .  It is hygienic and easy since you can just pour hot water into the packet and close it with the chopstick. Then a real meal is easily prepared.  The powder sachet contains goji berries, onions and powder.
The rice wine packet is the most expensive thing in this chicken noodle so don't throw away.  You only pour the rice wine packet after you finish cooking and when you want to serve it.

Review:  The noodles is thin type made of wheat flour noodles which is really nice and has the right texture.  It is neither too soft or too hard which is great.  The broth does smell nice with strong Chinese rice cooking wine.  The chicken is a bit dry since they use breast meat but it really tasted just like fresh cooked chicken.

It is not spicy at all and I do think that this TTL Hua Diao Chinese Wine Chicken Noodle is really nice.  I think it is sure one of the best instant noodles for those that can't eat spicy food and wanting something different.  However, if you are a super picker this is still not bad 😁

FOOD REVIEW: BULDAK SAMYANG HOT CHICKEN FLAVOUR RAMEN STEW TYPE

Hi foodies,

Today review is this Buldak Samyang Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen Stew which I tried out of curiousity.

Samyang Foods, Inc. was established in 1961 produced Korea’s First Ramen in September 1963.  During that time, rice and mixed grains were scarce and so the efforts to overcome the food shortage created Samyang Ramen.

The Hot Chicken stir-fried noodles has become very popular in China.  The representative character is named Hochi.   Their other products are Samayang Ramen, Chacharoni, Kimchi Ramen, Sutah Ramen.  There are some only for export such as YUKGAEJANG 육개장, Samyang Cup Ramen (BEEF), Potato Ramen 감자라면 etc.

The Buldak Extra Spicy Roasted Chicken Ramen has a rating of about 8,000 Scoville Heat Units but it is not the most spicy so I thought this chicken flavor ramen should be okay.  This one is about 4400 SHU.

I mean my level of spiciness is just medium which is about tiki masala or tabasco at around 2,500 SHU or Sriracha at around 2,200 SHU since I just don't enjoy the sweating and feeling my tongue swell up bigger than the size they are.

Packaging: It comes inside a plastic packet written with English wording along with pictures on how to cook it so it is easy to understand.  It is certified Halal.  Inside there is the powder and the sauce.  As this is the stew type, only add in the sauce after done with the cooking.

Review: I was fooled by the look of it. I added all the sauce and powder and so I had instant regret 😭 .  Don't be like me, add in only a bit if you are fearful incase it is too spicy.  I had to choice but to proceed with eating it.  If you could see my face, tears swelling up on my eyes, sweating profusely, my lips and tongue swell up.  I ran over to the fridge and got some milk chocolate and instantly ate that up since I have yogurt or milk stuff.  I also proceed to eat bananas, rice and salted tofu to reduce the damage that it has on my stomach. My stomach hates me because I can feel the 'heat' from it.

Overall, Samyang Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen Stew is not my type of noodles unless your tolerance of spiciness is high.  I think I will just stick to their mild version Kimchi flavour  which is available on Amazon from now on.  I prefer their mild version noodles better.

A DAY IN MY LIFE DURING WEEKENDS

Hi beauties,

I talked about a day in my life on my working days HERE so here is another one during my weekends which has more details on my off day.  I don't live in a fancy housing area so here is just some simple life that I have and do.

A DAY IN MY LIFE DURING WEEKENDS

I enjoy my off day very much since I could relax and not worry about being late to work.  I have more time to sleep and don't have to stick to a particular schedule or be late to work.
The worries of being late to work is just stressful to me.

I also showed you what is inside my skincare closet. Sorry I ended it before I opened all the way of the door last time.  I am afraid of showing it actually. 😂

During weekends, I can just enjoy the moment of being able to live my life. Remember to always take time to recharge and have time for yourself.  Let me know if there are more things you will like to know about me.

The diffuser is actually from Kmall, a Korean site for online shopping back up by the Korean government.

No product review here.  However, the opinions expressed here are my own and honest as always.
